    So I am taking the deck to my first real tournament, a 1k in Scarborough, Maine. Trying to figure out sideboard in an open field.

    I am thinking 2 leylines, 1 worship, 2 unified will, 1 path (4th), 1 engineered explosives (2nd), 2 Kataki, 1 Stony Silence, 2 Rest in Peace, 2 Blessed Alliance, 1 Eidolon of Rhetoric

    Very scared of Valakut and G/B value. Takes major mistakes on their part for me to win.

    Also, I find myself sideboarding out Wanderer's in pretty much every match except Storm or Delver, neither of which I have seen in months. Am I wrong?

    I tried two reflector mage in my main deck this week. I found the card very powerful, but like the 20 or so other powerful planeswalkers, non-spirits, sorceries, enchantments and artifacts I have tried, it has the same problem - it must be played on my turn. If I am casting items on my turn, unless it is a specific sideboard card like kataki or stony silence, I am far behind in the game. I am going with one for now, and playing a bird as a 5th mana dork. The turn two acceleration is just so important in the deck.

    My spirits list is consistently successful, and it only runs 20 lands. Why is everyone so stuck on 22? Also sideboard is constantly changing due to fluctuations in the meta and evaluation of cards. I have tried Linvala, Gaddock Teeg, Eidolon of Rhetoric, Unified Will, Nissa, Steward of Elements, Smuggler's Copter and many others.

    I only been on the list for two or three weeks so I'm certainly not a veteran but I have to ask why is everyone running 22 Lands? Even if my Noble all die our curve is so low that I really have no Mana problems with the exception of the occasional blood moon. I've been running two Smugglers copters which help me find additional lands as well but that's not helping me filter *that* much

    I would think the new Nessa might be an interesting planeswalker her Mana cost is pretty flexible her + 2 is helpful for coco and quickly pumps her up while allowing us to put lands on the bottom her zero can be huge especially if we know what's on top thanks her + 2. Her - 7 will help us finish off the game

    So one deck that I really struggle against is skred red. Burn can be difficult but is beatable however this deck I find totally unwinnable pre and post board. They have extremely efficient removal which generally keeps me from having any type of board presence, they are fast enough that collected company rarely arrives on time, their blood moons are devastating and so you have to hold back to try to stop that and then they just Bolt the spell queller, and storm breath dragon absolutely blanks all of our removal.

    Last night I brought in a detention sphere three blessed Alliance and two unified Wells. Unified will is hard because I generally find myself, unless I can land a Geist never having more than one or two creatures out, and so unified will can quickly turn into a dead card. I could bring in laylines but they don't Target me. It looks like I'm going to have to go to two or even three spellskites in the sideboard. Blessed Alliance is pretty good against them but stormbreath dragon is not even remotely their best play.

    Does anyone else have any thoughts? Has anyone else beaten this deck or found a good strategy for it?

    Played this last night, got second place. Didn't see the sword, tamiyo was win more and I hated tapping out. Copter was insanely good.

    I have consistently been disappointed by Gideon. I prefer domri or lead the stampede honestly. The ally trigger is nice, but we need evasion, alpha strike, or big card advantage. I guess at 19 lands his cost is also prohibitive in a way coco is not.

    I have tried 75 different ways to grant evasion without reducing ally triggers, coco hits, or excessive mana costs. Rancor is amazing but reduces coco and more paths are usually better. Ondu champion misses on coco. I find firemantle to not be enough support to evangel

    Anyone got any thoughts about the new God, Rhonda, and the new Nissa walker? Both seem very interesting for us. Rhonda is hit by CoCo, can boost someone else, and if we on the attack, it shouldn't be hard to get 4power. New Nissa seems very good for us - easy to get creatures onto the battlefield. No way to deal with other creatures though.

    I have tried the following cards: Rancor, ondu Champion, Brave the elements. All significantly weakened our Coco's which are already vulnerable to frequent misses. Cards I have thought about include arlinn Kord who has two abilities which are great for us unfortunately both of those abilities are on her backside.

    We could take out vial for more threats or interaction but the problem is vial is not only so good on an aggressive route, but it also allows us so much routes of protection using evangelical.

    I played allies for about 6 months last year, and I really....REALLY wanted it to work. However, the new allies we got in the BFZ block were so utterly disappointing. I keep going back to the list (partially because kabira evangel is OP), but have a hard time beating combo/abusive matchups like abzan company, tron, eggs, ect.
    I have considered kazadul warlord, ondu champion. All give amazing benefits, but neither are hit by CoCo
