I live on the Roseville/antelope border I'm willing to play!

I just got into magic not long ago and working on a combo elf deck what are some of tricks or tips you guys have for playing this deck the best possible way? I have watched videos of people combo off but I don't quite get it yet. And my friend says you can't tap 3 elves the turn they come in with heritage Druid but I thought you could? Any advice please.

Can you still block an attacker with an elf them use Wirewood symbiote to return it to hand so it doesn't die?

I want to build a mono green elf deck with the cards I have right now but will eventually get th cradles and other lands, I'm just starting so this is the list of what I have so far please help make this a good enough deck for mainly casual competitive play with friends! I can buy a little more if I have to for now.
