Also, this is a neat effect! With all the discard, it's really neat. Man this set is making me want to give Standard a swing again.

Unless you're casting spells in combat, I fail to see how having a narrow mana dork get deathtouch is even relevant.

Sylvyn Caryatid made sense as a rare. But this?

Solid card, especially in EDH. Damn that's amazing. One mana tutor for any creature or land? Dredge/Sidisi especially have no problem getting there.

    I found this part funny:
A chill rain fell from patchy clouds, and something howled in the night. Jace had only been on Innistrad for two days, and he already hated it. The only saving grace so far was a new leather coat he'd bought to keep the rain and some of the cold at bay.

He just happened to find a leather coat that complements his costume, gauntlets and all?

Jace is cute. Just love the guy. My husband.

Wish one of his cards would summon illusion tokens. at 5 CMC this one should have hd 4 abilities with +1 summon a 2/2 Blue Illusion token IMO.

Yes thank yoooou, I've been wanting a Jace for my illusion deck forever.

Gowrl. He had that leather coat tailored to his slim, toned physique, as they do. He's a touch Bi you see, and has good taste in fashion. It's a sexy coat too. Can't blame him hating Innistrad - the place is downright horrifying. If I planeswalked onto it, I'd walk right back out. Unless You're in Gavony in AVR times, or Nephalia is pretty cool.

IDK why no Jacey illusions Frown

My favorite SOI UR yet. I really loved this one. This is what Innistrad is all about for me! I love Jace and Lilliana's interactions. To the point that I actually lol'ed when she whispered in his ear. They're a mess HAHA

Pretty cool card. I wish she herself had Hexproof though.

In terms of Jace PW art for me:

    1. Jace, the Living Guildpact
    2. Jace, the Mind Sculptor (a very close second)
(Vryn's Prodigy goes here if it were a PW)
    3. Jace, Memory Adept
    4. Jace, Unravler of Secrets
    5. Jace Beleren

All abilities on this Jace are very impressive IMO, I really love this card functionally. If it had been 4 CMC, I think he'd be pretty groundbreaking, though. But at 5, it's a touch much.

Love Jace's abilities. Loathe that horrid art. So upset it wasn't the key art, even though I knew it wouldn't be.

I'll wait for the promo of this card I suppose. Perhaps it will have better alternate art.

Jace is 69 as expected, so that leaves 70 a mystery in this set.

Funny. I think the art is definitely one of the better Jaces.

The ugliest Jace will always be probably Beleren, and the weirdest one Manga Memory Adept. Smile

Olivia has a really...long and weird name Smile At least they kept her vampirification ability ...kind of.

I also find it funny that with the Jace-Tamiyo link they are hinting at here, the last ability mimicks a wholly different soratami Smile
There is just something off about it for me. The vantage point makes him look overweight. I know the attempt is to be 'spooky moonlight on a pale face' sort of look, and the art most certainly evokes a mysterious horror feel, but he just looks unattractive in it. I love the key art for SOI with Jace and the female geist behind him. It always burns me when that art doesn't show up on cards, especially when it's downright amazing.

Your opponent has no creatures and a PW. Which card destroys the PW at 3 mana and instant speed? If you answered "both" thank you for playing.

Wrong, your opponent can still choose creature and then sac nothing as far as I know.

Incorrect. If your opponent has a choice they can make, they must make it in leiu of not making any decision at all.
One way or another, your little Gossomer is going to the slaughter.

What if she's summoning Griselbrand back? Would make sense why Lilliana is returning.

I got the impression Avacyn started off as robotic, but over time acquired understanding and more of a conscious existence and sense of self. That she, like a child angel, was learning how to perform her function, and integrate into angelic and human culture. How to answer prayers, foster faith, etc.

Nahiri's actions kill hundreds on Innistrad, annihilates Markov Manor and forces Sorin to execute Avacyn herself.

Nahrir already more of a threat than two Eldrazi titans.

Ugin deserves her wrath more than Sorin IMO. He's the one who wanted to trap the Eldrazi knowing all the while they could be killed.
