Way to buy into propaganda. And the Trump reference about "locker room talk" - way to push your political agendas on a card game forum and assume your opinions are the status quo, and the only right way to think. That's why everyone is sick of liberals and SJWs. Arrogance and ignorance. No one gives a damn bro, we're here for card games. Get over yourselves and off your righteous soapbox.Posted in: Articles

I did NOT want this to be a Judge promo. Now acquiring one will be a NIGHTMARE
UGH this is what I hate most about this game!
Well I mean...
I explained my reasoning.
With Tamiyo having done research with him, and her journal and references to her on several cards so far, it's funny to think he has a shot at all after all the abuse of "he's just an irrelevant character, it will never happen! Tamiyo wasn't even important!" I'll be extremely sad if he isn't on a card though. Which surprisingly is possible... for whatever reason (I'm guessing Limited) some very cool things just don't make it on cards. It makes no sense to me, but it happens. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but I have. If we don't get Jenrik this time, I'm pretty certain we never will. He makes the most sense in this block now.
I will say that Arixmethes is the character I want most on a card. Or cards. He could easily be a land card for the city, and a creature for the whole thing.
+ We know Avacyn was designed as an arbiter of balance.
+ Avacyn will favor humanity only because the plane, by design, has humanity at a disadvantage.
+ Nahiri overheard Ugin speaking of the need for balance (hinting at Innistrad and the creation of Avacyn to moderate it, no doubt) to Sorin when they convinced her to use Zendikar as the Eldrazi trap in The Lithomancer.
+ It has been stated before, albeit by former Creative members, that Avacyn could turn on humanity if the scale tips
+ The Lunarch's Journal revealed how Avacyn is not a permanent solution to the dark forces of Innistrad, she protects humans as livestock for vampires
+ Nahiri is seen attacking Markov Manor and presumably killing many Vampires
+ A balance has been upset by this
+ Avacyn is influenced by Nahiri's actions
+ Tamiyo mentions Avacyn's madness
+ Clipped wings show humans attacking an angel, all of whom follow the command of Avacyn
= Whether intentionally or unintentionally, by direct or indirect means, Innistrad's undoing comes at the hands of what was once its salvation - Avacyn
Which plays just well with Nahiri's intention to wreck the plane.
The Hanwier chronicle also mentions how their "faith had already been challenged before." Now it is being challenged again.
Exactly. I do doubt that Nahiri and Tamiyo crossed paths at all, but it's easily possible. I suspect Tamiyo merely did research until the situation on Innistrad became dire. Frankly Innistrad is hardly the most hospitable place. Things could have simply gotten too dangerous to solve the puzzle for which Tamiyo acquired all those clues. She is not part of the Gatewatch as Jace is, Tamiyo is simply curious. Why risk her life? She learned what she did and likely left when it became too dangerous to solve things further.
Tamiyo did her research on Avacyn and the moon in Jenrik's tower, which is probably where this journal is from. I'm betting Jace took it to Markov Manor because that's where his investigation took him next. I bet he found the Manor devastated the way it is in the background of this art by chance, because in the time frame between Tamiyo conducting her research in Jenrik's tower (and writing this journal) and then Jace finding it and traveling to Markov Manor, Nahiri showed up an obliterated it.
Avacyn must indeed be very powerful. Even Lilliana didn't pull anything upon her release, seeking to finish off Griselbrand ASAP and run out of Innistrad. Her shock at Avacyn's appearance seems to be a testament to the angel's power. Avacyn is, after all, the equivalent on Innistrad to the Theros pantheon on Theros in a way, as the plane's head Legend.
I'd suspect Tamiyo just planeswalked away. Especially if Avacyn went mad. She did her research, but things may have gotten out of hand to remain further. She could have left her journal to help the locals crack the code to peace on their world.
I just don't understand why theories here, especially outrageous ones, keep being passed for fact? People get fixated on these ideas and just won't let go. Nahiri is Avacyn. Then Girselbrand corrupted Avacyn (despite being contrary to everything we know about Avacyn up until this point) and best of all, Emrakul could only have gone to Innistrad, in addition to everything else going wrong there already?
Wow people.
My vote is for Tragic Poet though. One of my favorite cards in the game. Beautiful art too. Wish it would be reprinted in the modern border.
I love a lot of Rebecca Guay, Terese Nielsen, etc. but I'll post a few of my favorites. In reality though, there are literally so many cards I love that I'd basically list all my EDH decks here.
And the Theros and original Zendikar Basic Lands.
Yaaaaasss loving this art.
I don't blame Nahiri. I hope she messes up Tarkir next.
I wanted the Blue mythic to be Jenrik. With Jace as the other Blue mythic, he's either a rare or not in this set.
Also, not really feeling this. It doesn't even feel mythic. Rare at best. What happened to cool, alluring, story-related mythics? Sick of these basic creatures with boring effects being mythics.
