I wasn't sure where to put this so I figured Spec was the best fit.

With Scry being made evergreen, what do you guys think about the future of Scry Lands? Are they now in a better position to see reprints, or are their names too Therosan to be put in any set that isn't on everyone's favorite Greek set?

It's been almost 5 hours since the first FRF prerelease's fired off. We should be getting info from Eastern Asia and Oceania soon.

Ive seen Ugin, someone bought a bunch of Ugin packs online and opened them already. But no, he is not foil sadly.

Bought them online? Excuse me while I go laugh at how stupid you think we are! At least post pictures of the cards he opens. I'm not buying your story, but you do you boo-boo.

I_am_outerspace: Now we have the problem of how is Vol getting back to his time period.

Skyknight: That makes the most sense to me, but again, what happens to Vol?

Christiano: Well, Nahiri is probably dead, she was just a regular Kor Walker. Sorin didn't just say, "Hey let's go check on the jail I built a thousand years ago that is supposed to last forever just for the lulz, I swear I remember reading somewhere that he went back because he sensed the Eldrazi awakening. And again, I fail to see how what Doug said supports your argument. Even the quite you gave doesn't. It talks about people going to Tarkir, not leaving it. There is no support for Ugin jumping 1280 years if he tries to planeswalk.

It's on the activity cards that everyone just throws away.

I too read Doug's post, but the simple fact of the matter is that it makes no sense. If Ugin was revived, he should've helped when they broke free, and this whole 'When he planes walks he also time walks' thing doesn't have any support. All Doug meant by the planeswalking will show you the current timeline was that when people planewalk to Tarkir (his exact words) they will experience the New Tarkir of DTK, not, 'yeah, if Sarkhan or Ugin planeswalk they will also jump through hella time"

So I did some math, and if it is 40 promo's (plus the 5 basics) than every 20th pack has Ugin, provided they don't allow double's in the same pack. But that's only if I did it right. Which I probably didn't.

But if the "hedron cocoon" lasts for 1280 years that's not an issue. The timeline would be nearly identical (cocoon rather than tomb being the only real difference) up until the moment Sarkhan leaves.

If then Hedron cacoon lasts that long then Sarkhan better book it back to the Nexus and hope it works both ways. Or jump in himself so that he doesn't die on Old Tarkir. And wait! That explanation means they don't absolutely have to return to Zendikar! Nooooo

Also, who else is thinks the Temur will pass along story's of Yasova's encounter with Vol and start freaking out when he appears in the New Tarkir?

Don't forget Arcbond is one of Mardu's promos.

I like the "Ugin puts Vol in a bubble for a 1000 years theory". My problem with the time travel story "not changing continuity" is that if Ugin is now alive when the Eldrazi break free, why doesn't he go help immediately like Sorin? They will either:

    A) Have to rewrite Zendikar (YAY RETURN TO ZENDIKAR)

    or

    B) Explain why Ugin was too lazy to planeswalk and help out. (YAY, RETURN TO ZENDIKAR)

Also, since I doubt Nahiri is still around, are Sorin and Ugin gonna need to hold a job search?

Are they printing fetches in FRF? Or was that just a rumor going around? Also top card is going to have to be either Monastery Mentor, or Soulfire grand master. Two incredibly powerful cards in my favorite colors? YES!

They are doing fetches like they did Shocks in Dragon's Maze, that is, you can get them instead of a basic, except FRF has the refuge lands instead of basics.

Also, poisoning a guy that's gonna die of cancer in a week doesn't mean you aren't guilty of murder.

That depends, are we in Oregon or New Jersey ;-)

Anyway, I liked this weeks UR. That twist with Yasova, can I get a hell yeah? That was well written.

I think Bolas probably took a vision she really had and twisted it so she would support his effort. Seems like his kinda thing.

I agree that Dragons probably aren't the best thing for Tarkir, but I can see Sarkhan's point. The Khans right now are kinda petty douchebags. They don't have anything to fight for, so they just pick fights with each other and cause the plane to suffer. At least if dragons are around things seem a little balanced and the Khans have to care for their clan (Except for Tasigur, he's a prat).

Huh, ok. I've been asking about opinions in the streams today and got nothing. That's a cool thought though, thank you Doctor.

So after rewatching the SDCC video, I noticed the fact that Louie is being released in March. Which means that the months between sets this year will be 2-4-2-4 (starting at M15 and ending at M16) Anyone think that's weird? Especially considering the fact that the Third set has always come in May, and never as early as March. Could this be part of the new block structure? Or am I just sleep-deprived and seeing conspiracies where none exist?
