Delirium is going to be next to impossible to enable in standard.
Anyone who plays modern knows that it's a legitimate feat to get a tarmogoyf to 4/5, and that's with BOTH graveyards AND fetchlands AND a tonne of artifact creatures in the format. With just one graveyard, no fetches, and the relative slowness of standard, I think delirium is only going to be active 1%-2% of the time. Maybe less.
I've heard some pros saying similar things on podcasts.
this is an insane argument. what is 1-2% of the time? what does that even mean? have you actually played the format yourself? have you played with these cards?
My arbitrary use of percentages aside, it's quite likely not an "insane" argument, since I got this perspective from Ali Aintrazi and Frank Lepore. It might not end up being right, but it's certainly a fair perspective.
why would you settle for this kind of gossip when you can actually play with these cards yourself?
EDIT: or, if you're too lazy, consult those of *us* who have played

After thinking about it and realizing that this is the Steam Augury mechanic and not the FoF mechanic, I'm prepared to guess that this won't be very good unless you're playing a serious graveyard strategy.
I was one of those people who forced Steam Augury because I loved the card, and lemme tell you, it really wasn't that great.
So because of a single card simply based on price you won't play a format? Just because the card is there doesn't mean you have to use it bro. U has plenty of other options as well.
Well I don't think this is right. Blue has Jace, and the other blue cards are there to put in your deck after your playset of Jace. The solution isn't to play an underpowered, uncompetitive blue deck because you don't have the card that matters in that colour - the solution is to play a deck with no blue in it.
With five loyalty to start with? And bouncing dudes? And a GG ultimate? Seems pretty good to me.
Let's just be clear about one thing: planeswalkers don't ultimate in competitive magic. Ever.
The ults are just flavour text to give you a mental image of what kind of crazy powers this person has. But those abilities aren't there to be used in serious games.
(obvious exceptions are small instant ultimates like gideon emblem or whatever)
Never easy to evaluate these things without seeing the meta, but that jace seems pretty bad.
Ugin's insight does the same thing 3 turns faster, and sees no play.
I mean, mayyyybe bouncing creatures turns out to be just insane this season, but as has been pointed out, Ob Nixilis Reignited is more or less the same/better, and sees very little play, and usually only as a singleton.
There's a fun modern deck with Narset Enlightened, Goryo's Vengeance and Relentless assault that just attacks over and over until you flip Enter the Infinite and then do, well, whatever you want - cast omniscience into Emrakul, or just pick your favourite silly card and jam it in. Once you get going you just win whatever way you want.
If Wizards is right, and these bannings will open up the modern metagame to more decks, the things that will get a lot better are not in this thread yet because they're things that aren't already staples of the metagame. Just look at the black eldrazi deck. No such animal existed before recently, no one saw it coming, and now it seems like it's half the meta on Modo.
You're projecting.

If the format is very slow it will be great, otherwise it will just be the King of Limited Bombs

the next creature card you cast costs G extra. draw a card
seems like it would be ok if chord wasn't already in modern

Obivously, it ain't no Dig Through Time, but is a nerfed Fact or Fiction good enough? Seems like, given how garbagey Jace, The Nerfed Ob Nixilis is, blue-based control isn't looking so hot so far.

As a sidenote - the design is amazingly boring.

If.
Maybe once the next set comes out!
