Well, to put that into perspective, I (who you call "shark") am 13. Does that make it morally more or less acceptable to "rip people off"? What if the other person was slightly younger (10-12)? Age should not be relevant!
Honestly, it boggles me that people are actually taking up this argument.
See now I understand why your views are so immature on the matter and well it's because you are a kid yourself. Trust me once you grow up you'll understand why it's so frustrating to see these things happen.
I'm not sure how I feel about Distortion Strike and Predator's Strike. They seem cute, but I can see how they're good against cards like Lingering Souls and other things that get in our way. Sometimes I think a Giant Growth would be better... It gives more damage, and opens up my mana. I guess the only way I'll find out is testing and how much evasion I need.
I considered splashing 2 red lands (most likely 2 Stomping Ground) because the idea of Ghor-Clan Rampager seems nice: an additional +4/+4 and Trample (emphasis added on the evasion) that can't be countered. I'm assuming the deck isn't too worried about UWR Midrange or UWR Control, and more on decks that pack things like Abrupt Decay, Path to Exile, and Liliana of the Veil. Red does add a few other cute cards like Flesh // Blood, Armed // Dangerous, and Assault Strobe. For now though I like the BUG-shell.
Also, I don't know how I feel about Ichorclaw Myr. If I start seeing more Lingering Souls, it may be worth consideration.
Distortion Strike is freaking great from what I've seen. the unblockable it gives you and the small amount of pump has won me a fair amount of games so far. As for Icorclaw Myr it works great with Rancor seeing as when it gets block it pumps itself up.
People who "disrupt" people making "unfair" trades are ridiculous. How would you feel if you were a electronics store, selling a TV, and I pointed out to a customer that he/she could get the same TV for significantly less online? You would feel pretty peeved, and rightfully so.
What you don't seem to understand is that this trade was a grown man taking advantage of a little kid. The kid had to be in middle school, at most a high school freshman. How would you feel if when you were young some guy did that to you?
So a few days ago I was at my local card shop and happened over hear a trade between one of the local players and a kid who is new to the game. The kid really wanted to make black devotion deck seeing as everyone in our meta has one and the other guy was willing to make a trade for his Gray Merchants and decided to silver tongue his way to getting that kids Shrine to Nyx. I decided to step in and stop the whole thing before the poor kid got ripped off.
It got me thinking about if anyone else sees this happening a lot, or hell if it has ever happened to them. What were trades that had you frowning over?
If I use a fetch land like Misty Rainforest and use it to bring out Breeding Pool do I still have to pay the two life in order to keep it untapped as in comes into play? Or is that only if I play it from my hand?
I see what you're saying. I never had high hopes for this idea to begin with except for maybe some casual modern matches, I just thought it was a neat idea that maybe someone could add more to it.
Oblivion ring is a good idea too I have no idea how I didn't think of it sooner thanks.
Idyllic Tutor to help get Wild Pair in my hand, Piper for easier casting, Harmonize for extra draw power, and Fog to help me prevent huge amounts of damage.
Tell me what you think! Anything else I should add or take out?
You are correct, Middletown isn't far from me at all; just a twenty-or so minute drive. Heck, for that matter, Dayton isn't too far from me either = forty or forty-five minute drive.
Yeah it's like the half way point between Cbus and cincy
Welcome to Salvation!
I reside in Hamilton, but I usually just tell people the Cincy area. Although, I have lived all around our great state = spent 5 years in Athens attending Ohio U and lived in few different places in the Cleveland area for 5 years after I graduated (Painesville, Mentor, Willoughby/Willowick).
Have fun!
One of my buddies I play with lives in middletown which is not to far from there if i'm not mistaken?
How ya guys think about it, it will not be running 8 fetches since i wont be running black, ranger's guile is there for more hex proofness against bolts and such.
I like it! Although i'm not a fan of the rangers guiles. I always saw the vines of vastwood to be enough.
When my buddy first saw skithiryx the blight dragon he always thought it said "Skittles the bright dragon" until he was told other wise. The catchphrase "taste rainbow" is still said whenever we see it played though.
How does it play? How often do you Mulligan? Are the nexus an absolute? Pendalhaven? Do you get creature swamped? Any tournament results?
Most wins are by about 3rd turn and I mulligan very rarely so far. I have not been creature swamped yet but I can see this deck getting pump swamped. Pendlehaven works very well to help me pump my creatures a little if I don't have any pumps left to dish out, most of the time leading to that last poison counter I need to win. I went 3-0 at a tournament at my local hobby shop with this.
No groundswell because I don't want to be stuck having to use it and not be able to drop a land first and No might of old krosa because I can't find anyone who has them. When I do get them I'll be replacing slaughterhorn with them
