Silver level Hareruya Pro Jason Chung has a 72% win rate over 100 matches with his build of the deck. The other day I saw a mirror match between Autumn and Sam Pardee (gold and platnimum level pros) testing his build for the next Modern GP.
Some interesting takeaways he boards out Bridge and Orb in almost all of his matchups to create dead cards. He even boards out Mesmeric Orb against control along with bridges and crabs and just extracts all their win conditions. Having played Manic Scribe you can't board out all your artifacts or you won't reach delirium regularly. The dead abrades/destructive revelry/ancient grudge/detention sphere/path/removal etc... was very relative when watching his matches.
He also streams at twitch/sqlut and has about 100 hours of content streaming mill in his videos starting from the very beginning when he thought Surgical triggered Trap to basically changing the deck to be his own with the results I stated above.
I assume the extra dismember is for delve threats since he isn't playing Leyline of the Void. I would miss Leyline too much against delve decks like Hollow One and Shadow. If you aren't playing against Gurmag Angler or Tasigur then I could see not having Leylines. I don't think I'm ready to cut them.
I've been testing the Bontu's a little bit and the no untap is definitely not free. Feels like a worse Damnation in almost all cases and if you need a T3 board wipe Flaying Tendrils/Drown of Sorrow should be good enough to get the job done. I could see Bontu's being better against a Thalia in play and that's about it. My experience with Bontu's has been they just replay their threats and then you time walk yourself and they get to swing again. I think I'd play either Yahenni's Expertise/Languish or a 2nd Damnation.
I've found myself always wanting to draw Bridge. It feels like the best card in the deck and I'm starting to wonder why I don't just jam 4 in the main. In a would you rather want Bridge or Crypt Incursion against:
Humans - Bridge, crypt incursion is also good but not game winning G1.
Bridgevine- if they run Gargadon bridge can keep them from killing you. If they have a slow start Crypt incursion can be great too. I guess Crypt Incursion?
Hollow One- Bridge by a mile
Tron- bridge
UW Control- Bridge, I guess? Neither are really good
Jeskai- Crypt Incursion
Affinity- Crypt Incursion
Infect- Bridge (not super good but can sometimes win, incursion is not a card)
Shadow- Bridge by a mile
Burn- Crypt Incursion by a mile
KCI- Crypt Incursion, but I don't think its very good (bridge isn't really a card)
Bogles- Bridge by a mile
Ponza- I think bridge? Crypt incursion was fine as well
Jund- Crypt Incursion post board, very similar g1
Abzan- see above
Feel free to think/add whatever decks I didn't or argue my comments but I feel like outside of burn/humans/infect/affinity I want bridge and the previous mentioned decks aren't super popular outside of humans. It just seems the Bridge matchups are being played more than the Crypt Incursion matchups.
Very exciting to see Caleb Durward actively try to tune Mill and saying it's one of his 4 best performing decks in the current meta game. Don't have time to post his full list but it's basically the Modern Challenge list by Buur except

If you're in a heavy humans meta then yea, it is a game winning play because all their artifact answers are ETB effects. It probably does decent work against spirits and a few other decks. Completely meta dependent in my opinion.
How did/do you board against Jund? I thought Blood Braid made Jund a favorite against us, whereas before the unbanning I felt like I could get the better of them.
I also think the printing of Teferi was huge for us because it all but planted Gideon of the Trials on the bench.
I think maybe Oath of Teferi should act as Doubling Season copies 5-8 to increase the consistency of the payoff cards. The worst feeling I've had with Doubling Season is never finding the card and having your planeswalkers stall the game just to tread water.
Hopefully one day wizards will make Deepglow Skate modern legal.
Samut is no good because you need walkers to win you games where you don't go Doubling Season -> Planeswalker (those are the games we already win). I've gone back and forth between a token/diversity of planeswalkers and the combo walkers (Tamiyo/Nahiri/JAoT). I saw Todd Stevens playing with new Jace (infinite 2/2 payoffs) and he felt awful in my opinion.
Hedron Crabbing yourself can get you to Set Adrift as early as turn 2/3. I think there are several other scenarios such as trying to get delirium for Manic Scribe where milling yourself 3 is worth the risk. You also want to Crab yourself if you are playing against dredge early in the game. Hedron Crab and Mesmeric Orb give you 8 cards which is a 65.4% chance of having one in your opening 7 and a >75% chance of having one by Turn 3.
Desolation Tower (a colorless land) is an enormous cost. UB can get away with 3 colorless land, maybe 4 if you play 22 lands. Most Esper lists only play 2 Field of Ruin and Field of Ruin replaces itself with a colored land eventually. So you'd have to ask if this card is better than Field of Ruin game 1 and the answer is no. That makes me think the card would be in the sideboard or not at all. Which then goes back to the argument above being Set Adrift has much more flexibility which is essential for modern sideboard slots.
On top of that... 3 drops are very clogged up. If you are running Ensnaring Bridge you can only run a couple 3 cmc spells in addition to bridge or else you never empty your hand in time (don't forget you are playing 4x Archive Traps). You also have high impact cards like Fraying Sanity and Crypt Incursion so you need to ask yourself if you'd rather have Psychic Corrosion than one of the above.
What mill really needs is another high impact 1 drop like Hedron Crab.

How has Cast Down been for you. Has the 2nd mana been annoying for you?
What mill really needs is another high impact 1 drop like Hedron Crab.
4x Mesmeric Orb
3x Ensnaring Bridge

Mill already owns Tron so the damping spheres are too narrow.
