Wow that is a great way to describe overseer. I have been continually cutting him but now I feel like I can bump the number up to three without feeling guilty
What happened to cause people to stop playing thoughtcast. I see a lot of decks shaving down the numbers and sometimes even cutting it completely (like turtenwalds list from worlds)
I gotta admit I am disappointed that the fetches are not being reprinted but what annoys me is that the KTK fetches are spiking now. These were fine because they were "replacements" and sometimes better for decks but they are going to be in the 15-30 dollar range soon.
On the brightside I traded for 3 tarns on tuesday, so I only have to get one more at this inflated price.
So I finally gave up on my brews and put fish on the backburner and shifted back to three formats of red. I feel like my list is pretty strong but I am still iffy on my manabase. Currently it is
11x Fetches
3x Sacred Foundry
1x Stomping Ground
1x Copperline Gorge (seriously try it out, much better than expected)
2x Mountain
Until this week I was running like 16 lands with 8 fetches (never checked after switching from mardu). I am wondering what peoples opinion is on the amount of skullcracks to have with junk on the decline. Currently I have 6 main with 0 in the sideboard and am considering cutting one for a second Stomping Ground. How often do people end up wanting to cast two green spells in the same turn because I feel like it never comes up g1 and rarely in game 2 also having that one extra burn spell can really make the difference.
However I might be a bit salty after losing two matches bricking on that last spell.
I have been playing Grixis Fae for about a few weeks now and it is quite fun, the real selling points for me are Lightning Bolt, Electrolyze, and Kolghans Command
All three of these cards allow the deck to be more reactive as well as have additional reach. The mana has been interesting, you switch over to a fetch shock base with 4 mutavault, it can certainly be challenging but most of the time it seems to work out fine.
I mean, it can work. It sounds more like a Esper Mentor splashing Green. I would look at an average Esper Mentor decklist and maybe cut some blade splicers or something like that, try to make it more midrangey. I feel like it could work however it would be a much more proactive gameplan than what most people are working on in this thread.
Seems like a respectable list, I really dislike Narset though. Narset really only feels good when tapping out on turn 4 with her which in modern is realllllyyyyy bad
I agree with you over everything except tasigur. Tasigur is an incredible source of card advantage on top of being a beater. I think Tasigur is a great card as a one of - mainboard or sideboard since once it gets online it really locks the game up on its own. It also manages to feed your own graveyard and rebuild for delve
The only problem I see with this list is that I does not seem to be that good against twin, all your win conditions are sorcery speed and you seem a bit light on removal/countermagic. I will admit this version seems incredibly strong against abzan/jund but the matchup is already so good do you really need it?
Besides that all the cards seem incredibly strong and the only card I am against is Sorin, it just doesn't seem to do much for you in any matchup.
I have run 2 copies of shoal alongside 4 vials for the last year and a half and have been VERY impressed by the card, the only matchups where I didn't like it were BGx and UWR control. But not running any vials and running shoals with more creatures is definitely stronger against abzan. I have learned that with running shoal you definitely have to have a strong intuition when using the card.
Psionic blast is there mainly for Liliana I think.
Can I see your list, been trying to put in a few shoals and was never sure what to shave

Which is being discussed here http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/the-game/modern/developing-competitive-modern/597811-sultai-control
