Thanks for the feedback! I don't mind cutting the trading posts, but I don't really have a choice right now because I don't have the other finishers. The canadian dollar is still doodoo right now, so it's a bit more pricey than I can afford and will still add up in the end :/
I guess Titan + Angel will be my next buys. I also thought o-stone was super crucial to the deck? More than TKS, at least?
edit: Oh wow, I forgot I actually have 2 chalices and 2 skites I can use from my other deck.
Another suggestion, although O-stone is really our go to card to reset the board, since most of the decks in my meta are aggro, i used to use Aetherize while trying to build the deck
I think Emrakul doesn't just hypnotize you but convert you into an Eldrazi as well so if you got hypnotized by both, you will slowly change to an Eldrazi and then Emrakul will be the one who will have complete control over you
I like the idea of using Imprisoned in the moon and Spontaneous mutation since they definitely help with our bad MU which is fast aggro although the mutation is a bit situational.
@Luthier86: I don't have any Snapcaster Mages so I can't say if they are better than Clique or Venser. I used to ran 2 Jace, Vryn's Prodigy in these 2 slots and also tried Thing in the Ice but wasn't really satisfied with that. Remanding your opponent's 2- or 3-Drop is just the best Time Walk. I haven't been very impressed by Venser either. He is a nice tempo creature, but in the games I had him out he got removed or felt like a winmore card. It's the same with Vendilion Clique. Spell Pierce seems to be a great idea. I think I will try them at the next tournament.
In Term's of Utility Lands: I thought about these cards too, but I was afraid that Gigadrowse becomes worse with Lands like Inkmoth Nexus. Is Inkmoth Nexus really that great?
@Blair Phoenix: You're right. There was an Elixir of Immortality missing in my Decklist.
Thanks for your advices for the Jund and Tokens MU.
I have 1 Inkmoth Nexus and I usually use it to counter infinite life gain. If the opponent do not have Slaughter Games then you can put the counters of Part the Waterveil to Inkmoth for a 2 turn clock
I agree with you that's why I'm trying the version without Ancestral Visions since if you get it mid to late game then mostly its useless. It would be great to get another warp spell in Kaladesh, I'll take it even if its 6cmc, I'll probably replace Walk the Aeons for it
The decklist I provided is what im using now but I used to have the 4 Ancestral Visions before, I took out 2 Howling Mine, 1 Walk the Aeons and 1 Jace, but they suggested that we need Jace so I tried this list.
Being able to cast Ancestral Visions T1 is great since I never experienced fizzling when it activates and usually what I do is just counter everything T2 and T3 and or make sure that I have Cryptic Command as back up. If the opponent taps out on their T3 and you have exhaustion then they will never have a turn again even without Dictate of Kruphix in play.
Thanks for the reply, I only have 4 Dictate of Kruphix as my mine effect so maybe I'll replace Jace with a Howling Mine. I also have 1 Inkmoth Nexus for the infinite life combo.
if i read your correctly you're only running 4 mine effects in your entire deck?
since im new to Time Walk i just copied one of the decks listed here with 4 ancestral visions and 4 dictates, currently im playtesting this one
Exactly "taking what's important" is the hard part. Usually, because the overall power level of 8Rack is so low, the first discard makes or breaks most games because it has such high impact on the course of the match.
I'm not saying that because 8Rack is centred around discarding it's the hardest to play. I agree the deck is not that difficult, however it's definitely not easy, too. I agree that when you get to the part of the game where stripping the size of the hand matters, not reducing it's quality, then it's simply a manner of who drew what and there are hardly any decisions involved. Getting there optimally, on the other hand, requires a lot of intensive decisionmaking and game knowledge.
I have the cards for the 3 types of tron, just an example based on experience, you can keep on having me discard my hand, even my tron pieces, but with so much tutors in GR tron I will definitely hit it t3 if im lucky, t4 or t5 as the usual, I will never run out of gas as well, Thought-Knot seer, Conduit of Ruin, World breaker, Ulamog, The Ceaseless Hunger and i haven't counted Karn yet.
I have the cards for UW tron as well and I've tried playing the deck as well, based on experience, UW tron has better early game than us, however, we have better interactions against mid range and control. Actually we have the same dilemma, since I have the pieces of UW, I really can't decide on what I will focus on.
I am playing 8Rack in Legacy and would love to play an 8rack in modern as well, given the new cards from Eldritch Moon, is there any chance that the modern 8rack will be playable?
I just recently heard of the Time Walk archetype and got interested with it, do you think it has the chance to climb up the ladders? I'm thinking that its bad MU's are the fast aggros and good MU's are mainly combo and control

I like Distended Minbender more, anyone playing mono g tron with Eldrazis? What do you think of tutoring Distended Mindbender using Conduit of Ruin? The only problem is the BB mana
