There is some precedent for them up shifting Future Sight cards. Aven Mindcensor was up shifted to rare in Amonkhet. This was a $10 uncommon at one point, now it's $.50. I'm aware that some of the decline is due to it seeing less play, but it could come back into favor, at which point I'll be happy that I picked up my playset for $2.00. I see this as another reprint for Modern in a non-Masters set that will bring down the price of the card. If it was a Masters set, I understand why people would be upset. I don't see the reason here.

There was a budget version posted last month on mtggoldfish that looks interesting:

I'd suggest a couple of changes, cutting the Myr Enforcers, upping the Frogmites to four and adding two Master of Etherium. Frogmites should usually be free while Enforcers will probably cost around three. If you're going to pay three might as well pay it for a lord that's bigger and buffs your team. I also like having a Welding Jar in my 60 and would shave a Thoughtcast to fit it in. Adakar Wastes is a better choice than Glacial Fortres. One point of damage is far less important than a land coming into play untapped. As far as the sideboard goes I know it's heavily meta dependent, but I'd suggest some number of Gut Shots and Erase. Stony Silence and Kataki are silver bullets against anything affinity, though admittedly Stony Silence is less effective against this build.

I wonder if they're going to skip enemy fetches in BFZ and maybe give us a full cycle of manlands. The five that are in print are getting pretty expensive and it would be great for them to complete that cycle. BFZ is going to sell well even if the fetches are nowhere in sight. They could then save them for the following block. This way, there will be five fetches the whole time BFZ is standard legal and support landfall if it is indeed a returning mechanic.

Just a question here, what is stopping them from putting the Zen fetches in FRF boosters, but with the DTK expansion symbol? They wouldn't be legal until DTK is legal, but would be legal in any set where they could be used (Modern, Legacy, etc.). They could also make them legal for draft. I didn't play during Zendikar, but isn't that how buried treasures worked?

I see that you have the Damnations, but if someone wants to make it budget I wonder if Mutilate could be an option. It makes Skittles a little less effective, but considering a playset is less than $5, it is much more budget than Damnation. Along those same lines a third Lashwrithe over the Sword could be just as effective. This deck doesn't seem to care about life total so 4 life to equip to an Inkmoth sounds pretty good.

    My options:

    - Reflecting Pool and Evolving Wilds/Terramorphic Expansion
    - The manlands cycle from Urza's Hammer (Urza's Legacy for those that remember what's what in Urza's block)

If Reflecting Pool is in standard, I'm pretty sure every mana base would start with 4x Reflecting Pool 4x Mana Confluence.

    Quote from InVinoVeritasXXX
Honestly, this is the best they can do as far as getting more TNNs into circulation goes, considering that the card is waaay too good for Standard and Modern. With the first Commander decks, they weren't worried, because Scooze was a safe bet for a Standard-legal reprint, but this time around, they released a format-warper and now they're trying to do something to mitigate TNN's eventual spike when the Commander decks aren't on the shelves anymore.

It might be better if they put TNN in Conspiracy. It's a multiplayer format and this is being highlighted as a multiplayer card.

I don't recall a Duel Decks or any supplementary sets that give out multiples of a card that has new art. Part of the scheming business strategy 101 by Wizards. You gotta buy 4 of these.

Weren't there two Putrefy in Izzet vs. Golgari with alternate art?

Could the second one be new art for Tainted Wood? Seems like something that could be in the upcoming Duel Deck. Don't know if it will get new art as Tainted Isle and Tainted Field didn't.
