Very nice, splashy mythic, reminds me a lot the Necropolis Regent (same mana cost, P/T, ravnican, race, splashy ability) another vampire I loved, seems a commander blast. Love that count also itself gladly, so at least even if immediately murdered it gives you a bit of value.
I love how Teysa schtick is still "I have absolutely no coherent face or hair art two print in a row" lol. Makes me wonder if it's Lazav daughter or just a face-plastic maniac.
Kaust: are you.... are you serious?! a 2 cmc commander that can cheat a morph cost?! Krosan Cloudscraper is gonna spike mega hard if that's not a reprint.
Oh wow, a vanilla 13/13 in a multiplayer 40 life format that can be blocked even against a 0/1 token, that die to Terror and has even a downside upkeep ability...if this is scary in your meta, you better not see my decks, you would literally sh*t yourself for what I blink with Aminatou.
I mean Kaust can be super-scary with the right cards (especially with Manifested cards), but yours is not an impressive example with nowadays standards. the Krosan thing gonna stay at 0.30 cents as usual, don't worry.
Well, I guess time will tell if all your speculations will be just a mess of mental whirlwinds or not (P.S: I remember you were the same guy that didn't believe that Battles would had planechanesque templates because you tought I were doing too much mental gymnastic on their official artworks and I were right in the end )
It also seems pretty odd to go in on someone for baseless speculation when just a few posts up you were baselessly speculating that the card would not only be a Nephilim
In fact I were baseless speculating and I never negated that, the fact I said "I dream" pretty much it's an admission of a wishful thnking than anything else. But he said that everything he says should be "obvious" to follow, while wasn't obvious at all for me, because I wasn't following his mental whirlwind of baseless speculation over another and tought he was saying other things.
Baseless? I was offering possible reasons for why they made a single 4 colour card that's not part of a cycle in the same set.
Baseless because it's not the first time WotC do stand-alone 4color cards in premiere or supplemental sets (Omnath, Atraxa, Aragorn, etc.) so yeah, seems pretty baseless to me.
Since what you were saying were baseless speculations over baseless speculations wasn't obvious at all, I get lost in your mental whirlwind, but now I get it what you were talking about, thanks.
What you mean the other 4? What mana cost should they have?
I thought it was obvious from the example but:
But that's not a connected cycle anymore, this a 5 mana cost cycle (completely arbitrary, who said we get this combinations in particular?), that 4 color one was already complete in every combination.
Also, MaRo teaser talks about only a card in with four different hybrid symbols in its mana cost, not 5 cards or a cycle of cards.
Color pie reasons. Red and green are the natural enemies of blue, so that's why they get specifically anti-blue effects like "can't be countered." Not every effect can go to every color or the color pie would be meaningless.
. Why is diabolic edict considered too strong of a card to reprint but Counterspell isn't.
Not a Standard player, but isn't Sheoldred's Edict legal in standard right now and strictly better than Diabolic Edict?
Why is Sign in Blood considered too strong of a card?
Uhm, since when? I never heard literally nobody saying this. They recently reprinted Diabolic Intent which is one of the best tutors of all times and any unconditional tutor is infinitely better to any random card draw, which black is king at.
I think your opinion (at least today) about blue is a bit too much biased.
I have a dream : a legendary Nephilim with "Partner with a Nephilim". A super-elegant way to solve finally the problem of Nephilim not being legendary but players wants to use them as commanders. Would just need a little tweak on the CR about the partner rules.
oh for peak sakes…… if those proliferate/phyrexian tribal decks weren't nasty enough in commander.
No, they aren't enough, thats why they are barely played. Poison decks are hilariously much more hated and overstimated than actually competitive and played in EDH.
