Gutterstorm posted a message on Barry's Land revisitedIt was recently said that they had figured out the colorless basic. I believe it was Dave Humphries at the last PAX. I think we can expect it sooner rather than later.Posted in: Commander (EDH) -

yearofglad posted a message on suspension field / creatures with +1/+1 countersIt doesn't matter what it's toughness is after it's been exiled - at that point, Suspension Field's enters-the-battlefield trigger has already resolved (that's how the Bears got exiled in the first place).Posted in: Magic Rulings Archives -

Life1ess posted a message on Any MST3K fans?"Breach hull - all die. Even had it underlined." for Child of Alara. You probably know this one since it's from MST3K the movie.Posted in: Commander (EDH)
I have seen every episode multiple times and just about every Rifftrax so it's hard to summon up too many quotes off the top of my head. I'll be back if more spring to mind.

Darksamus posted a message on Crazy Plays in EDH.This wasn't a crazy play but it was really funny.Posted in: Commander (EDH)
I have a friend that is a Vorthos at hearth. He has a cabal deck with braids at the helm and a lot of cards referencing the cabal(Deck isn't oppresive so we're cool with Braids being the commander)
We were playing 1v1, and I was using my riku deck. I get a possibility storm out but he manages to kill riku twice even with the storm out. He's in topdeck mode, draws a Cabal patriarch, casts it, possibility storm gies him Phage the untouchable, he screams triunfally and slams the card into the table. -

Mysticake posted a message on Shadowmoor Tournament Pack Original MSRP?I started playing around then, and tournament packs were somewhere around $12, about the same price as a theme deck.Posted in: Magic General -

Lord_Anarchy posted a message on Shadowmoor Tournament Pack Original MSRP?Shadowmoor was probably $11.97. MSRP on them usually just the price of 3 boosters, like you said. The older ones were like $9 back when boosters were $3.Posted in: Magic General -

Dilithium posted a message on Narset + cyclingNo. Cycling is an activated ability, not a means of casting the card; and even if it were, you can't pay alternative costs to cast spells that you cast "without paying their mana costs." Also, it's not in your hand, so you can't discard the Sandbar to pay the cycling cost.Posted in: Magic Rulings Archives -

Wildfire393 posted a message on Information about the Fate Reforged Prerelease and Ugin's Fate BoostersA reliable source provided the following information about the Fate Reforged Prerelease:Posted in: The Rumor Mill
- The mythic available in each clan's seeded booster is the mythic with the hybrid activation - Soulfire Grand Master in Jeskai, Brutal Hordechief in Mardu, Warden of the First Tree in Abzan, Torrent Elemental in Sultai, and Shaman of the Great Hunt in Temur.
- The Ugin's Fate Boosters contain 4 cards. One is a basic land from Fate Reforged. One is a Manifest Overlay Token. The other two are random cards from the set of 40 alternate-art Ugin's Fate cards, which can be from Khans of Tarkir or Fate Reforged
- On average, it appears 5 out of every 40 Ugin's Fate boosters will contain a rare (though none of these are Fetchlands)
- On average, it appears that 2 out of every 40 Ugin's Fate boosters will contain Ugin, the Spirit Dragon
If more information becomes available, it will be edited into this post. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

My wife is playing Trostani, Selesnya's Voice tokens, I have Vela the Night Clad Ninja's.
Because of my walker of secret ways early in the game, I knew she was holding a rout in hand.
Late in the game, I've got 9 life, she's almost at 100 and board state is far in her favor, populating 8/8 vigilant elementals from grove of the guardian and getting +2/+2 from tolsimir wolfblood
After chump blocking her attack, I'm left with only my commander and Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni and that's when I draw my saving grace...Silent-Blade Oni. With intimidate granted to old Ink-Eyes, I pass by the defenses and ninjutsu the silent blade into the end zone, pluck the rout, and cleanly wipe the board, with enough mana left over to bring Ink-Eyes back to the battlefield and pass the turn.
We had to call it a draw after that point (kids got up from naps). Rematch is pending...

I really hope this is a hint for a reprint.

Personally, I think KTK is heavily focused on mono-color and if it does happen to be wedge it will show more in the final large set, not KTK.

I haven't seen any other posts related to this so i thought we could just put it here for now. There are some photos of a conspiracy draft from GP Manchester.
echoing courage
power of fire
brimstone volley
hydra omnivore
explorer's scope
All these are coming back in CNS which was as yet unknown(I'm using mythic spoiler as the base of cards known). Anyone else able to make out some of these in the photos? There are a number of red cards in the final photo that are clear enough if you know what they are.
Also, I haven't found any leaks from the coverage there about what was drafted. Did anyone find anything else on the interweb about it?
