Okay, not fully sure if this is how it works but wouldn't Yarok and Panharmonicon go Infinite? Cause the way I see it is that you play a creature or artifact with an ETB effect, Panharmonicon goes off, then Yarok, and then it spirals out of control from their due to how they're wording.
No, only one permanent is entering the battlefield. Yarok and Pan will cause any etb trigger to activate two extra times. Example: Acidic Slime enters the battlefield with Yarok and Panharmonicon out already.
Slime's etb trigger triggers
Slime's etb trigger triggers a second time due to Panharmonicon
Slime's etb trigger triggers a third time due to Yarok
How do you know they are not letting someone else spoil the other 5? We still have what 3 days worth of spoilers?
If the other five were being reprinted as well there would have to be a space in the numbering for them. Since these five are grouped together, Temple of Malice and Temple of Plenty are both out, meaning the five allied ones are not going to appear here
Buy-a-Box does not count as a mythic for the set (it is denoted by the +1 next to the mythic count in the OP). Also, the BaB promo is a Shard Legend, not a wedge legend.
I saw a thread on here about this earlier....but I'm gonna say that I believe Tarmogoyf will be in this set.
It fits in the numbers crunch.
A mythic green card has not been spoiled yet.
It wouldn't reign supreme in the format....no evasion or quick abilities to pump besides surveil.
It would be a cool include in a set that seems to hit some nostalgia points with Leyline reprints.
The new boost to modern and increased availability to a very popular card.
I know the thread you're talking about. We can easily assume that there will be a Green Mythic with the naming convention Cavalier of... with a cost of 2GGG. That said, as I mentioned in the thread, it does not preclude Goyf from the set as the 16th mythic if we get one (which we should). As of yet, I'm not convinced enough of it to include it in the main post
EDIT: that thread has since been moved into Speculation, as there is not enough proof one way or another to make a determination
That would be kind of hilarious, but the number on the image was, what, 196 or so? So within the normal set.
Concerning "16 mythics", the one big difference would be that the 16th mythic in M19 was Bolas, and exceptional card both in that it was the only double-sided one and the only three-color one. And also Bolas.
The Goyf being #16 here would be kind of completely random.
Bolas was part of the five shard elder dragon cycle and the focal point of M19. The 6 random mythics were Resplendent Angel, Omniscience, Bone Dragon, Apex of Power, Scapesihft, and Crucible of Worlds.
There is the chance that, like in M19, of 16 mythics in the set
Unless this is the case, the recent spoiling of Cavalier of Dawn confirms the Cavalier cycle and the 15 mythic slots go to five Cavaliers, five Planeswalkers and five Wedgends. Therefore no Goyf.
I think it is likely. M19 and M20 have the same number of cards in it, which is also more than most sets (more than all three of the recent Ravnica sets, for instance). It was also stated that design for this set was based a lot on M19, hence why I feel that the rarity distribution will be same. That said, I'm not saying Goyf will be the 16th mythic, I'm just saying that there is a chance.
the main issue I see about being a fake is tied to what Maro said in his preview article: Cavalier of Flame being part of a Mythic cycle; add 5 wedge legend and 5 monocolor PW and the 15 mythic slot are completed. I don't see how Tarmo can be associated in a cycle to the Cavalier
There is the chance that, like in M19, of 16 mythics in the set
Serious doubts. If you have access to a higher resolution image, we might be able to tell more.
EDIT: While technically not Crunched out, there is only one spot it can be in. That said, given the image quality it is hard to determine whether it is fake or not. There are several ways to get rid of graveyards in Standard, mitigating it, and making it mythic means it's less likely to be an issue in limit. Still doubt, but there is some hope of it being real
Just saw that Golos says play and not cast. That definitely makes him better. Yeah, hitting a land with him would not be ideal, but it helps ensure you don't miss a land drop with him out.
So for Mythics, I wonder if we pretty much them even though it’s early.
15 mythics
5 Planeswalkers
5 legendary (wedge) creatures (not confirmed but I can see us getting this)
5 monocolored Mythic Rare cycle (I read Maros article and he said that Cavalier of Flames was part of a cycle)
I feel like I’m missing something. We can’t have a general idea of Mythic spoilers on day 1.....can we?
considering there is just 1 week of spoilers, why not?
If there is a cycle of mythic creatures, I hope the white one is an angel to go along with the cleric and the lifegain theme. I mean, we need some replacements for resplendent angel and Lyra when they rotate out
If a cycle, perhaps a Cavalier of... cycle, with each costing 2CCC, much like the Soul of or Titan cycles of Core Sets past. If so, that begs the question of what the other four (possibly five if they make an artifact one).
Activated abilities:
White - Gives creatures lifelink/first strike, maybe +0/+1
Blue - Gives creatures hexproof (too good?), and +1/-1 or -1/+1
Black - Gives menace/deathtouch (or both?), not sure about a buff though
Green - Gives trample and +1/+1
ETB:
White - Make a token or gives vigilance
Blue - Cast instant or sorcery from graveyard without paying mana cost, exile after
Black - Sac a creature, draw cards equal to CMC
Green - Target creature you control fights one you don't control
Dies:
White - Gain life equal to creatures on battlefield
Blue - Return up to X non land permanents to their controller's hand
Black - Each opponent sacrifices X permanents where X is the numbers of your creatures that died this turn
Green - Untap X lands
Now, these are rough ideas and likely not even remotely balanced (and I have no ideas for a possible artifact Cavalier), tried to base them off of the red Cavalier.
I'll likely be on both for a time, determining which would be better suit me. That said, I'd likely go to Nexus in the end to reduce the likelihood of this happening to me again
