Feb 3, 2014ProficientNomad posted a message on Launch Giveaway! My favorite card will forever be Woolly Thoctar. The first competitive deck I ever played was Naya Midrange in Shards/Zendikar standard, and sticking one of those guys turn 3 was a very good sign for the game to come, plus in my opinion he's the best vanilla creature ever printed. Slap a Behemoth Sledge on him and it was hard to lose.Posted in: Announcements

Yeah I feel really stupid for not remembering the Pax panel. Fingers crossed for some fetches in a few hours.
I would buy 'seizes right now. It's played in a lot of maindecks and sideboards in Modern and Legacy, and once packs of Theros aren't being opened anymore (due to it rotating out of Standard), I feel like it will definitely go up. It even went up when KtK was printed, due to it not being drafted anymore.
It makes sense if Dark Confidant isn't black's mythic or if it returns to rare.
I think that in the meta currently this is a mistake. I've found that Etched Champion usually just doesn't get there.
Do you mean like enemy manlands? Lands like Yavimaya Hollow? We know there's going to be a cycle, and I can't think of many true utility land cycles.
The filter lands hadn't even occured to me. I think that they will occupy the slots they want being taken up by rare lands, as well as being another big seller, due to their usefulness.
Yeah I see how my comment is probably erroneous. I agree with that point too, although I do understand why WotC might want to err on the side of caution.
I was just agreeing with you that it probably wouldn't be problematic in Modern.
It also seems worth noting that AV sees success in Legacy due to its pairing with Shardless Agent in Shardless BUG. I can't think of a competitively viable option in Modern that has that same effect.
