I just want the BW General to be more of a W aligned individual using B aligned means rather than the usual B aligned using W means characters we've been getting. It's strange that I can like Sorin and the Abzan but sometimes feel sickened by most of the Orzhov

Perhaps. But I wonder if the Spark provides some protection to the distortion aura around the eldrazi titans similar to how Sorin's spark protected him when nearing Ugin's Tomb in KTK

I thought it resembled the sea-gate but I could be seeing things. This destroys my past theory of Bolas showing up. To be honest Oath of the Gatewatch took me by surprise. It wasn't hat I was expecting t all. Th Characters appear to be swearing to some kind of magical promise and that intrigues me. I also find Kiora's absence....disturbing.

I really Like Gideon. I really like Captain America. Are they everyone's cup of tea? No, but that's why we have lots of Planeswalkers and lots of Avengers. I find it comforting that such characters care about the one, the individual.Yes, white often must care about the community as a whole and are not always interested in lone opinions/voices, they are however interested in peace and that means no one gets to pick on the little guy.
I am comforted by characters who, while the world is falling apart, takes the time to rescue the one. Kinda like the parable of the lost sheep in the Christian tradition. I understand that not everyone feels this way but I feel like this, my opinion is needed here as sometimes these traditional guys like Gideon and Cap'n get picked on a lot in the contemporary age. I want it understood that there is a substantive number of people do understand and love such heroes. If others prefer Iron Man, or Jace, Or Lili that's fine but there are sane peeps who like the Gideons and Cap'ns even if they sometimes appear cliche.

I was excited for this article, not so much for the story itself but because I suspect Doug's (perhaps soon to be) yearly Checking in on the Planeswalkers article will follow next Wednesday. Yaay!

I have enjoyed these last few UR which is surprising as both these characters are not my favorite. I agree we didnt get much in the way of new information, and I was very much expecting to get a hint as to the next bock after BFZ but...oh well. I was pleasantly surprised by Chandra's refusal of Gideon's plea for aide as it may make it all the more dramatic when she does appear in the second set of BFZ. However I am at the same time saddened as this almost proves Nahiri will not be in this block. So Far my guess as to PW
    Represented by PW Cards:
    Gideon 1st set
    Nissa, 1st set
    Kiora, 1st set
    Ob Nixilis, 2nd set
    Chandra, 2nd set

    Characters represented by other spells:
Ugin, Jace, maybe Sorin? (I dunno about Sorin as he's not supposed to come back w/o Nahiri)

Next story will be Lili's. I wonder how she'll take not recieving the help she wanted from Jace. My guess: Badly. Probably gonna prep for her next demon slaying project. We may even get a hint as to the block after BFZ! .....a man can dream right?

I really enjoyed this UR. I felt the story hit Blue's complicated love for Black and White really well. I also enjoyed the portrayal of Lili. I still don't like her but this article helped me see that she isn't about killing and transforming all she sees into a zombie horde. She's manipulative, careful, wants to feel like she holds all the cards. I think her debts to demons has caused her to have a hard time reaching out to others and asking for help, as if that would some how endanger her independence (already threatened by her contracts). It was a hard choice Jace made, but I do think he made the right one. I fear Lili is gonna hit rock bottom before any huge char. changes occur.

Tibalt died right? If not id love to see Tibalt, revenge seeker. granted if hes dead oh well, if not give tibalt to bolas and let him add some touches. tibalt deserves another try

    No Tibalt is not dead...
But mark my words, we'll see him soon as the powerful and scary Walker he is meant to be!

Let's move on from the Jace-hate topic. It is Irrelevant in that has already been expressed by the same Individuals over and over and a mind convinced against one's will is of the same opinion still.
I am excited for the next part of this UR storyline as it appears the Jace Article is next in line, right?

In this case i wouldn't mind pure intellect becoming the key to defeating the Eldrazy. Don't forget that the original trio imprisoned them by luring them into a trap and not just fighting face to face.

I agree, you don't have to like Jace to see that Eldrazi punching is not going to help Zendikar that much. Gideon is right to look for allies for as the story implies, there are limits to what just one Planeswalker can do.

I love Gideon but all I kept thinking while reading the story was "YOUR NO GOOD TO ANYBODY IF YOU GET YOURSELF KILLED BY BEING CLUMSY AND SLEEP-DEPRIVED!"
An idiot, but I respect him all the more for it. lol

Strange....I didn't see Sorin in the new, previously unseen pictures.
Which means he may still be looking for Nahiri and may not show up in the block or perhaps he'll show up in the second set of BFZ.
It's also interesting to see what the colours are so far released.
    Kiora or Jace- U
    Gideon- W
    Nissa- G
    Ugin?- X
    Ob- B

but who knows if all get a PW card...
