This card is a trap. It's okay but it's not nearly as good as many think. You cannot remove blockers with it unless you pay 2R or have another burn/removal spell to go with it. I wouldn't pay that much for a conditional Lava Spike.
This is going straight into my Melek, Izzet ParagonEDH deck. You can easily fish out two spells that will win you the game when you untap. Worst case scenario: you grab a sweeper and counterspell or something. This would be trash at Sorcery speed but it's amazing as an Instant.

Doom Whisperer is waaaaay above the normal power curve. It's a big, under-costed beater like Baneslayer Angel but it also generates value even if removed! BOMB.
Counting exiled cards is a huge upgrade for EDH. Adding the exile zone makes this work wonderfully with Dig Through Time, Mizzix's Mastery, and graveyard hate. Tacking on the cantrip is hugely relevant in EDH, too, because you can't expect your creatures will get to hang around for long. Well, at least at my table. I'm definitely giving this some run in my Izzet-themed Melek, Izzet Paragon deck.
I think this very conditional kill spell won't see much play in competitive Magic but it might be good for a SPELLZ Izzet deck in Limited. Think about how much play Spite of Mogis saw.. do a compare and contrast..
This guy is decent if you are ramping into dragons, I suppose...? Otherwise that's an easy and hard PASS. Compare the looting ability to Dack Fayden.. doesn't even compare well to Merfolk Looter.
I'm pretty hyped for this. Those are Delver stats. Chances are it doesn't come out turn one, but you're playing aggro so you should have plenty of early plays. A one drop into Push and this is a brutal opening. R/B Aggro comes to mind as a good home for this (with burn, removal, and aggressive creatures). Although I have been out of standard for a little while this card in that kind of deck might pull me back in. It makes it hard to play defense well. E.g. Either they block and trade with your one-drop and you get potentially get 2 3/2 flyers on turn 2 or they let you get more damage in. This could see some Modern play, in my opinion.

edit - love the Selective Memory combo, Lord_Mektar! Also works with Leveler!!!
