That seems awfully good. The sacrifice being mandatory is good; it means it is forced to sacrifice itself if it's the only creature on the battlefield when it resolves. I think having both flash and built-in unsummon is a bit much. It would be better for this card to work well with other cards that provide that.
    Timebomb Tome - 1U
    Instant - R
Draw 3 cards. Shuffle Timebomb Tome into your library. For the rest of the game, play with the top card of your library revealed.

If Timebomb Tome is revealed to all players while it is on top of your library, you lose the game.

Question: Could Mana Reflection and Gaea's Cradle play a role in a high damage total like this? I'm thinking, if you have Opalescence again so that Mana Reflection is a creature, and you can make a bazillion copies of Mana Reflection... Each Mana Reflection is a doubling effect and they do stack. Like, if you have Opalescence and 3 Mana Reflections, a Gaea's Cradle would already tap for 32 G. SO I guess you would start with Deedlit11's deck to incorporate the method of producing duplicate Dual Natures, but instead make the copies be Mana Reflection... and then end with a burn spell I guess. Not sure there is a more efficient way to deal damage with some ridiculously large value of X colorless.

I haven't put much thought into this, but I would be curious to see just how much mana could be produced using Mana Reflection + Gaea's Cradle.

It's generally true that artifacts have changed a lot since the early days when they used to be fairly simple objects: goblets, tablets, candelabras... In fact the term "artifact" used to be much more descriptive of what the card was: an ancient relic unearthed by archeologists at some point, with mysterious power. I'm not entirely sure when the change happened, but the card type now also references devices built in present-day of Magic that happen to be lifeless and inanimate.

Is Rustwing Falcon power-creep? I can't remember seeing a 1-drop flyer before that was bigger than 1/1.

EDIT: Okay, I've started the writeup again: I've written up the hyperstage section. The previous sections are now outdated; I'll get to them later.

This is a fascinating discussion. I thought I was doing pretty well with a deck that doubles the number of 1/1 tokens each turn and then plays 4 Coat of Arms, 4 Copy Artifact, and 4 Craterhoof Behemoths, for about 10^114 damage after 40 turns of doubling. The stuff above is insane, though. Does that end up being larger than Graham's Number?

Searched for a deck on this topic, this is the most recently-discussed one.

This deck can theoretically goldfish a turn-1 win, although you need a nearly perfect hand for it. 4 Dark Rituals plus a Mountain/Swamp and Lotus Petal (or plus a Simian Spirit Guide and a Swamp). Can also be done with 4x Rite of Flame without the Lotus Petal, and probably a few combinations of those and Seething Song, since Rite of Flame x4 is 11 red mana alone.

While that dream would be nice, it's probably better to plan for a turn 3-4 win and try and control the game the first couple turns. You don't need as much ramp this way (you also only need a storm count of 2, since Karrthus + Atarka is all it takes). Thoughtseize and Force of Will can help control the game, while Ponder/Brainstorm can help filter the cards in hand (Brainstorm also helps to put dragons from hand back into the library). Personal Tutor is an interesting choice for the deck as well, helping you to get Dragonstorm, or if you already have one, you can fish up a Seething Song. If you play 4x Dragonstorm, ramp cards, and 2x each of Karrthus and Atarka as your only dragons, you have a lot of room left for control cards.

I've had a lot of luck playing Priest of Titania lately. It gets a huge bonus from Deathrite Shaman being played all over the meta. Also, once you get a Glimpse chain going, making the Priest be the untap target of whatever Quirion Ranger or Wirewood Symbiote you eventually draw makes it easy to hard-cast Craterhoof off it.

This is actually a really interesting development and makes for some odd possibilities for the future of Gideon cards.

Look at the art for that weapon. Does that weapon look pure or does it look evil? And the most recent printing of a card with Blackblade in the name was a mono-black creature.

Calling it now, the next Gideon is gonna be WB, corrupted by his new weapon.

Lich's Mastery plus Platinum Emperion equals near hard-lock?

Yes, but this combo also prevents you from exploiting one of Lich's Mastery's best parts: drawing cards when you gain life.

Rules question: Can you still "lose life" when you are already at 0 life? If not, wouldn't that imply that getting to 0 life means no more discarding/saccing/exiling from life loss?

I suppose if you are playing a lot of cards like Gurmag Angler and Treasure Cruise, this is effectively only UU once you have 3UU plus another U or B available. Sort of.

Wow, it's like these two cards were made for each other
    Lich's Mastery + Immortal Coil
So you don't take damage and therefore never have to sac/discard/exile when you would take damage. And exiling cards from the graveyard is part of the effect and preventing damage isn't actually dependent on there being cards in the graveyard. And you don't lose from having no cards in the graveyard.
