Lorthos, the Tidemaker. I'd never need to ride a cruiseship again if I had a giant octopus as a means of transportation. Also, he could probably stop the whole oil spill going on right now with one tentacle.
And we would be national heroes...well, HE would at least.
Hm...maybe there's something I'm not thinking of, but you may want to go to legacy for cheap enchantment tutoring. Otherwise, you have Beseech the Queen for black, or transmuting Dizzy Spell in blue, which both cost 3. Maybe Infernal Tutor, but then you wouldn't need it if you'd reveal it from already having it in your hand.
That, or you can always pray before each game to help you draw it in the opening hand.
You could go caddyshack style and set up a dynamite system underground and take them all out at once.
In all seriousness though, it depends on what matters more: stopping the creatures who pose a threat in one way or another, or not stopping them because you feel sorry for them. Any animal lover would go with letting them live, but if they propose a serious problem to growing crops, you do what you have to do. I wouldn't hesitate, as they are not there for your affection; they're there for your crops.
On the one hand, though, if you just keep scaring them away, there's not necessarily a need to kill them. That is if you don't have a problem with constantly scaring them away.
1. They are pretty good cards. From what I hear, Gideon has appeared in a few big tournaments doing pretty well, right?
2. ALEKSI BRICLOT!! Great art, as always.
The good thing is that we'll have a counter that doesn't get either one or the other in terms of creature or noncreature. That makes me glad.
The bad news is that this means blue is making it's comeback after a long time of being just pretty good. In terms of whether or not this will completely bring Jund to a halt, I don't think that's the case. The rotation of Alara will, but not one more good counter.
The real question in my mind is...will they finally give it a new art? I'd love something other than the boring one they've used for years.
Yeah, a minimum of 2 Ranger of Eos. You've got all 1cc creatures except Geopede. If you do put in the rangers, might wanna also throw in 1-2 Goblin Bushwhacker for a solid Alpha Attack late game.
As well, Flagstones work great with your landfall guys. Also, are all of those spells really necessary? I'd take out the Rift Bolts since you already have Lightning Bolt. As well, Oust AND Path to Exile seems like too much. Just Path will be fine for you. And if you're going to keep Jittes in, I'd throw in a Kor Duelist or two, since that would be amazing synergy.
I wouldn't mind a reprint of Cloudpost. It'd be great to see them interact with the Eldrazi for an extended season or two.
But seriously, are people really worried about another locus being printed? A good 8 post deck hasn't appeared for months, and they aren't super competitive anyway. I kinda doubt that another locus land being printed would completely alter the format as we know it.
Maybe one more locus would be too much, but keeping just eight in extended would be perfectly balanced.
Personally, I always liked using Darksteel Colossus, but there are definitely better options. (Also, I already had a playset when M10 first came out, so I used them in a UW build, etc etc)
Either that, since he's cheap now, or Inkwell Leviathan would be best for some form of budget.
Because Meddling Mage on turn 2 outright shuts down Polymorph.
Because every UW control deck runs Meddling Mage, and no Polymorph deck runs Into the Roil, Essence Scatter, or Jace, the Mindsculptor.
Seriously though, Clone isn't necessarily a bad idea. I'm no control player, but I'd assume that the reason they don't run Clone is that UW control already knows how to deal with Polymorph: Negate, Cancel, Deprive, etc. etc.
Seriously, there needs to be at least SOMETHING in developing competitive for Koros. It's absolutely sick. As soon as I can get to some more tournaments, I'll be happy to provide any play-testing results or tourney reports, etc.
Huh...this is exactly the same type of ally deck I posted when Worldwake came out, and no one was receptive to it! Imagine that...
That being said, I understand what you're trying to make allies do, and I do think it is viable. However, you almost NEED to add in white. Case and point: Join the Ranks. This just gets silly when you have one or more Halimar Excavators on the field at once. Plus, blue and white go together for control like Red and Green go together for aggro. It'll open you up to having removal spells as well, such as oblivion ring, path to exile, etc.
Just my 2 cents from playtesting this to death already.
EDIT: So, ok, the art isn't...horrible. Certainly there have been worse, such as Browbeat or Tendrils of Agony.

Oh, by the way: http://magiccards.info I recommend using this.
