I can confirm that it's not any of Tolkien's elvish languages. I have gotten similar text messages from people who were drunk or trying to text by feel under the table. I think I can identify the script as "typonese". I won't even try to figure out a mistyped message in an unknown language.
Here's the plan: Send her a message that starts in English and degrades into gibberish. When she asks you what it means, suggest a trade. Or challenge her to a game of Magic for the true meaning to the message. Then bust out the thallid deck. Thallids never lose when it counts.

I'm agreeing with the text message theory. I just typed it into my phone, with predictive text on, and all of those words appeared, even though none of them are actual words. I'm guessing this girl's just sent a text while drunk or otherwise not paying attention, and this is what appeared. No idea what it's supposed to mean though...

You've both done more than me. 1,649 in two days. I'll pick up the pace over the next week. :p

There was a crackling - it seemed to be an international number from quite far away - a few rings, and then an American man's voice answered.

    "Er...hello?"

Officer Martin now sighed, and changed her tone of voice completely - it was no longer accusatory, but rather serious and urgent.

"We'll stop beating around the bush now. Have you had any visions of any sort, or has anything strange been happening that you've known of? Apart from the blast and everything, of course."

    James smiled.

"I'm glad it meets your journalistic approval. There's about twenty of us working on it."

    And NaNoWriMo is underway!

I'm 984 words and 1 chapter into my novel, after an hour or so of writing. A random sample from my first chapter (as I said, I have little creative writing skills and I'm not meticulously editing every line, so there may be a lot of terrible grammar).

The man who might be called the leader of the group – a tall man with a shaved head, who to others only looked about twenty-five years old – looked down at his watch as it beeped three o'clock, as if to compliment the chiming clock tower. If the bell chimes hadn't already convinced him that it was time to act, his watch – more familiar, modern technology – almost seemed to make up his mind for him. He took a torch out of the backpack he carried, and switched it on, only just illuminating his surroundings. It cast an eerie light on the faces of about ten other people – men and women, but mostly men – all about his age, and all with the same guilt deep in their stomachs with regards to what they were about to do.
    How's everyone else going?

"Oh, of course not. The structure is made of mostly steel, and stretches miles into the earth. It's built just on the outskirts of Victoria. We switch it on at 6 o'clock tonight."

    Just got 8k yesterday. Wink

"Not sure, I'm sorry. I think three of them, including George, might have been helping the other two get out in time...but like you know, it had already gone up in flames by the time we got there."

He ignored the first question, but got a sheet of paper out of his pocket and read it out.

"Effie Campisi. Wayne Landis. Joshua Ogburn. Estela Fast. And...George Seymour."

The first four were students who Josh wasn't on too familiar terms with, but had talked to a bit in the past. The last, of course, was Josh's friend George.

A few other people now turned to Jovana when they saw her bawling.

"What happened, love?" asked an elderly lady.

He still didn't really seem okay - he was gasping for breath and having difficulty speaking. He reached into his pocket with great difficulty, produced a small piece of paper, and thrust it at Cole, gasping all the while.

    "This...I need you to take...this."

"I see no reason why not."

He brought up a file on the laptop and studied it.

"We know of around five, all across the world...there may be many more, though."
