I mean what can i do to still playing RUG like i'm trying but with no Goyfs, actually, i was planning to use the scoozes for the job but with your exp. i guess it wont be viable.
Especially when you have the Blood Moon at the sb for g2 when you have only 1 green mana source because of the moon, i guess i get your point right here.
So I will just put this out there, I'm going to try in the upcoming months to do MTGO rather than cocktrice. But there is a problem. Since I'm an older zoo player, I own everything in paper, nottttt pixals. It's very likely its going to be a very very long time, unless I can borrow and or be given various zoo staples like fetch lands and shocks.
I'd also be covering a lot more budget stuff if I could get shocks/fetches, as I would be until I can grind out enough wins to get me goyfs. So thats actually kinda cool.
Again, being a part time student, part time free lance writer isn't a rich life so I cant get a lot of the even basic stuff right now. If anyone can help out, once I have a working, even if a little under powered, zoo I can do weekly videos or even live streams, and I'll me keeping a blog about how I got from 0 to tarmogoyf for others to try at.
@TakeYourShoesOff I run Scooze cuz i don't have any goyfs, so i run 5 islands and 3 Breeding Pool, that makes 5 green mana sources, and still the same numbers for the shakles.
The biggest problem, i guess, lies on the Blood Moon at the side, it makes scooze a weak choice from this point of wiew.
Alright, so I just wanted to bring back my list for discussion. I have been testing this list a lot, and it is doing extremely well. I am not 100% sure on every slot, and SB. What do you guys think?
Cards I kind of want to test:
Young Pyromancer
Huntmaster of the Fells (in SB)
More Pillar of Flames or Flame Slash
Less Izzet Charms
Main Deck Blood Moons
Less Shadow of Doubt in SB
How good is Electrolyze?
Woolly Thoctar is awesome when you can drop it in turn 2, since you're not running manadorks i think in your list Loxodon Smiter can run against discard and still being aggressive.
Since we don't play fetchlands (and my wallet thanks me for that right about now) I keep looking for something that would speed through excess land draws and keep coming back to him. The lifegain is a nice side effect and he's Anger / Bolt proof. I could see throwing 1-2 of them in but unsure what I'd take out for it at this point.
I'll take dcovino suggestion and ask if someone has tried Bow of Nylea at main deck, i'm running 1 and seems pretty good because of its choices, anyone?
Hello, all! I'm new to posting on the forum but have frequented these threads for a long time. I hope I don't commit any faux pas. I apologize in advance if I do. I'm recently married and my wife and I are moving to Colorado this year (I'm ecstatic!), and to help with the expenses I've been highly considering getting rid of my more valuable cards and just hanging on to one modern deck in addition to my EDH deck. I've always loved GW, and I feel that it's been given some great assets in the past few years. I'm really excited about it. I've been considering Bant and GWb, but I really like this whole Hatebear or Hatebearish thing.
I have a question, and hope it's not a silly one. I think it's viable or I wouldn't be asking it. Has anyone considered running 2x Lotus Cobra? I remember when Jund was running them to get those hasty dragons out, and it seemed pretty solid. Something about a 5-drop on turn 3 is very enticing. Of course with the fetches it would require you'd have to drop the Leonin Arbiters, and it would be a lot more aggro oriented. That would free you up for some KotR shenanigans, Flagstones of Trokair and Ghost Quarter nonsense, and the like. You could attach a sword to the cobra and swing with it turn three, or drop a Noble Hierarch T1, and a Cobra, then a fetchland, then a 3-drop all on T2. There's plenty of other fatties (Sigarda, Host of Herons, Thrun, the Last Troll, Linvala, Keeper of Silence, Wilt-Leaf Liege, Baneslayer Angel, Batterskull, etc.) that could come out with a quickness as well. I dunno, what do you think?
I also have to say that I like Dryad Militant, But that's partly because I have a soft spot for WLL, and I love to think about that 4/3 1-drop. I'd like to know what everyone thinks... Thanks in advance!
Oh, also, for what it's worth, I love the 1-of Rancor. Worship is really cool too. Gosselin's mainboard Gaddock Teeg and Time of Need are interesting.
Well, i don't think you'll get any advantage by running fetchlands in the list cuz you're going to lock your own game when you drop your Aven Mindcensor or your Leonin Arbiter.
Maybe you consider more manadorks.
Cheers!
Mindcensor only stops your opponent from searching, just fyi.

I was/am testing Rancor. It's much better than Nylea imo. I say this because it only costs 1 mana. You can use it to effectively bait their removal/counter magic. If they decide to counter you only tapped 1, and can then follow up with dropping a finisher or whatever you really wanted to resolve. The +2/+0 is relevant too, increasing the clock of anything I have coming in. I wouldn't even mind casting this on a mana dork turn 2 and swinging.
Nylea costs 4, and there is already a large number of cards that cost 4 fighting for a spot in this deck. It also doesn't come with a body unless you have devotion going, which is a real drag to tap out 4 for.
DOLZero, do you still testing it!? How many copies and what did you move out from the deck?!
What do you guys think about 1~2 Phyrexian Revoker at main deck, i mean atm in modern decks, it might stop POD and maybe slow down a little bit some fishes or something else.
I know the topic is for UB Fae but wanna ask you guys if someone think that MonoU Fae deck could be competitive or not.
What do you guys think?
Yea, my bad.

What to do in this case?!
I really appreciate your list.
I'm not a big fan of 4 Snapcaster Mage in Main Deck, maybe -1 Snapcaster Mage, and +1 Grim Lavamancer should be an option as long as you're running 8 Fetch Lands.
Anybody testing Scavenging Ooze?
Id suggest you to replace your Thalia, Guardian of Thraben for Scavenging Ooze, i'm with @Lantern, you have too much spells to run Thalia at MD.

Btw, results with Rancor in the deck?!
Cheers
Is it solid or a null slot?
