Please do keep us informed of your relationship doings. A. We love to gossip. B. Many gays consider straight couples to be adorable. Yes, there are those among us who are jaded and bitter, but a lot of the time the gays love playing matchmaker. We're like the cheerleaders for straight couples.
Speaking of, any girl who shares your geeky interests is a keeper. Especially when it's relatively obscure, like Batman TAS (which I also watched every day after school, thank you).
Awesome, sounds good! She's coming over for lunch tomorrow so I'll almost certainly have a story or two. It odd... I haven't been this giddy and butterfly-ish for a very long time.
Haha, not only does she share my interests but she's always saying how much she's always wanted a nerdy guy. I thought I was hearing things at first, but she was saying that she wants someone to cuddle and read with. I think it's the first time in my life that I've ever been speechless.
Oh, it's on! I will use my might ***** fuelled by the godly power of testosterone! All of my manliness will be utilized to fight for what is rightfully mine! There can be nothing that will hold me back from seizing my destiny and vanquishing all who stand between me and my desires!
... that sounds pretty epic, until you consider that Boo is adorable yet completely non-manly. Regardless, I stand by my words.
First, there are other ways to relieve stress. I mean your hands were already in a fist shape...
Falcooooon PUNCH! That's what you were talking about, right?
Awww *flutter*. This is cool keep me up to date ^_^. BTAS is a badass show.
Yup, it's pretty much the best show ever. It's what started my lifelong love for the Caped Crusader and still holds up even after 20 years. The writing on that show was fantastic... I'm glad Paul Dini is writing comics still! Some of his new stuff reminds me of a grown up version of ideas he started in the cartoon.
Who said I was giving it away? And trust me, honey, you don't have the currency I'm trading in!
If my memory serves me well, I think I still have an IOU to cash in...
And two can play the misquote game!
Quote from blue »
The more pain I'm in, the bigger it is. So regardless of how hard or soft, I'm going to be doubled over.
So I just had a really fun afternoon. There was a big neighbourhood meet and greet across the street from my house at the fire hall. I originally just went for the free sandwiches but ended up staying for a while and playing some street hockey. We had a little 4v4 game with the community vs. the firefighters. We had an amazing goalie who had the reflexes and flexibility of a cat, a great passer/playmaker and then my sniping ability and stellar defensive play. Needless to say, we kicked their ass and had a blast. Our goalie was incredible though... I have don't how old she is (somewhere between 18 and 22, methinks) but she looked like she'd been playing for years. I met some great people, got a little bit of a tan, and some free food. A great way to celebrate one of the sunniest days we've had this summer
Kraj, if there was a Pulitzer for "appliance delivery stories: non-fiction" you certainly would have it. Wow, I can't believe the struggle you had to go through but at least you have a shiny new fridge to "rotting food" from going bad!
My experiences with Sears and other big-ticket places have been pretty similar. That's why when I moved into my new house, I ended up dealing with a smaller company. My landlords (who are an awesome older couple who basically just rent houses as supplementary retirement income and give me an amazing deal) basically just told me to order a fridge and they'll reimburse me up to $1000. So I ended up going to a fridge/freezer specialist who offered me a fridge that had an older casing but every single component inside it was brand new for $800. Not only that but he said the first service to it (if needed) is free and every one after that would be less than $100 guaranteed for as long as he's in business (which is a joke, because he's owned the place for 45 years and he's a local legend). Additionally, his 2 sons delivered it that evening for free and he called me the next day and asked if I wanted a brand new panasonic microwave for $50 because he had no room to store it. I seriously lucked out, but it sucks that for every great guy like the one I dealt with, there's a dozen people like you that have to deal with incompetent calldesks.
EDIT: You spammy ****ers! I try to post one reply and all of the sudden there's like a post orgy happening right beneath me. You would!
I have a talking boo doll still in its original packaging if you wanna come get it (And also glad you found a girl you like :D...sorta)
DO WANT!!! I will send you my address and everything... so you can deliver it and I'll carefully examine your package. Oh wait, did I just say that?
Okay, seeing as I kind of want to talk about it but know nobody's interested, I'll put it in spoilers
Yeah, the girl I've been hanging out with lately is amazing in every way. She's super pretty, has a really unique sense of humour and the way she blushes when she laughs makes me want to make her mine. Not to mention that when she saw that I have every episode of Batman: The Animated Series on DVD, she immediately cancelled her plans for the evening and demanded that we start watching it. I'm pretty sure that's when I decided that she's perfect!
So we've hung out a few times now... watched a few movies, saw Toy Story together, I made her dinner (she brought dessert) and did some... erm... more suggestive things. So far we seem like we're really into each other and she never fails to impress me.
And now for the inevitable complications...
One of the problems is that I'm recently out of a serious relationship and I don't want to hurry into anything. With that said, after she kissed me I told her that I don't want to rush anything but she is definitely not just a rebound.
Another thing is that she's best friends with my roommate/good friend, Kelsey. I've already gotten the thumbs up from Kels but I really don't want to put her in the position of that awkward third wheel. I think in that way, it's best to wait and see what happens.
Lastly, I've got a lot more experience than she does. This shouldn't be a problem at all, but it can raise issues in the future. But we're really comfortable with each other so that's not a big deal.
Haha, to anyone who actually read this, I'll keep you posted on how things are going.
You really need to stop blaming alcohol for all your problems while drunk. It's not that tequila or jaeger does this to you it's that you're just a clumsy girl and don't have a ***** to help balance you out. Where your balance is is just emptiness. How can we trust someone with so much emptiness. And I do mean SO MUCH. :-P
Speaking of drinking and having a ***** (and I apologize in advance to anyone who thought this was going to turn into an awesome story) but the other day, my bro and I were discussing how great it is to pee standing up, solely because it takes way less effort when you're drunk and you can do it anywhere. I can't imagine having to sit down/frantically search for a bathroom if I was wasted. Ah yes, it's great to be a boy.
Haha pigeons, ******'s....almost the same thing right lol
Both are found abundantly in the while, but only a few bother to maintain themselves. I see no difference.
No **** sherlock Didn't you see her profile pic before. Okay I must admit most of the guys are as feminine as here so I can't blame you for that though.
HA! Caught Kraj's ninja edit. for me?
Say what would you guys do about a really good girl friend that likes you a lot. But you can't tell her you are gay cause that would rip her image of you apart and you don't want to lose her.
Talk about your thoughts on gays first, then move on to the mandatory "I've been giving it some thought." Finally, after gauging her reaction then you can tell her the truth. Not only does this ease her into the fact that you're gay but it also lets her fill in some of the blanks for herself.
Haha, this is one of the cuter comments I'll read today.
Speaking of cuteness, last night I watched Monster's Inc. with the awesome girl I saw Toy Story with and we both wanted to kidnap Boo and make her ours. So. Effing. Adorable. But since I'm talking about liking girls, I'll just leave it at that
Well, I'm Partner B in the analogy, he's Partner A, ie, the one in control of reconciliation.
Ah, very sorry about the mixup. A lot of what I said still rings true though... I wish you the best of luck. I'm also fresh out of a relationship and I know no amount of rationalizing or thinking can help you feel much better about it.
Trenton do you have MWS? If not *whipcrack* get it. I need to play more
Nope, no MWS and I haven't followed Magic closely since Shards! In fact, I don't even know some of the new rules... I hear there's some new rules about control of tokens and such? Not to mention that there's no stack damage or somethingrather? Sorry blue, I don't think I'm your best mate for MWSing!
Bi on the gay side? No problem we have several straights on the gay side too hehe (poke poke)
What are you implying?
And nice work on the cashew! I thought it would take a while for someone to guess it. Then MandersHex gets two in a row! The current one is a bit trickier.
There aren't many more class acts in the NHL than Scotty Niedermayer, so I see no reason why you would punch him unprovoked simply because of his style of play.
This. He's been a respectful teammate, an amazing player, and an unrivalled leader. He can't help who he wins the cup with...
In other news, Montreal re-upped forward Tomas Plekanec to a 6 year, 30 million dollar deal
Whoa, that's a pretty huge contract! Plekanec is a great player and Montreal fans love him, but I can't help but think that's a long, expensive contract for a player who still has a lot to prove.
A lot of big news today! The first one is that Scotty Niedermayer is retiring.
Wow. Definitely one of the league's best defensemen with probably the most success of any player at all levels. Seriously, 4 cups, 2 olympic golds, a memorial cup and a bunch of other international medals. The guy was a Canadian hero and it'll be sad to see him go. Team Canada wouldn't have won without him. And the Ducks are now officially ****ed on defense.
Next up, it looks like Nabby won't be a shark next year. I'm thinking this is just to save cap room to re-sign Marleau but it's still going to be odd to see a Nabokov-less Sharks team. He'll be a big free agent for sure.
Finally, Nathan Horton was shipped to the Bruins. We all know both teams are in need of some major changes but I honestly thought Horton was one of the players Florida was going to rebuild around. He and Weiss are both talented players.
I thought so. Still do. But I don't believe that it's likely we'd reconcile after a 'break'. You know that part in a movie where Partner A realizes they made a mistake and races off to stop Partner B from doing something silly like move to London or whatever and you worry that Partner A won't get there in time but then they do, just in the nick of time and everything ends happily? Yeah, that ☺☺☺☺ never happens. On the offchance that Partner A even admits to making a mistake, they never get off their ass and take that bold step and Partner B always slips away.
I think the difference between your movie scenario is that your "partner B" is making a change to their external surroundings. In your real scenario, he's undergoing internal changes. While he is indeed having a lot of external influences forcing him to become confused/stressed/upset, the reason he broke up with you is because the demands on him have grown to more than he can bear. Also, he's not really doing "something silly," he's just not handling the stress well... perhaps if you can give him some support or space (whichever he prefers) then you can leave the possibility of getting back together open when he's in an emotionally better place?
In honor of her, a post about me: I got dumped today. Via text message. After a month of literally not seeing my boyfriend once (we both work 50-60 hours a week). He said he needs time to sort out the bad things going on with his family and one less person he feels guilty about would be better for him.
Bah, that's rough dude. I'm sorry to hear that you were treated that way and I second the call for some jager. Right now it feels like he's got some guilt issues that he needs to sort out and a dump via text seems very impulsive. Perhaps he's acting without thinking properly and there's still a relationship to salvage in there. That is, if you're wanting that kind of thing. If not, I wish you a speedy (and slightly drunken) recovery.
EDIT: After reading your post, it seems like there's nothing wrong with you or your relationship and it is indeed about an overload on him. Do you think you have a future together if you can help him through these tough times?
Whoa, I totally missed all of those cards! Here's what I got:
Well if your stance would be that the theory is bunk what would your superhero name be? And, lol, that'd be an annoying ending btw "As I sit here with my head hanging lowly in my hands, barely hovering above the surface of the newspaper, I look back on recent events. My life was boring and uneventful up to this point. Through all the innocent troubles at university my life was small, pointless. In all the moral dilemmas I faced as an engineer, building where I was told, even if it meant demolishing a nature preserve I never felt any bigger than the most plebian of roaches. But now, I have the opportunity to destroy an imaginary evil. Now I AM the point at the beginning of an array. What I decide at this juncture will set in motion a chain of events that may never be shaken. The foundation of my struggle has been the disillusionment of a naive society. But, an illusion only has power so long as people are willing to believe it; am I the mirror breaker? I am the one who has seen beyond the looking glass to the true roots of mortal evil. I've led the way into a chaotic existence, but who will lead the way out again? Who will pay for my hubris? I will. Forever shall my fallen ideal be concealed beneath the illusionary mask which I so dilligently fought to deny reality. I will take up that mantle I fought so hard to eradicate. I will venture forth in epic proportions to scour the earth of filth that I help to create. I will unmake the purest evils only to reshape them through my delusions of grandeur. Because....if I don't? What if I don't? What then? Who will pay for my humility . So now I hover above pointless news, but soon I rise in futile heroics. I am the contradiction."
Did I miss any? And nice work on the picture snipe! You've always got nuts on your brain, don't you?
