I used to have Kessig Prowler in. I took it out to focus green more on ramp, but this is exactly the kind of card I've been hoping for for a long time. I'm strongly considering putting Kessig Prowler, Pelt Collector, Warden of the First Tree, Experiment One and Hexdrinker back in.

When you all build green aggro decks, what do they usually look like? Do you still run elves in the same deck, or do they get pushed out by the 1-drop aggro cards?

Yeah this card is definitely making me rethink my current categorization of hybrids.

This is the Llanowar Elves you want:

    [old frame foil promo]

This is the one I use as well, and I love it.

I've had the same issue (noticeably inconsistent size) with Ultra Pro sleeves before, although I believe it was a different line than Eclipse.

For those complaining about the quality of KMC, there was a response posted earlier in the thread. KMC claims this was the results of knock-offs being sold as authentic KMCs on Amazon by 3rd party sellers. I have no idea whether this is true or not. I purchased my KMC sleeves around the time that complaints began popping up and mine have been great so far. (My cube is still in the original sleeves after several years and we've only lost a few to splitting, but my group doesn't get together as often as some do.)

will there be more waves for sale on the hasbro page ?
There have not been in previous years. I wouldn't expect any more to go up.

According to Reddit there was a second wave one year. People tried to order several for themselves in a row, violating the one per household rule. Hasbro cancelled those orders and put the resulting stock back up for sale a bit later. I don't think that happened this time, and even if it did I'm not sure there'd be any publicity about it so it would be tough to know when to check.

There is someone further back in the thread who claimed to have his entire cube in toploaders.

I double sleeve, and I agree with wtwlf, I wouldn't go any farther than perfect hards. As much as I love cube, if someone asked me to play and then opened their cube box and everything was in toploaders, I'd probably suggest playing a different game instead. It just sounds onerous.

What does Hasbro's online shop consider a new sales day? In other words, if they are for sale on 8/13, is that at midnight PST? Midnight EST? Something else?

Yeah I'm glad I got my CE duals for my cube when I did. I missed the boat on getting CE power as an optional module.

If it really was speculation driven I would expect those prices to come down slowly, but as always it's impossible to tell for sure. Right now it's too rich for my blood anyway.

I like the "Time of Ice" as the name. I think it has more of a high fantasy ring to it than calling something an Ice Age, which seems a little bit more like modern terminology.

They are crushing it with these saga arts.

I have 75chan and Salmo (who is dropping).

Sparki/Aspen, if you do want to participate, please get me info today so that I can get things going. Otherwise we just have to roll without you so that I'm not holding things up any further.

    Hi all,

I owe you all an apology. I committed to do this, and then both my own grades for my middle school classes were due this week, as well as two big projects for grad school. I didn't manage my time well and I'm sorry.

FuneralofGod - if you sent pairings out or are in the middle of doing so, go ahead. If not and you'd like me to resume, let me know. I'll PM you.

Thanks everybody for your patience, and again I apologize.

The more the merrier! You guys both have established a presence in the cube forum. That guideline is really just to keep completely unknown people from creating an account and leeching off the exchange without holding up their end of the bargain.

FAQ (Shamelessly stolen from Juju's threads in the spirit of, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it.")

    1. What's a Secret Santa?

A Secret Santa is where where the people who sign up give gifts anonymously to other members of the group. Each person who signs up will be given a random person to send a gift to, and will receive a gift from a random person in return. It's a nice way for everyone to get a gift, without having to spend lots of money.

    2. Is this for me?

If you're a member of this esteemed Cube Forum, and you have a desire to connect with the community by giving (and receiving!) gifts, then this could very well be for you. We have had some issues in the past with people not sending gifts etc. so while we do not wish to be exclusionary, we do expect you to meet some criteria. Ideally, you are an active poster within the cube forum, and you have a cube, or are building a cube yourself. I reserve the right to deny entry into the Secret Santa if you are a very new member (i.e. no posts, or no posts in the cube forum). Please don't be offended!

    3. Is this expensive? How do I know what to get?

Slow down there! That's two questions! We have found that a gift of around $15 in value (or more) is reasonable, as that can really make someone's day with a cube staple or two. Be as generous as you like, however! Everybody's budget is a little bit different, so don't feel bad if $15 is all you can muster. The most important thing is just the fun of giving and receiving some cube goodies.
As for the question of what to get, I will be asking people who sign up to send me a wishlist of cards that they want. Please make your wishlist as big as you can possibly make it, to give your Santa more options!

    4. Do I have to give cards?

Nope! You can get as creative as you like. If you've signed up, at your request, I can potentially ask your recipient if they would like something that isn't on their wishlist. For example, I usually ask if they would be happy to receive altered cards. (However, please understand that most people are looking for cards. If your partner has specifically requested cards, please honor that.)

    5. Hot Damn, how do I sign up?

    Follow these steps:

    1. Reply in this thread with your intention to sign up.
    2. Private Message me (DSF) with your postal details and your wishlist. Please give as much information as you can in order to make it easy on your Santa. Feel free to link to wishlists or collections on other sites.
    3. I will then get back to you when signups close with your recipient's details. (Sign-ups will close December 1st so I can have partners made by Sunday, December 3rd and people can have some time to shop.)

    6. How soon should I mail my gift?

As soon as you can! You don't want your gift to arrive late, so get on it! Remember that holiday shipping can take some time, and international shipping even a little bit more time.

    7. What do I do when I receive my gift?

Post a picture of it up here in this thread, and don't forget to say thanks! It's great to see the gifts that get sent each year.

    8. Could I be asked to send to someone in another country?

It's possible, and we want to have this activity open to everyone on the forum. In order for someone in Ireland or Korea or Dominaria to participate, we need to have people willing to send around the multiverse. If sending internationally is completely out of your budget and you feel strongly that you are not comfortable with that possibility, contact me via PM. However, if you're willing to ship one or two singles without tracking, an international stamp is only #1.15 in the US.
