Ultimately sorcery-speed, non-flyer, non-player is just too many restrictions. I think it's close to viability in big cubes but there are just plenty of better options for small and medium lists.
My parents always roast a beef tenderloin for Christmas dinner and I'm usually heavily involved in the prep for that.
Tim_T don't worry, yours is on the way. You were in the same boat as a couple other people who had to wait on alters which can take some time.
Edit: And here's what I got from my santa:
Upgraded my 4th edition Animate Dead to BB (and foil!) and got some other sweet stuff to push into new archetypes that haven't been supported in my cube before.
It's not super high-falutin' stuff, but I always loved The Time Team stories in 3-2-1 Contact magazine.
As far as the card, I agree with the idea that it's below the rest of the Nine in power. In an unpowered cube, is it much different than Wheel of Fortune? (Serious question, I haven't played with it before.)
You're actually missing the old frame promo (Ice Age art) in the list of versions. It's my favorite outside of ABU, which I tend not to run because of the unnecessarily weird artifact terminology that can confuse newer players.
I do run Icy for now, partly for nostalgia and partly because my list is a little lower power. It probably won't stick around forever.
Wave 2 is up and running! At this point all partners are final and signups are really, totally, truly closed. If you have any issues or questions let me know.
I love Dualcaster Mage, but my experience has been similar. When you're sitting there with it in your hand, it doesn't quite live up to what you thought it was going to be.
It's still in my cube because I prioritize cards that have a chance at a really fun/interesting interaction over generic goodstuff, but it's on the watch list.
Reiterate is my favorite spell-copying effect. Ahhh, Time Spiral block.
I don't own Celestial Colonnade, but it's on The List.
I'm pretty sure the tallest building I've been to the top of is the observation deck of Baltimore's World Trade Center. It's not that tall of a building though all things considered.
In fact, I would imagine I've actually been higher and been indoors, but that's technically the only tall building where I've been to the top floor.
Pumpkin pie, not close. Windmill slam first pick. Has to be fairly firm though. Loose pies are just gross.

It does weird me out a bit that we've only seen one picture so far...
Once I get my hands on a Gearhulk, which may not be any time soon, I'm going to give it a whirl at 450.

Favorite Bounce: Venser, Shaper Savant
Favorite Draw: Compulsive Research
Favorite Tapper: Guardian of Tazeem (In its Limited format.)
