That is NOT what the Scepter does.
You may generate a copy of the Imprinted Instant card in the RFG zone (the same zone as a Imprinted card).
If you do, you may play that card (w/o paying its mana cost)
I meant that yes, I said copy of a spell, should have been copy of the imprinted card.
Standstill is a triggered ability and CAN be played.
Split Second is immediately in effect when Krosan Grip is put on the stack.
Standstill would have triggered during (not sure) the playing of Krosan Grip and thus its ability is put on the stack after Krosan Grip. Since it's neither a spell, nor an activated ability, you may sacrifice Standstill. If you do, draw the cards.
Krosan Grip will then be countered due to no targets.
For 2 In this case he said it was declared as a blocker, and thus its ability would trigger.
If your opponent would Shock in on the right time, right after you animated it, then idd you don't gain control of it.
Agreed on Suspend, no one can clearly say how it works without more explanation from MTG.com itself, so we can't say anything about that.
However the wording of Teferi is VERY clear.
You can play your spells only any time you could play a sorcery.
When can you play sorceries ? Only on your turn during your main phase when the stack is empty and you have priority.
Let's say you have an Isochron Scepter with Shock imprinted. You can play the activated ability which puts an copy of a spell on the stack when it resolves. There's a problem there. You DO play the copy and Teferi forbids you to do that if you do that on any other time than when you could play a sorcery. (MR FAQ:* You can't play the copy if an effect prevents you from playing instants or from playing that particular instant.)
Also the Eye wouldn't trigger on it even if you could, since it triggers on cards being played, and Isochron makes copies.
In other words : I don't know about cards that could break this but Teferi and Eye seems to work nicely together.
Maybe another interesting issue : One player controls Teferi, the other one controls Vedalken Orrery. I think it depends when they came into play. Anyone ?
In other words, you can't avoid the game loss, however, you can try to find the card and then win twice from your opponent.
Perhaps your opponent took it with him, happens a lot.
You couldn't play a card removed with Aerial Cavern during your opponent's turn right ? (Unless it's an instant)
It only says you may play it, it doesn't change the timing ..
Ok, assuming you remove an instant, then indeed you still cannot play it. Can't wins over can as you said yourself.
A lot of coin flips ?? How is that possible.
Are there 6 or so people with the same score then ? in all 3 tiebreakers ?
(technically the points itself are a tiebreaker too, MatchWin%)
Only when DCI Reporter give them the same tiebreakers should you use the coin flip method, and plz use a die, waaaay easier.
It has happened before on our local drafts (8 players) that two players end up with the same tiebreaker .. we agree on a die roll.
I thought you couldn't choose which ones you play with Eye of the Storm ??
When you play an instant or sorcery, it removes it and then you copy ALL instants and sorceries removed with the eye. However you MAY choose to pay for some of them and choose to play some of them without paying the mana costs. you could pay the total cost for a Fireball for X not to be 0.
For not allowed to say a lot, you said enough, thanx.
Another question : When you take the written test, what score do you need to have to pass ?
It used to be 70%, but I can't find it anymore ont he DCI site.
I didn't know about the L2 trainer, thanx for the hint.
I live in Belgium and the closest L3 judges are either from Germany or the Netherlands, so it would be handy if there was a L2 trainer.
It's also nice to find practice exams.
Edit: Tried a practice exam, 12 out of 12.
Are these practice exams the same as the real ones ? Do you also get multiple-choice and trick answers ?
Also are they the same difficulty ?
How many questions ?
If judges are allowed to answer these questions, please do
Edit2: Apparently there is a L3 judge in Belgium, recently. Thanks for giving the link to dciexam. was very helpful
What do you mean ? Sure you can't make it official but you can have a shot at it. I mean you know the correct wording for sure.
The first part says 'Rather than play ...' So you don't play it, you remove it. I think that is indeed an ability.
The last part says 'play it without paying mana costs', there you play the spell. So I'd say that one counts for storm as you think.
When the previews start the next days we know more.
Thrumming Stone in play, play Eternal Dominion (example)
You pay the mana costs for Eternal Dominion and you put it on the stack.
Thrumming stone makes Ripple 4 on Eternal Dominion trigger.
Ripple 4 trigger resolves :
You reveal 4 cards and find an Eternal Dominion.
You play that card without paying mana cost and put it on the stack.
Thrumming stone makes Ripple 4 on Eternal Dominion trigger.
Ripple 4 trigger resolves :
You reveal 4 cards but DON'T find an Eternal Dominion
First object on the stack now is the 'free' Eternal Dominion from you library.
You let it resolve, now Epic is active meaning you can't PLAY spells.
Luckily for you, there is already a spell on the stack which you are free to resolve.
Another Eternal Dominion.
Now you have 2 Eternal Dominion triggers every turn.
That's my way of thinking. According to me and my last check of the rules playing spells is just putting them on the stack. That's not allowed with Epic. It doesn't say anything about resolving.
I have spent tons of hours reading these forums. I consider this website my primary source for spoilers, cube discussions and deck primers. Very sad to see it come to an end. Thanks for everything!

For all other answers I agree with MadWarper.
