i absolutely agree with his assessment, i think his version is almost right, i do think that invoke the firemind should be a 2 of in this deck, as it can get rid of their big creatures, or draw you enough cards to find the answers. i don't really like the induce paranoia, i think that repeal would be a much better card in most situations.
that is why invoke was only a 2 of, i did want to add meloku, just in case of extraction or something, but i do like the idea of tidings, and maybe quicken should go in.
i agree with mexijew, this should be stickied, it beats a lot of decks, except i have played the matchup against Gifts and it is very hard to win, but it should be stickied. it beats the crap out of that stupid fungus fires deck, and that got stickied.
ok, the fact is that this deck is going to be very sub-par after guildpact is legal, even though it was sub-par before. i playtested it when you suggested it and it lost a lot, it did beat R/w a lot, and we thought that that was gonna be the most played deck at stated. it was, but this deck was quite horrid against any sort of control. it is gonna get worse against aggro, and i really don't think this will be viable at all, even though i didn't think it was viable in the first place. i do have to agree that sunforger is a horrible card for t2. i have never wanted to use it except in limited. i don't think this deck discussion should be on the competetive side anymore or it should at least be moved when guildpact is legal. @IBTG i do remember when a former member named Apos was on here and you and him were arguing, you said that decks shouldn't be on the competetive side if they haven't shown results and you pointed out that most that he said were bad had top 8's, but earlier you said that this hasn't shown results or top 8ed much at all, i know you have done a lot of testing with this, and that you aparently love this deck, but it hasn't shown results, and until it does i refuse to believe that this is a competetive deck.
ok, so someone post a list about what they think, i just wanted to play a cool deck with Nivvy, i know he isn't ever gonna stay around long enough to win, but don't get me wrong i want it to be competetive as well, so 3 keiga, 2 meloku. no sigs, but 4 char, i do like the hunted phantasm, and the leyline as it helps against other token decks such as gazi-glare and others. so do i have everything up there or was there something else that isn't quite right?
ok, i didn't put this on the competetive side because i haven't done any testing except against the U/B control and this wins more times than not. it was 6-2 vs it so i think this deck is really viable.
ok, first you will ask why jushi isn't in here, it is just to slow, i don't really need it. the leyline is amazing with hunted creatures, and i almost put hunted dragon in here and i still might, i am not sure of the sideboard, but it helps against a lot of different decks. so give me some feedback, and let me know what you guys think, and maybe after some testing and tweaking we can get this on the competetive side, as i am not quite sure this is completely competetive against every deck. i know it will do well against a lot already, just the way it looks, but i want to test it against a lot of the teir 1 decks out there before i make my decision.
ok, i was only saying so because i am gonna play it one more time before i quit, so i know no one plays it anymore, that is why i wanted to try it again. i'm not trying to be a jerk or anything. oh wells.
i don't think i like that these got merged, old gifts and greater gifts are a lot different, and when i want to talk about the old version, with which i have no problem beating greater gifts, others will just start talking about the other one. it will get quite annoying.
i don't like the paladin maindeck, i would put in savannah lions, a 2/1 for W is pretty good. i would prolly add another isamaru to the deck, just so i could get a turn 1 play pretty much every game. i do like the thought though, what about in the board? i don't think that the naturalize needs to be in the main, maybe some skynight legionare or something that flies.
i do like the white, it works really well. you were right though, i did fall in love with CaD. at the team constructed events in the upcoming season, one of the members of my team will prolly be playing a deck similar to this. it is pretty darn cool.
like i said, i never tried it with white, i will, gifts just went for situational things, like 3 kill spells and a creature they can't deal with if they have somehting that his killing you, things like that, i thought it worked fine, but i still have to try CaD and find out how it works.
best trade ever!!!! me and my friends were at our local gaming shoppe Ground Zero, and a kid was playing a bird deck, so we talked him into trading us a set of Wooded Foothills, Polluted Deltas, and Windswept Heath, for two, and yes i said TWO, Aven Bigadeer
