Im recently getting into modern and ive been playing mono black devotion and its extremely fun. I do however have a dilemma, im maining 4 thoughtseize, 4 inquisition, and 4 go for the throat. Is go for the throat the best option? I have yet to play against affinity, but im sure I will eventually. Would victim of night be better? Dismember? A mix? any advice would be aciated
I think you might be giving the card a little more hype than it actually deserves. For decks that would use this card are better off running terra stomper, mainly because you could spend 6 mana to play a 4/4 that potentially gives you nothing at all, or an uncounterable 8/8 trample. Which would you include in your deck? lol
honestly i couldn't speak as to what the community plays, I've only ever played casual with my friends. I appreciate your advice, i guess il just give it a whirl and see how it goes!

So it gives u/r a reason to play creatures thusly granting devotion, and makes your other spells sting a bit more.
The damage might be too strong though.
