Can we please have a discussion without getting all nasty about Bush? I don't want to talk about his alleged collusion with oil companies - I would like to discuss the merits of the proposal, and what alternative fuels are out there, and what they have to offer.
I agree that was a little bit of a cheap shot on my part. I just find it a little surprising that he'd do it though, considering his track record with business.
Anyway, I don't know a whole lot about ethanol except that it's more environment-friendly. However, it's certainly not the only alternative fuel source out there. Perhaps if we gave incentives to businesses who are actively looking for alternative fuel sources or just increase our federal funding for alternative fuel, then we can find out something. Until then, the government should raise awareness of ethanol, since practically no one knows much about it. Energy independence is important.
Hillary a moderate? You've got to be kidding. She fervently hopes she can portray herself as a moderate, but those who know better know she's liberal through and through. That is her greatest challenge - to come across as moderate (her husband was a master at it; that's why he was elected for 8 years) when in fact, she isn't. Her opponents (Dems in the primaries, GOP if she gets the Dem nomination) will do their best to show her "true" record.
Refresh my memory... what exactly is her "true" record? I'm not saying that you don't have any evidence to back this claim up, but you need to show the facts. When it comes to women's rights, she is undoubtedly liberal, but she did vote for the war in Iraq, and I still believe that she thinks that it was the right thing to do, even though she doesn't like the administration's direction in doing so. And Bill was a moderate: he heightened the War on Drugs, cracked down on welfare cheats, and even signed a little bill called the "Defense of Marriage Act."
Surprising considering how the man's practically in bed with oil companies. At the very least, it's safer for the environment. From what I've heard though, it can be quite expensive... why isn't there federally funded alternative fuel researching now?
@Strongbad: We're always here to spare an ear. When have we ever not been of help to those who need it?
@Alacar: I was thinking of making a Time Walk variant originally, but I thought that would be too basic (not that yours is).
I'm going to class in a couple of minutes... my Documentary Research class. After that it's a few hours to myself. I love Tuesdays and Thursdays... I have two classes instead of three.

Whenever Soltari Herder deals combat damage to a player, you may search your library for a creature card with converted mana cost X or less, where X is the damage dealt by Soltari Herder, reveal that card, and put it into your hand. If you do, shuffle your library.

@Philosophy: Believe it or not, I'm taking one of those classes too. It feels like it's going to be a mind rape session like my FYS, but it probably won't be as bad. Which reminds me, I have yet to do the reading for that class on Wednesday. Actually I should get to work now.

Not getting enough funding, though... the Republicans' policy of "selective government" is cutting its funds.
