I think this thread should be two threads; Naya and 5c Walkers, since they are very different decks. Although, I obviously think that 5c is just strictly better.
As for people playing blue (or considering playing blue), it should be noted that the best two cards in the deck are Cryptic Command and Jace Beleren by far, and that any less than 4 of both is foolish.
Absolutely loaded pack - and I knew whatever I took, my neighbor would get the Naya hook up. Went for the Thunder to keep Grixis open, maybe. Probably should've went Bull, though.
I don't fault anyone for taking thunder and trying to dodge Naya, but I think Bull's that much better, and is fine as a splash in literally any archetype. I take fixers aggressively, which some people don't. I think that taking bull and looking for 5c or Naya fat is fine.

Infest is really bad in Jund (thunder), so you're looking to go 5c here. I think taking the Naya card and locking down is fine. You'll be passing an infest, pushing them to look elsewhere. Infest is a greedy pick, I think.

Paladin literally does nothing for you unless you're taking this as a signal and diving in. It's restrictive both in cost and archetype. Rakeclaw leaves you open to Naya or 5c, and I would do this pick this way no matter what you had taken before.

I hate facing this card in 5C, and I knew my deck would be pretty slow, so a dedraft all the way...plus I doubted I'd run any black to make the Gargoyle any good.
This is where it gets weird, because if you drafted the way I did, you can splash Bull with all that fixing. If you do that, then you can actually cast Ignite, so you take the one of the two cards that you wouldn't want to face that you can board yourself.

Meh. Killed a few minutes. That draft was a bit awkward, since you never really WANT to be Bant, and when you are, you have to look for sub-archetype identity, and you weren't really given any, despite the signals calling that white was open. Hope this helped.
I gave the list to John Knapp, the second place finishing Tron player. It smashes Slide and Faeries, and Naya's a good match-up if they have access to less than 4 Hedge-Mage, and even with them it only makes it about an even match-up. Elves is also favorable, but TEPS is not (at least preboard. It's a pretty easy deck to sideboard for). Bant is the only real match-up that you have a real problem with, and that's mostly because of Teeg making it so you have to Path it and they can get you with their other guys. It's a great deck, and I gave it to about 4 people. John was the only one who trusted me enough to play it, and here we are.
I'm not going to spout my merits here, but Elspeth is not going to be banned. It's really just not as good as people are saying. It's a good card, but comparing it to Skullclamp is just a complete joke.
I think Fantic's good right now. Thoctar vs Vortex depends on what you think you're gonna play against. If you have all dude battles, you need Thoctar, but if all you're playing against are Loam decks and Bant then obviously Vortex is the call. Just depends on the metagame you're expecting.
Next, I played a fetch land and passed turn. He attacked with his Cat-Ape team. I cracked my land, getting another dual land, and killed the Cat with an Incinerate. He passed turn, missing his land drop and leaving two mana up.
Any particular reason you played into Might of Alara? I think the Hellspark Elementals need to go. They're not that good when you're jockeying for on board position anyway, which is exactly what this deck does. I would suggest a build closer to Saitos, Tarfire over Incinerates and Isamaru, and a sideboard like this:

Any particular reason you played into Might of Alara? I think the Hellspark Elementals need to go. They're not that good when you're jockeying for on board position anyway, which is exactly what this deck does. I would suggest a build closer to Saitos, Tarfire over Incinerates and Isamaru, and a sideboard like this:
