Leagues have nothing to do with the amount of programming that would be needed to do Archenemy or Planechase on MTGO. Since they are more focused on the user experience and collection server right now, I wouldn't expect either of these any time soon. But would I put it past them to eventually have it available online? Absolutely! That would be EPIC.
ChelloveckSkunk, you can hit me up if you want. My screen name is Tweaker. You can also find a ton of other MTGO players over at www.mymtgo.com. It's a social site for specifically MTGO players.
myMTGO.com is the first user-centric social website for the MTGO community. Up until now, websites devoted to MTGO have focused on the game, not the player. myMTGO is about the player!
Many “user” or “free” sites have forums and articles, but none have a user-focused approach which includes the kind of tools that community sites that are successful typically have. Some of our website features include:
Easily access everything that is MTGO specific content all directly on the homepage including announcements, MTGO news, release information, banned/restricted list and contact information to Wizards of the Coast. No more will you have to have 4-7 different links to get the same information.
A personal, robust profile which includes a lot of detailed information relevant to MTGO, not just the usual age, location, tag line, jpeg file, etc.
The user’s profile is in the form of a customized home page similar to MySpace or FaceBook which allows him to upload cool stuff to his page and it also identifies people in the player’s circle of friends.
A full blog feature which allows the user to not only introduce a blog but to have replies and threads related to his blog.
A personal place for you to post screen shots or anything you want in your own personal public or private album.
Every clan now can have their own personal area complete with memberships, albums, blogs and discussion threads. Easily customize your clan's look and feel to generate your own unique identity.
Private or one on one chat within the website with your friends.
I welcome everyone in the MTGO community to join up and get to know the players in the MTGO community.
I'm very familiar with site's like mtgsalvation.com, starcitygames.com, puremtgo.com, mtgcast.com for artitle's relating to MTG or MTGO. I'm curious what other sites out there do you guys read for game play, strategies and everything in between?
The OP is right, he is being screwed on purpose!
I recently stumbled upon a piece of code for MTGO while googling mws 2.0
Here is a part of it.
bool screwmode = false;
If (GetMTGSalvationUserName() == "Shade")
{
// make the user write a post about how bad the shuffler is at least
// once a week
If (DaysSinceLastNagPostAboutMTGOShuffler("Shade") > 7)
screwmode = true;
else
// 50% chance you are going to get screwed
screwmode = Random.Next(100) >= 50;
}
if (screwmode)
{
GiveCrappyStartingHandWithOneOrZeroLandAndNoLandNearTheTopOfLibrary();
}
else
{
GivePerfectOpeningHandWithTheNeededCardsOnTopOfLibrary();
}
You see!
To quote Kurt Angle: "Oh it's true... it's Damn True!"
