Then i would just wait for this to be moved to your so called "budget forums"
I really don't understand why this "Standard Deck Creation" section hasn't been renamed "expensive section" instead to differentiate from the "Competitive Section" which is undoubtedly already the unofficial "expensive section".
There is every reason that i would run Conifer Strider over Polukranos because this is what this deck is all about. But i guess the friendly Magic Community doesn't allow freedom of choice over this matter. So yeah, if this is redirected to the budget section then so be it.
And if Conifer Strider manages to reach the pro tour because a player manages to break him then bless the free thinkers of Magic. Thank you and have a good day.
Thanks for the suggestion, but then again i'm kind of evading expensive cards from the theros block because it's near rotation time. and that kinda takes away the strider part of the deck too.
This is a RGW Beatdown deck with two main win conditions.
First is the Strider. Conifer Strider, hexproof elementals with a 5/1 power-toughness ratio. The hesprood gives it survivability from spells but not much from combat since it's but is only a mere 1. Giving it evasion or in this case protection -Center Soul- does the trick; and the rebound protection for next combat really hurts, especially if you add Temur Battle Rage in the mix.
The second one -Scalelords- is a bit tricky to pull off, but when done so will truly be an amazing finish. Yup, it's the combo between at least two Enduring Scalelords that when triggered will give you a near infinite +1/+1 counters. The difficult part is the setup. Center Soul can give protection from removal spells but it would be a very difficult task to protect the Scalelords since seeing two of them in play will instantly attract attention. But, if ever a scenario unfolds where two scalelords are allowed to attack, then the only thing left to be done is to trigger the combo - with instant +1/+1 counter givers such as Reap What is Sown and Honor's Reward. Honor's Reward is more of a long shot though as you have to at least another weaker creature in play so that the combo can be triggered.
Other important cards here include Atarka's Command which is a great utility card for this deck.Savage Ventmaw is also here other than being a potential finisher for the game but also because of it's mana ramping ability; and with that mana i can follow up with more creatures.
This is a mono-blue artifact toolbox deck that i'm planning to make and play in the Tiny Leader format~
The Leader is Muzzio, Visionary Architect.
Muzzio's ability is very useful in this format -given that most of the cards in the deck are artifact types- where the cmc cap is 3. You would almost always guarantee an artifact drop whenever he activates his ability.
Muzzio's Assistants in the shop:
Skill Borrower gets you the important artifact abilities even before the real cards get to the field.
Anthems and mana for artifact abilities.
Even in the Tiny Leader format, high quality gadgets are expensive to use. Bannerets assures that precious mana can be saved for future use.
And it would not hurt if the gadgets already deployed in the field could be used to launch those still in the assembly line.
The youngest in the team, he is quite promising as a provider of mana; and perhaps his Vial of Dragonfire would prove useful once it is officially launched in circulation.
Projects of the shop:
We test our gadget's abilities again and again -just to make sure they really work.
Upgrades! Upgrades! Upgrades!
We love building big things.
Good old swords. Too bad the last is not cleared for production.
The idea of Humans vs Titans is great! as far as the story goes, for the human deck however, there still should be at least one Titan - since the Protagonist *spoiler* becomes one. Titanic Growth or Giant Growth also fits in the storyline. and Wall of Frost just shouts the Town of Trost where some of the intense battle took place.
good idea. hmmm... maybe I can make a separate Jund Titan deck. This one's more of the Scouting Legions version. Jund could be the Royal Police version. and of course, walls walls walls for a third one.
This is a naya deck themed after the series: Attack on Titan | Mostly for casual play, but i think it can also pass for semi-competitive. What's important here though is the theme~ Humans and Titans!
CARDS
As Titans are expensive to cast, i only limited the deck to about four - 2 Inferno Titans and 2 Primeval Titan. I've chosen them because Inferno resembles the Colossal Titan of the series, and Primeval reminds me of the battle they had with the female titan in the forest. in-game, Inferno Titan's etb and combat effect can whittle down at enemy creatures or players, while Primeval Titan's etb searches for precious lands as this is a naya deck and mana complexity poses problems.
Assemble the Legion just needs to be here for that war for survival feel of the series; and in-game this really becomes almost unstoppable come mid-game. Boros Charm is here for that added indestructible or damage whenever needed.
Ordeal of Heliod and Ordeal of Nylea also have that Humans killing Titans feel so they are included. plus they trigger the heroics, give you life gain, and searches for lands.
The deck wouldn't be complete without the Humans. Heroic Humans who in the series have endured grueling ordeals in order to survive and triumph.
Aerial Maneuver and Spire Tracer has that 3D Maneuver gear feel to it. Spire Tracer is mostly unblockable in combat, while Aerial Maneuver triggers heroic, gives +1/+1, flying, and first strike.
Gods Willing just has that deus ex machina feel to it, while Titan's Strength just resembles a crucial episode in the series; and they both have scry.
So there you have it - the ATTACK ON TITAN DECK. | Overall this is just a fun deck to play with, especially for those who have watched/read or a fan of the series.
Temur Elves is a midrange elf tribal deck that relies on anthems and +1/+1 counters for combat power, and spells that allow for combat evasion. It's a simple beatdown deck with a not-your-usual elf tribal team.
MAINBOARD:
+1/+1 COUNTERS | The key combo in this deck would be Joraga Warcaller and Master Biomancer's abilities and how they empower the elf army. Joraga's ability buffs Biomancer, which in turn gives additional counters to the next entering Joraga or another Biomancer; and at which the buffs and counters keep stacking.
MANA and ANTHEMS | This deck needs massive mana generation in order to sustain the spells needed for combat; Gyre Sage does the job well in this deck of +1 counters; and of course Elvish Archdruid's draw power in an elf tribal deck, added with his +1 anthem bonus are always useful. Bramblewood Paragon on the other hand gives trample to creatures with +1 counters, which are a lot in this deck.
HASTE | Temur Ascendancy gives haste and additional draws when all the creatures entering are big enough for Ferocious
COMBAT SPELLS | These spells support the elf army both during offense and defense. Icy Blast can either be used defensively or for clearing blockers during attack; and Roar of Challenge is much like Lure, with a Ferocious Indestructible effect to it.
SUPPORT SPELLS | Simic Charm has great card removal power and a Hexproof buff to all my creatures, which is useful against those pesky removal spells - except boardwipes of course.
I've also included Radha, Heir to Keld in the sideboard list. She's supposed to be in the mainboard just because her card art is just awesome, even though her abilies doesn't help much except give mana.
