You pay B and pick another number, X. Pay X twice using any kind of mana. For example, if you want 3 zombies, you will pay B+3+3=6B. The double X is just for balance, imagine being able to pay 3B to get three 2/2 Zombies and (hopefully) kill a creature.

Kaya is wearing very "Earth in 2016" clothes for someone living in Fiora. It'd be cool if it turned out she actually was from Earth, but that will never happen.
"Earth in 2016"... you mean the medieval leather jacket and spiked metal bracers?
Can everyone stop with the business talk? It doesn't matter what our opinions are, even with all the crappy sets lately, wizards is selling enough packs to be profitable and thrive, thats a discussion for its own forum topic.
Reprinting expensive cards benefit the people who haven't investere in Wizards' products and hurt the people who have already supported Wizards of the Coast.
Oh no! Doing something that helps newer players out, helping to generate more new interest in the game and therefore earning more profit? A profit-maximizing business would never do this!
(Sorry for the snarky response, here's a real one. In seriousness, Wizards has shown that they are willing to reprint staples in Masters Sets even if a booster's EV is low nonetheless, and I understand older players' concerns about secondary market prices. However, you do have to remember that Hasbro, as a for-profit corporation, has the primary goal of maximizing their profit, not yours or anyone else's.)
If anything, her closing statements make her sound more UB than BR, with all this manipulating people and carefully crafting her oath to be just perfect.
To clarify, I meant specifically during the time she is using the Veil in a "new" way. At the end of the story she isn't using the Veil. It was just my impression that the way she used the Veil in this story, she seemed very BR, with all the focus on immediate gain, anger, recklessness and passion (in addition to/combined with black traits). What I mean is, at this point she's still just B - this was just her first taste of going "all-in" on the power of the Veil. I think her hunger for power will mean she will do this more often (permanently?) and this will make her BR. I felt the choice of words in the story was hinting at this, but it's entirely possible that I read too much into it.
The idea of the Veil making her act as BR makes some sense, as it was created by a race of BR ogres (see Kurkesh, Onakke Ancient for the red bit).
I am thinking of making deck kinda like this, but i am perplexed by not seeing Exquisite Firecraft, i get that it is 3 mana which is not really a good cmc for procing prowess, but it is also 4 damage to face, i like to have finishers, if 3 Exquisite Firecraft's go through you only need 8 more damage before them or after them to win the game. Visions are awesome add and i didn't really think of them, will be sure to add them to my list.
In my opinion, Collective Defiance is strictly better and more flexible than firecraft is.
Please, don't use "in my opinion" and "strictly better" together. Strictly better means that there is no practical situation that something is worse. An opponent having a counter in hand is certainly a common situation, as is wanting to deal 1 more damage to the player.
That said, I agree that Defiance is *usually* better. The question, then, becomes: Is it worth running 6 or 7 of them by adding 2-3 Firecraft?
Please dont say "that said". We know you said it. Why must you say you said it?

Maro! Say it isn't so! People are saying at blogatog live you declared no contraptions on kaladesh! If we can't find how to do it in a steampunk world I don't know if I'll ever get to see them
Reply by Maro
There was something that was a perfect fit, a mechanic I’ve been trying to find a home for many years. Because of that, there wasn’t the right mechanical space to also fit in contraptions.
I promise I will one day find a home for contraptions. It just wasn’t in Kaladesh block.

So... this brings up two questions:
1. What mechanic(s) has Maro been talking about that got scratched from sets or were designed but never used in any of his articles?
and
2. Where else will contraptions exist, since MaRo says they will find a home? (This implies that it won't be very soon, as they still need to find that home.)

Hoping we'll get a mechanics article on day 1 (even though that's still tomorrow for me)!

I doubt it... Ula and Cosi died, whereas Emrakul is where she needs to be to fulfill her purpose later.
