Wouldn't that be covered by the "or"? As opposed to "and/or"... It's "a single opponent or a single permanent", not "a single opponent and/or a single permanent ". The spell wouldn't comply with the condition if it targeted both a permanent and an opponent because that's "and", not "or" (which would only be one)
Can someone enlighten us about why the "only" is needed as errata? How does functionality change without it? It's still a single player or permanent...
Now that I have gone through the IP policy, my understanding is the problem is twofold: on the one hand, Felix is being paid to do original work and he didn't (that's between WotC and Felix); on the other Felix used someone else's work (that's between Felix and the DeviantArt artist). I don't see a problem between WotC and the artist due to the policy; however, the fact that they paid for a new piece and got this stuff will allow them to be harsh on Felix. Too bad, I liked his earlier stuff.
I believe sealed can be balanced by introducing a mechanic similar to Ascend. Soemthing granting you The Spark, and PWs with abilities that have a rider "you may play this ability only if you have the spark". Didn't go through 6 pages of the thread so not sure if anyone suggested something similar already.
Well, I was afraid it would come to this.
I love the OG Niv-Mizzet, in many aspects. Art, flavor, mechanics.
I still have to be realistic and acknowledge that new Niv-Mizzet outclasses OG by far.
I believe the new discussion is: Is there any good reason to continue using the Firemind over Parun?
I can only think of the Mind over Matter combo at this point.
Brother Chicken, do not feed the troll. Just practice ignoring their nonsense.
