Went 3-1 with a control list losing only to the mirror. Was surprisingly easy to fight through both authority of the consuls and thalia. The deck is pretty busted. The pros will find an optimal list and break the format and this combo will be banned after the PT. I'm sure of it.

Do you have a list you'd be willing to share im getting ready to build this deck I saw it did fairly well at the most recent scg open.

Sorin is a good finisher. You should have 4x Glimmer of Genius. You could probably cut one Anguished for it

I disagree on the number of Glimmer of Genius. I think three is the right number. You don't need them jamming up your opening hand or drawing more of them from your draw spells. If you really need more drawing action between Anticipate and Glimmer of Genius, you should be able to get it via Torrential Gearhulk.

I do agree that Sorin, Grim Nemesis is a fine finisher.

Hey guys! Sorry for the late reply, and thanks for the feedback! I've come back with a new list based on testing, much more polished and streamlined, with sideboard plans which I will explain below Smile

I cut sinister concoction and quarantine field because they were a bit too clunky, same with the ruinous path, which while powerful is not where we want to be at sorcery speed; with 3 anguished unmaking main, they felt unnecessary. Scour the laboratory wasn't doing what I wanted, and often wished it was just another glimmer of genius. Spell shrivel was really good in testing, but I swapped in favor of revolutionary rebuff because the 1 mana difference is that powerful; interacting early is better. Liliana, The Last Hope was swapped out for Gideon, Ally of Zendikar because while it was nice being able to recur gearhulks and kill x/1 creatures, I want my planeswalkers to be able to win on an empty board, and Liliana takes too long to ultimate compared to Gideon who can end the game in the time before she reaches 7 loyalty, plus he protects himself. Spell Queller and Linvala, The Preserver are powerful diversified threats against the field, the former being especially useful where opponents side out removal and still fits into our overall gameplan of control and playing at instant speed, while the latter is potentially 8/8 flying power and most of the time we'll be able to proc the lifegain because of our anguished unmakings and being attacked in general. Also, I'm still messing around with the md/sb configuration, sometimes I have the flaying tendrils and transgress the mind switched, also a 4th anguished unmaking over the 3rd Summary Dismissal.

When it comes to our sideboard plan, I tried to tune the sideboard to play into the strengths of the jeskai control list, while still taking advantage of our color combination. Refer to https://www.reddit.com/r/spikes/comments/5epeb6/standard_jeskai_control_sideboarding_guide_by/ to see what I mean.

Against B/G Delirium, transgress can snipe liliana/ishkanah/mindwrack and can clear the way for our Gideon; we pull a strong U/W flash impersonation and start to apply the pressure right away

Against U/W Flash I bring in the transgress as well to take out avacyn/gideon, as well as the spell quellers to tax their removal while providing tempo to bring us into the lategame where we're favored.

I encourage you all to try my list and come back to me with any questions comments or critiques Smile For the glory of Esper!

Just went 8-1 at GP Warsaw with Jeskai. I will post decklist and results tomorrow after day 2.

For now I'll just throw it in that Chandra, Torch of Defiance and sideboard Dragonmaster Outcast are real playmakers.

Very interested to see your list.

I've been playing bant company since GP Houston a few months back and wasn't the whole point of playing stratus dancer or skyspawner to win against rally(or other decks that gum up the ground). I've cut 2x jace and the dragonslayer and replaced with 3 stratus dancer. Its been great as both evasion and counter magic. Displacement wave seems sweet.

You could always add oath of Nissa as a type of draw effect for gruul colors and keep blood moon.maybe even add a plainswalker to get the extra value from oath.

I've been following this deck for a few weeks now and was wondering with all the processing how come no one runs surgical extraction alongside hand disruption. It seems really good you can even surgical some fetches so you can some what mana screw an opponent and turn on ur sower granted u might need a urborg to use off color ones. Just seems like a good inclusion in my mind but then again I haven't even finished building my deck.

Just picked up infect again after a year of not playing it. Running Tom Ross list with serums but tweaked it to my liking. Really satisfied with the serums main. Been going 4-0 & 3-1 with the list at my local game nights which has been hitting 30+ players each night due to GP testing. I'll post my list:

    4x inkmoth nexus
    3x forest
    2x breeding pool

    1x dryad arbor

    CREATURES
    4x Noble Hierarch
    4x Glistened Elf
    4x Blighted Agent
    2x Spellskite

I'm currently using mandrills. But still junk is giving me troubles. The raptor is okay for a 3drop and gets awesome the longer the game drags on. Huntmaster hardly trades with anything and needs to flip before you hope to attack. I've dropped the raiders to 2 and i've made a roast/pyre split.
My advice for vs. Junk is more Huntmasters. I bring in 3 against them and my whole gameplan becomes "resolve and stick a Huntmaster." Once he's out you do everything you can to flip him back and forth, don't even cast Tarmogoyf if you draw him and you don't have Ravager. Wait, flip Huntmaster, and then cast Goyf + thing to flip him back the next turn. Junk can't compete with that kind of engine; their only hope is to topdeck a Path or an Abrupt Decay (and then wait for him to be Ravager so they can target him with it). By then you might even have a second one, and in any case you'll have a ton of Wolves.

i literally just did this exact scenario against junk on modo it was awesome flipping him back and forth also even flipping him on their turn with snap caster plus bolt and i even flipped him with snapcaster plus deprive it was really cool lol. junk player finally conceded after him being stalled for 5 turns with a rhino and his souls getting taken out 1 by one when i flipped huntmaster also noot letting him resolve anything due to countermagic. im getting ready to start taking it to my weekly modern tourney at my LGS. one thing i wanted to ask what do you think about LOGIC KNOT maybe a 1of i know it affects with mandrills but seems sweet with thoughtscour.

Also, would we run Bloodbraid Elf if it was unbanned?

Yes, Id likely go back into naya colors.

so is naya just not viable anymore? maybe something like old big zoo with thundermaw domri in the main chokes and blood moons in the side,

have any of u guys tried like a naya zoo with discard creatures such as loxodon smiter, wilt-leaf liege and some thrun, the last troll in the board or even main deck ive been playing tribal zoo for the past few months and was doing way better before the bans now with all these abzan decks i cant seem to win due to their high hand disruption.

Savage Knuckleblade requires you to sequence your fetch differently.
Having those extra abilities is nice, but it is a pain on the mana along with the tribal flames plan PLUS getting the correct mana for siege rhino.

Traditional zoo would just play smiter because its an effective creature against the current meta.
Is there anyway to put back ghor clan into the list? The new tribal deck is very nice, but it lacks the oomph you get from the trample.

T1 Temple Garden T2 Blood Crypt T3 Breeding Pool ?
T1 Wild Nacatl / Noble Hierarch / Path to exile T2 Tarmogoyf / Lightning Helix / Ghor-Clan Rampager T3 Geist of Saint Traft / Anafenza, the foremost / Savage knuckleblade T4 Siege rhino i think its doable
