that art on the aura is a right-away contender for the worst of the last... 26 years.
Um what. No, it isn't. It's pretty mediocre, but the fact alone that the artist was capable of drawing the moonlight outline of the wolf's fur makes better than some of the truly awful art from MTG's past.
Wait, someone thinks this is NOT competitive?! This is definitely competitive. You have to think of it as a 4/4 flier on turn 3 kind of like what the current Djinn in standard is like. You can literally just play her turn 3, +2 her, and drop a 4/4 flier on turn 4.
So which one is it?
Because a 4/4 flier on turn 3 would be pretty good, but hardly game-breaking (Tempest Djinn being the obvious example, and you can even get what's effectively a 5/4 flier on turn 3 with upside using Spawn of Mayhem).
But spending your turn 3 to get a 4/4 flier on turn 4? That in itself is not playable, and if that's what you're going to do with her, you're not going to ultimate her.
The ultimate is tempting, because it can concievably be done on turn 6. But you can't both see this card as an an early flier and a race to the ultimate. It's either or.
Fine guys, just crush my dreams I hear you, don't bother with the pump spells.
I do like the looks of Domri, Anarch of Bolas. I feel like he'll be best utilized alongside pelt collector or another 1 drop. Best scenario turn 1 collector into turn 2 Zhuur-taa Goblin as 3/3 into turn 3 Domri, then either fight to truck damage through and prevent a swing back on Domri, or add mana play another pelt collector or shock. Swing in for 7 damage on turn 3.
As I"ve mentioned, I feel that this line of play, or with a Spellbreaker on turn 3 instead of Domri, makes Evolution Sage a really interesting turn 4 play followed by a land right away. Adds 3 power to the board and proliferates all your stuff for a total of 5-6 power, then proceeds to buff your stuff every turn.
Nope, not feasible in this version. Without Feather out, a lot of your cards are really bad or outright uncastable, and you have no way to cheat Feather out. And even then, he dies way before you can make real value from the buyback effect, leaving you with a library full of bad draws.
Angrath, Giant Growth and Samut's Sprint are completely trash cards in Standard. GG hasn't been a viable constructed card in ages, and sprint might be even worse. What you're talking about is a casual deck, not competitive.
If you, like me, play Pelt Collector, Growth-chamber Guardian and Zhur-Taa Goblin, Evolution Sage becomes a really interesting 3-drop. It even bolsters whatever version of Domri you're playing. From turn 4, you're basically laying down an anthem each turn. And the Sage itself has 3 power, so it's not like it grinds your aggro plan to a halt.
The Elderspell, broken? Are you kidding me? Your opponent needs to have 2+ planeswalkers in play for this to be card advantage, and even so, they'll already have gotten at least 2 effects out of those walkers, which may very well negate the card advantage.
On top of that, it's double black, meaning that it's a hoser card with a restrictive mana cost.
Maybe not in WAR, but in Standard, there's a lot of applications for proliferate. This makes Pelt Collector a 3/3 on turn 2. Riot creatures will profit off of Proliferate if you can make the Naya manabase work.
This is way underrated, based on how no one was talking about him after the initial leak.
I've been piloting a Gruul deck on MTGO over the last month, netting me 1200 tickets in Competitive League. This will put the deck over the top. It's a 3 mana planeswalker that does FOUR relevant things.

Yes, but it doesn't say opponent can't PUT counters on creatures, it says creatures can't HAVE counters on them at all.
This completely hoses Nissa. It makes her kill your lands.

Jesus, the overreactions on this subforum.
Doesn't have any form of evasion.
