I straight up replaced my Crucible of Worlds with Ramunap Excavator and haven't been happier. It's easier to tutor for with Birthing Pod, it works better with Saffi and friends, it's a straight across better deal than the Artifact.
I was also running Salvage Scout for a little artifact recursion, however Restoration Specialist is doing a much better job.

I've looked through Ebay several times for anything remotely like this, and came up empty. I didd however notice some artists painting anime characters onto cards like full art basic lands, and selling those. Is that not a copyright infringement since they are using existing Magic art, (the backgrounds) and selling them for a profit?
Please keep in mind I have no intention to simply part with these, Or try and sell them. I was only trying to find info on supply/demand, and possible value. If anything I would like to see these cards behind glass with a frame. Since I'm missing one, It would be awesome to track it down, and obtain it for the full set.
Do these cards ever come up for trade anywhere?

Hey guys, So I've been out of Magic now for years, I used to be very involved in the tournament scene and traveled the world playing in various locations. Over a decade ago I came across some cool looking anime Power 9 proxies from a dealer in Singapore, around 2004 or so. Here it is, 2016 and I have scoured The Googles in hopes of learning anything I can about these, but so far I can only find two different sites that just barely mention them. Magic Library and Dies to Removal are the only places that seem to have some pictures and a brief description on these. A few forum posts here and there, MOTL and other places has people asking about these with little to no info as well. I have heard that they are sought after, and some people want them for cube play, etc. All tthese cards have a slight crease in the very top middle from shuffling, since they are not printed on normal Magic card stock. They say they are from MtgChina(dot)net but that site no longer exists.
So what I'm asking for here today, is if anyone has any info on these than just what can be found searching google. Value is helpful, but I'm not positive I will part with these. I would like an idea as to what I should be doing with them. Supply/demand. And why I can't find a single one on Ebay may also help.
Thank you taking the time to look guys, and thanks for any help.

Why isn't the updated info on the spoiled lands on the front page yet? It's not fun digging through pages looking for the few lands that were spoiled. Lets get active mods and put the info up for easy access.

Epic Spells. Like the one that fetches you an enchantment each upkeep. Why not grab two!

    Keldon Marauders

One of my favorite two drops. It's even played in legacy burn decks.

This is really nice because it will be easier to get more foil versions. I have been working on making my burn deck all foil lately, and I could only get one foil Goblin Guide so far.
I'm not as impressed with this choice on the art work, but it's not that bad.
I just hope they're easy to get.

I threw together a burn list for Modern, but I added x4 Stomping Grounds and x4 Rootbound Crag's as well to add four Bloodbraid Elfs. Every thing in the deck is either a creature with haste; Goblin Guide, Boggart Ram-Gang, Hellspark Elemental, Bloodbraid. I have Keldon Marauders in as well simply because of the mana to damage ratio.

Cascading into additional hasty creatures or burn seemed like a good idea, and the turn four spot doesn't have much of anything better, does it?

You do realize that artifact creatures are all next to free, right?

It sounds like standard might be fun to try and play again for the next month or so. I never owned any Jaces, and that was one reason I didn't think it was worth getting into standard. I really didn't want to spend $400 on just a playset of cards to be competitive.

How do we deal with a Ratchet Bomb coming down on turn 2?

I imagine a well played Into the Roil would deal with a Ratchet Bomb tapping for a second charge counter.

    4-0-1 with this build.

I was thinking of putting a few Ratchet Bombs SB. But I don't have any idea what to take out.

I think you forgot to add x2 Call to Mind to your deck list.
What would Ratchet Bomb take care of that you couldn't just bounce, or double bounce with an Into the Roil?

Bad apples screwed it up for everyone else. The reports of people claiming host to events and just pocketing the supplies and promos for their own personal gain is most probably what spurred this decision.

Some people just can't have nice things.

    This.
I know of a guy doing just this. He had a small store, you could fit about 10-15 people in it. He would get the promos for FNM or otherwise, hand out about 2 or 3 of them as prizes, and then put the rest into his case for sale.
About 6 months ago, he lost his store, but I'm pretty sure he's still getting product somehow. He now wanders around with a trade binder at big events, still full of tournament promos...

What happened to sligh or rdw running 16 lands? :p Thoose were good times. Grin
I run 22 lands in my rdw and find it a perfect number for deck running no koth/masti. Im also suprised seeing ppl run 24/25 lands but i guess it has to work well since they end in tops Smile

If you were to go back and look through early decklists of RDW, which one among them ran less than 20 lands? As far back as 1997 Red decks have been running 23+ lands. You're always going to want to make your land drops every turn to make your curve. If you're drawing extra lands, hold on to them and use them to bluff your opponent into thinking you have some business cards.
It's not really a bad thing to have a couple extra lands in your hand as long as you're runing a decent game up to that point.

Infraction for doing the exact opposite of what I asked

Please keep this on topic. Early versions of RDW and how many lands they ran is irrelevant. Thanks.

I believe this is very inaccurate.
To better understand the archetype, It's good to know the history of a deck, how it worked before, and what kind of mana base it was running. Understanding the history of Magic is just as important as understanding the history of your country. You don't want to repeat bad mistakes made before. Therfore, bringing up the history of a deck that's very relavent to the deck were disscussing is a good idea. this will allow newer players to better understand how the deck they choose to play, how this deck has evolved over the years, and what has allowed it to prosper so well. This deck has been viable over the years for a reason.
