Caleb Scherer's fetchless list is really good. I wish there was a remand or something in it I'm also not the huge fan of Wipe Away but I can see why he chose it over Echoing Truth in a Eldrazi Tron meta.
So I played a pretty outdated and likely bad list tonight after basically picking up the deck from the Star City Heavily Played box (basically got all the turns, mines, and lands for about $100)
My big question is sideboarding I'm well aware of issues with my main board and will be fixing some of them (like the lack of Temporal Mastery) I have a hastily thrown together board, but I largely found myself not really using it outside of grabbing the 3rd/4th exhaustion/gigadrowse and really just cutting the Jaces most of the time.
Here's the list (it's bad, not sure how I went 3-1 with it)
- Relic of Progenitus is awesome These days, shutting down Delirium/Goyfs/Dredge/Storm/...
- Skred still shines vs everything, you just Need 5lands :'D
- Beside Blood Moon and Rain, I think we Need more vs Tron.
- Dredge is still a f*cked up deck
- I have no ideas what to do vs Through the Breach
- Stormbreath and Koth > Liliana of the Veil
Skred is still an awesome deck in the meta - nice matchups vs Affinity, Death Shadow, Jund/Junk
But we Need to improve the matchups vs Storm and Tron/Eldra Tron.
Im glad to be back on Skred
Honestly I've been playing Pithing Needle and Rabblemaster vs tron and it's been.... ok. I'd rather not build a sideboard specifically just to beat tron though.
Storm has just always been historically rough for us.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a bum and been really lazy, so I haven't update the primer in a while. The deck is pretty stable now and filled out nicely. Most of the new things we got are just slight upgrades to what we already had, and we hadn't had found anything amazing that we can build around (e.g Death's Shadow for Jund). Unless someone comes up with a radical list, there really isn't much to talk about.
Now don't be like that! You have a much easier time updating your primer than I do!
Also totally putting a list together for dragon tempest now that I remember it's a card.
I'll continue to advocate that faithless looting is not a good card for any Skred build as no metter what it's card disadvantage. I'd rather use Tormenting Voice.
Also the mobile site is garbage. Why does mtgsalvation need a banner that takes up 1/3 of the screen in landscape?
I think the card is playable as a 1 of. It has an advantage over sarkhan since it can enter attack and kill a blocker then take the next turn off. Rather than enter kill a blocker next turn attack. It seems better situationally compared to sarkhan.
I'd run 2 Stormbreath 1 glorybringer, 1 sarkhan (if I even bother with sarkhan at all, never been the cards biggest fan).
I've mentioned in the past if you think it's worth trying just try it as a one of.
So the deck needs triple red and double blue on curve? Why not look at filter lands like Cascade Bluffs? I'm not sure a full 4 would be good, but 2-3 might be optimal. I also thing 40 lands might be excessive. So what if we look at something like this?
Trimming 2 lands gives us room for 2 lightning bolt (I'm not convinced it's necessary though) We could trade that for something like Blood Moon, but that could easily goof up the mana curve and we're better off trading more moutnains for islands (so do 15 islands and less mountains)
Treasure Hunt is defintaely an all star in any deck running this number of lands though. It can be a savior for a late combo turn and won't have the turn ending drawback that Day's Undoing/card] has. If you want that effect you're likely better off with Time Reversal
That's pretty bad advice considering that all forms of tron have some number of maindeck answers to bridge. Or were you talking about the Merfolk matchup?
Oh the blasphemy! I decided I'm not playing ramp. I wanna run Reckoners, PnK, stormbreath and Batterkill, so screw it.
Also this is generally how I'd build with reckoner nowadays.
If you're really set on running that high of a curve you HAVE to run Mind Stone for the consistent ramp. Spirit Guide is good for only a single turn where mind stone makes that top deck 2nd dragon look a lot better.
I didn't do fantastic unfortunately. But I figured it might be worth the read for somebody out there.

That said I'll be livestreaming some Xmage games in about 10min or so
