Besides Ajani's quarry is not with Ashiok (does he even know he exists?) but with Heliod and Erebos. He might have come to Kaladesh looking for a device that allows travel to Theros's Underworld bypassing the dead/undead restrictions.

I think the word you are looking for is "quarrel". But yes, I agree. Can't wait for them to explain why he's here.

    Maybe he is after Tezz?
Trying to find Bolas to make some kinda of deal to help get Elspeth back? a trade of lives perhaps?

Why not use cards like windfall, whispering madness and teferi's puzzle box?
Also howling mine effects seem good here?

What about a card like gerrard's verdict?
With white black fast lands being released shortly, I am all for the W/B 8-rack list.(one of the few 8-rack players)
While a card like this wouldn't break 8-rack by any means, I do think it would make the deck much more competitive.

Also why would wizards not just use modern masters to reprint cards that are too strong for standard but okay in modern?
I am sure that's been brought up already but makes sense to me.

"Discards two cards" effects mostly cost three mana these days. Getting an upside on top of that is unheard of at two. Plus Gerrard is long dead, so it can't be reprinted outside of a Time Warp set unless you want to artificially create a W/B hate cards archetype in Legacy by giving it a functional reprint with a different name. Which you don't.

They decided when they created "Masters" sets that the cards wouldn't be legal outside of formats they're already legal. Hard to go back on that.

Which is why i made the spiel about cards being reprinted in modern masters because i know discard 2 for 2 cmc is too strong for standard.
I know Gerrard is long dead, wouldn't be hard to even just print a card with the similar effect and make it 2 life per land discarded.

I just feel there are so many cards that are just slightly too bad for legacy, and would fit perfectly into modern.
This is just an effect i would love to have.

We have wrench mind, it's just kinda meh sometimes.

R2: Treasure Hunt/Lightning Storm. 0-2. I just didn't know how to interact with it. Game 2 I could have won if I kept my continuous flow of lands in my hand instead of playing them.

Pithing needle works wonders, Lightning storm's ability is actually activated, so pithing needle naming lightning storm wins you the game fairly easy.

    4/5 haste.

ETB gain control of a creature UeoT, untap it, it gains haste until UeoT.

Too much setup for not enough payoff IMO, cause if you don't know the top of your library it's just random how well you do too much of the time. It's nice that it's instant, but FoF this ain't.

How much better is this than read the bones, where you spend a mana less and get to keep all of the best cards you see? I might even like foresee better...

foresee is a sorc... this is an instant.

So what are the chances we see "Anje Falkenrath" as a card?
Not sure if there are even any mythic slots left
(most of the mythics so far seem super meh)

She has been shown in at least one picture in the art books (or at least I believe that's her)

I believe there's one mythic spot left, and we're missing a WU mythic Spirit legend (we have Gisa/Geralf, Olivia, Ulrich, and Sigarda for Zombies, Vamps, Werewolves, and Humans), so our last mythic will probably be that. Anje could be rare, though.

Fair enough, I could see a new St. T being printed.
I guess we will find out in a little bit or tomorrow as all mythics are always spoiled before the full set on friday

Mythics are a huge let down so far(for the most part).
Tamiyo seems like a cool midrange walker.(Also seems like a fun tool for those of us who play around with doubling season super friends in modern every now and again)

The sudo hymn seems more than good enough for modern which is my number 1 card spoiled thus far.

And then we have evolution, the card that just can do anything, delve, twin, angel "pod", melira, you name it.
    Great card.

harmless offering also is a nice addition to modern :).(and standard for a short time)

    krosan grip?
    Sudden spoiling?
misc other instants... red has copy spells which would work on the "rise of the dark realms"
    silence?
    Lots of things to do.

not to mention graveyard hate...(which every deck should have at least 1-2 cards for this... if possible.)

What if Tibalt is the next Eldrazi titan?

Could also be part of Emmy's "eldrazi conscription power" where over time set walkers consumed enough power to grow into titans.

What if All the eldrazi titans were once planeswalkers?
Because I remember hearing a long while back while planeswalkers could walk the blind eternities, they couldn't stay there.
Maybe Emmy stayed too long and was mutated and became one with the eternities?

RED MOTIVES. WHITE TOOLS. RED/WHITE CHARACTER

Jesus people how many times do I have to say it?

Color identity has never worked that way before. Up to this point, personality and motive were everything.

*points at Sarkhan, Unbroken and Blue* Part of the justification for it is that he time travels. I know that there have been other examples where your tools determine your color identity partially.
The blue part of the new sarkhan is because he isn't bound by bolas and is now able to think for himself once again...
