Round 1: 2-0 vs. Mono-Green Stompy
Round 2: 2-0 vs. Goblins
Round 3: 0-2 vs. Elves
Round 4: 2-1 vs. Mono-Green Ramp
Round 5: 2-0 vs. Dimir Control
Top 4 Cut-off
Semifinals: 2-1 vs. Naya Slivers
Finals: 2-0 vs. GW Hexproof
AS for that Top8 list from GP Santiago... I think the 2x Chandra, Torch of Defiance and 2x Unsubstantiate can become 4x Flame Lash. What do you guys think? It's burn spell 13-16 and 4 damage is a huge chunk; can take out Avacyns and green Gearhulks w/ their triggers on stack.
Anyone saw that 23rd place list of UR Fevered Visions from this weekend's SCG? I liked how it generally works and tweaked it to my preference. Here is my list now:
Some points regarding my list:
1. I LOVE THE 4X FLAME LASH! I felt that the deck really needed that extra 16 points of damage.
2. 4x Bombardment maindeck isn't so bad considering all the aggro decks early in Standard, especially the Vehicles.
3. Axe and Wrath in the SB come in vs. aggro and possibly mirror.
4. Castigators and Reveler come in vs. Ramp and Control.
5. Negates, Summary Dismissal and Pieces of the Puzzle come in vs. Control.
5. Spell Shrivels and Summary Dismissal will help vs. creature-based midrange decks.
A couple of notes for personal preferences in the deck:
1. 3 BI only since I never wanted multiples of it.
2. Groundswell over Might of Old Krosa for me for instant-speed applicability. Rarely was it relevant that I'm unable to fetch and I know how to save them for when I need it.
Can't really play in big local events lately due to medical school + qualifying for PPTQ Dublin Looking forward to testing it in tourneys soon.
After yesterday's 3rd WMCQ, I went 5-4. My losses were all due to Game 3 mulligan to 5's due to lack of threats in hand. Frustrating to lose like that. I'm going back to Martin Juza's BUG Infect with [card]Plague Stinger[/cards] and add a couple of [card]Abrupt Decay[/cards]s in the sideboard.
Hi everyone! Our country's last WMCQ will be held this weekend. I haven't changed anything from my given decklist, although I've been given a couple of potential changes some thought:
2. Should I swap the 2 Twisted Image for a 3rd Dismember and a Grafdigger's Cage? I'd be losing some SB options vs. Affinity, but I'll be gaining some advantage vs. Abzan Company (which I haven't been winning for quite some time now)
@DuceMcCrappin: Thanks for linking that! Never got behind Finks; didn't see much use for it outside of Burn and Jund. Spellskitefor me always had better utility. Always preferred Groundswell over MooK. Instant-speed +4/+4 for me always outweighed sorcery speed, plus I know when to not fetch to have it ready. Haha, even Tyler Hill made Top32 w/ a slightly tweaked Jessup list.
Hi guys. I haven't posted in a while. I won last weekend's PPTQ-Dublin in our area out of 46 players. I can fly to Taipei or Japan in December for the RPTQ if i get my VISA ready on time. The following were my match-ups:
I also noticed from this weekend's GP Guanzhou 6 players made Top32 with Infect. 5/6 of them played Andrew Jessup's stocklist. What is it about that list that makes it successful? :/ I cannot get behind it; my list is a tweaked one from Tom Ross's Pro Tour back in 2015 when the deck first got popular.
P.S. 2 Wild Defiance maindeck is such a house; blanked my opponents in Round 2 and Finals, and won with raw damage in three games that day.
@oPopartz: I never really liked Might of Old Krosa. For me it only goes well in BUG infect where you can overload the board with creatures and once all removal is spent you get to use it for value. I have a set of it but it is not good in my current 75 with so many tricks, plus it feels like a sorcery. :/ Piracy Charm does work against Merfolk, Infect, Affinty and stupid Grim Lavamancers thay just have to die. :))
My current SB Plan vs. Eldrazi: -3 Apostle's Blessing, -1 Mutagenic Growth, +3rd and 4th Spellskite, + 2 Dispel (+2 Spell Pierce instead if Colorless Eldrazi for Chalice of the Void and Ratchet Bomb, and -1 more Mutagenic Growth, +3rd Wild Defiance as an extra measure vs. Chalice)
Ok thanks for the replies :)) Unfortunately, both the rest of my deck and I HATED the Tom Ross version so much; it compromised my games in the mirror match and the deck didn't feel like it got the kick it needed against Eldrazi. Add the fact that I'm bad at adapting to deck. changes in such a short period of time... I think I'll be playing my usual list. :)) I'd rather use a dexk that I've bern comfortable with against so many match-ups rather than try to somehow im3prove my hame against a single archetype.I hope I just dodge them early HAHA :))
@froz0016, for the past three months I've used the exact 75 cards I posted on page 116, and I'm not changing anything anytime soon. My playstyle and sideboard guide is just reminiscient of Tom Ross's SCG Premium article of his deck tech for Infect, the one from 2015 when CFB first debuted the deck with Become Immense. I've learned how to play he deck that way and it has never changed.
I made Top8 again out of 60 players only this time, against the ff decks:
Round 1: 2-1 vs. Affinity
Round 2: 2-1 vs. RG Tron
Round 3: 2-0 vs. Affinity
Round 4: 0-2 vs. RG Eldrazi (kept a greedy hand and lost bigtime)
Round 5: 2-0 vs. Domain Zoo
Round 6: Intentional Draw
Quarterfinals: 1-2 vs. Colorless Eldrazi (it wasn't even a loss, it was rape. Felt Wild Defiance's slowness for the first time.)
First time I fought the Eldrazi Menace last weekend. I feel against the RG version max. 4 of Spellskites will help since they have a boatload of removal (Gut Shot, Dismember, Bolt, Kozilek's Return). For the Colorless Eldrazi... I'll have to agree it's best to just race them whatever o.0 Might play a Modified Tom Ross list this coming weekend's GPT.
How are the Dismembers good against EldrazI? And aside from Abzan CoCo, what other decks will they be useful?
Game 1 I bombed a Turn 4 Myojin of Night's Reach before they could do set up anything and Phage went all the way. I worked to get Phage onto the field, then when I attacked the Oloro guy he thought he still had a PTE in his deck which he could Mystical Teachings, but it wasn't there. The Scion guy didn't have the 5th color to cast and oneshot me.
Game 2 was one of my most interesting and savage wins. The Scion guy oneshotted Oloro but is now at a precarious 10 life. Phage was in the graveyard, so I dropped a Nirkana Revenant with two mana open left and Imp's Mischief in hand to threaten with. Having used his oneshot combo, he goes the reanimation route and tries to cast Dance of the Dead on Bladewing the Risen
I read the card.
I looked at the card in my hand.
I looked at Phage in my graveyard.
"Imp's Mischief change the target to Phage?" :))
Hi guys! I finally got to win a pod and kill everyone. I was up against Kaalia (Geddon; same guy last week) and Selvala (Goodstuff). We all tried to recover from a Cataclysm and a cycled Decree of Annihilation, but I was leading the most thanks to Necropotence I was already building a board state to ensure Phage when suddenly the Kaalia guy topdecks Iona, Shield of Emeria. With that, I was forced to use my All is Dust in hand while my Mindslicer was on the field. After that turn, I was left with Torpor Orb to cast Phage and they couldn't find any answers for her going through the Rogue's Passage. You guys are right; we rarely do win games but victory feels so sweet ahahaha. >.< Here's my decklist!
Hi guys. I became the 1st place in a 100+ player event again, the same one from p. 116 with the same exact decklist. We all decided to split the Top 8 pot money. Match-ups were so good, plus the deck was probably happy with its 2 Breeding Pool Expeditions and BFZ foil Noah Bradeley Forests hahaha:
Round 1: 2-0 vs. Ad Nauseam Combo
Round 2: 2-0 vs. Infect
Round 3: 2-1 vs. Storm
Round 4: 2-1 vs. RG Scapeshift
Round 5: 2-1 vs. Merfolk
Round 6: 2-0 vs. RG 'Tron
Round 7: Intentional Draw
Top 8 was: 2x UG Infect, 2x Abzan Collected Company, 3x Eldrazi variants (Colorless, UW, and UR) and GW Hatebears.
4x Young Wolf
4x Skarrgan Pit-Skulk
4x Nettle Sentinel
4x Nest Invader

3x Goldnight Castigator
1x Bedlam Reveler
2x Pieces of the Puzzle
2x Negate
2x Spell Shrivel
1x Summary Dismissal
Currently considering:
Thing In The Ice allows me to play instant-speed unlike Stormchaser Mage. Like the idea too of bouncing Vehicles.
Ceremonious Rejection for the Vehicle and Eldrazi decks? :/ Worth the slot?
Radiant Flames for 2. Sweeper vs. aggro decks?
Fateful Showdown idk; added burn to to the face vs. Control?
4x Glistener Elf
4x Blighted Agent

Can't really play in big local events lately due to medical school + qualifying for PPTQ Dublin Looking forward to testing it in tourneys soon.
1. Can I afford to swap 2 Nature's Claim for 1 Deglamer and 1 Viridian Corrupter? I'm considering this to fight Chalice of the Void, since it's a pretty big tournament and I could run into anything.
2. Should I swap the 2 Twisted Image for a 3rd Dismember and a Grafdigger's Cage? I'd be losing some SB options vs. Affinity, but I'll be gaining some advantage vs. Abzan Company (which I haven't been winning for quite some time now)
4x Wooded Foothills
1x Misty Rainforest
4x Inkmoth Nexus
2x Breeding Pool
