Transaction and currency exchange fees. International arbitage as some cards are more popular in different parts of the world.
One click transaction with someone from America (I am in Korea) is just not possible without Puca. The only other access I have to individual sellers is through Ebay (BLAH!!)
Alternatively, who would want to buy from me an individual based in Korea?
This is a site customized for Magic not full of other junk and is great for getting rid of your cards.
Maybe you live in a place with access to TCG Player and good buy lists or whatever to sell your cards. In that case it probably doesn't offer a huge benefit. Fair enough, don't use it.
Cheers, definitely adding Ophiomancer to my shopping list. Kind of bummed that I traded mine away
It's a lot of fun and I nice little tricky build around that's much better if you get it in the first pack than the third.I play and support a lot of fattie cheating strategies (reanimator, channel, sneak and show) so it's definitely viable.
It's also a lot of fun in that it is super powerful but players feel like they earned it.
Have acquired most of the cards I want but still on the wanted list are:
Flip Jace
Daze
Kalitas
Craterhoof Behemoth
Chandra Torch of Defiance
Selfless Spirit
Hanweir Garrison
Right now i'm pondering wether to make room for a Lilliana, Death's Majesty I acquired and whether The Abyss, Living Death or Ob Nixlis should be the cut.
Two of my favourite things, classic nostalgic cards and cube combined!
Looks heaps of fun.
Following on Cube Tutor now as I am definitely interested in doing something similar.

I don't personally have a problem with cutting cards but I can see your point. Last time we played Dani's cube 2 out of 3 of my opponents were playing at least 50 cards! Cube is too much of a candy shop for most people
I still like to have some of those but recently sold a big chunk of that Modern stuff leaving me with one unccompetitive but favourite deck (Faeries). Haven't regretted it one iota and while everyone loses their mind over bans and eldrazi it feels nice sitting back with my arms behind my head "not my problem".
You have to make Magic work on your terms not Wizards. I was a bit snobby about proxies until I tried them. Now it's not just that they saved me money, it is also more relaxing when other people handle my cards. Which is what happens in the actual part of the game that matters, the playing!
I wouldn't even add the new Wasteland or Force of Will if I open them into my cube over my current proxy versions.
I don't have a Jace flip walker in my cube yet, not stressed. Cube and Magic existed before he did. I will add him eventually but on my terms not in the retail cycle Wizards want you to follow. They get my money every week for retail draft as long as they are doing a good job.
Relax, if the chase isn't fun then don't take part. I am sure your cube is already fun to play with.
Good to know (insert evil chuckle).
I don't really see it doing enough for other decks to drop a pro active green card though.
So overall a thumbs down but I want to grab a copy for potential expansions/rotations if I need to mix it up in the future.
The Magic online (vintage) cube supports/favours combo (even storm) a lot better than most cubes. With that cube as the base line I agreed with their advice. Though personally I'm happy to draft an aggressive White Deck if I get Armageddon.
Until the latest iteration even the Legacy cube online included a lot of signets which most cubes don't in order to preserve the sanctity of green or whatever.
That gives players a good baseline but most cubes I see (including the MTGO Legacy cube) tend to be A LOT more midrange friendly and are more stingy on the fast mana. Or as Brian Wong would say "Mono Fair.Dec" is live. Swords are usually some of the best cards in most cubes compared to their ranking of solid/good in the MTGO Vintage/Holiday cube.
MTGO is largely long term enfranchised competitive players and the vintage cube list caters for that, it's also only available for a fraction of the year. They enjoy or will put up with different things than most and you see that played out by R&D who have skewed recent standard environments towards a lot more mid range. I don't blame cube designers moving away from the Vintage Cube and towards a more "fair" and interactive environment in order to maintain a decent pool of players.
LSV calling it his favourite format is a good quote to run out during the sales pitch to potential new cubers.
Budoka Gardener, Dimir Cutpurse, Ohran Viper.... all cards I tried to build a standard deck around. I brought a Budoka Gardener deck to my first constructed FNM and played Affinity (with artifact lands and Disciple of the Vault) 1st round. It was an um education.
I'm not sure what your Planeswalker Policy is but if you have room for a multi coloured one then Narset fits the theme, but she is probably just bad in cube. Kiblers hyped card Daybreak Ranger is a candidate.
Bloodhall Ooze was a card Rosewater compared to Wild Nacatal.
You also have Gyre Sage listed twice. Perhaps replace it with the Green Delver of Secrets in Honored Heirach
I don't really see him as a strictly beatdown card. More like a Tarmogoyf in that he can put some pressure on and keep your opponents honest if they are doing nothing but he only costs two mana. You don't have to worry about flipping him straight away and it quickly gets to the stage where you can drop him and do something else/keep mana up on your turn.
Eventually he can just win the game by himself which is a good return for two mana.
Added nothing from the new Commander sets despite it looking like a nicely designed set. There are 4 blue cards on the list but blue already feels like the strongest colour so I am not in a rush.
