Grixis has the benefit of being able to take advantage of zombie math. Every fallen fighter adds one more combatant to the Grixis horde of horrors, zombies and demons. In a prolonged fight to the bitter end I gotta believe Grixis would outlast the others.
It'd be nice if you had a decent sac outlet to make sure brimstone volley is always turned on. Having your most reliable answers to Hero of Bladehold be a 2 for 1 card disadvantage means you may have quite a bit of trouble against tempered steel.
Knock him out. Put him in chains. Send him to the bottom of the ocean.
Would he survive that?
I remember The rather abrupt Hulk vs. Wolverine mini-series that came out in the 2000's. Keep in mind that this is either AU or not part of regular continuity and I may be getting details wrong but Nick Fury exposed him to a vacuum and eventually his body basically went into a coma or some kind of stasis and he "woke up" after he was brought out of it. So yes I'm assuming he will survive it.
Oh and Wolverine has been shot point blank through the eye with a .44 magnum and he eventually woke up to hear a woman telling him that after she dug around and removed the bullet his brain regenerated.
Do you need the brave the elements mainboard when you have Kabira Evangel? It seems like most decks will pack so little answers game one that you most likely wont need the Trick to save your guys and the Evangel helps push attacks through better anyway.
Oh, was it now? Must've missed it. I even checked the spoiler to make sure I wasn't being an idiot and I went and did it anyways. Faaaaiil. Sorry about that then, that's a good thought.
No worries man, it's all good. Yeah, I just think barbs would go a long way toward giving the deck a lot of inevitability against most decks.
How is sorin's thirst really better than any of a number of good 2cc instant speed removal options the deck has now? It feels like the life gain is a pretty small bonus for a spell that can only kill 2 toughness creatures.
Firebreathing actually seems incredibly flavorful for the guy considering the tie-in with the name. The Voice of Rage and Ruin stinks of something that should be exhaling volatile amounts of flames. One change I would consider.
Well, he plays nicely with his Archivist at least. Hopefully after the eldrazi rotate out I might be able to try mill without falling completely flat against one of the better players at my FNM who just happens to play eldrazi ramp.
I agree with the guy that said a core set shouldn't make up a significant portion of a standard deck's spells, even utility spells. I remember when core set's were all reprints and block synergies provided the base of decks not core set utility cards. I welcome a turn back toward making block cards matter more again.

Yeah, went in through the eye socket.
edit: It was in Wolverine: Best There Is.

edit: nath'd lol. Might want to think about Searinge Blaze too. That card seems like it would work very well in your deck.
X: Voice of Rage and Ruin gains +X/+0
