I'd definitely be black/white. Dedicating myself to the pursuit of getting ahead and not having to face consequences for whatever actions I have to take lol
I need some help with about half of the sideboard, but the main is designed to maximize the explosive plays RDW can make, resulting in the turn 3 or 4 wins.
I don't think it would be so unfair for New Phyrexia to be down a planeswalker in any case simply because it would seem that the faction would have an aggro tilt (judging by the way phyrexia has been represented in the past), and turning creatures sideways is still the most sure fire way to handle opposing planeswalkers.
I'm gonna have to go with Black/White. I do my best to play by the rules while still trying to make sure I come out ahead. Lawful/Evil is how I'd call it. Only instead of evil, I'd call it self-serving.
And I love how you're assuming that he must be a cheater because he played with foils in his deck.
I am wondering how slightly curved foils in a RDW deck, in an event where your opponent has an opportunity to cut your deck any way they wish, constitutes cheating. Would anyone explain the advantage the player potentially had in this situation?
Knowing where all of his Hell's Thunder's are? I'm assuming thats a pretty decent advantage. Did David Williams not have an advantage by knowing where all of his Accumulated Knowledge's were? I'm guessing he got banned by the DCI for nothing right?
How many people here have seen the Hell's Thunders in question? If we haven't do we have any right to question the judge's ruling? If I was in Nass's situation I would have done the same thing.
I definitely have to agree with the assertion that Skeletal Wurm, is a Vastwood Gorger. The skull structure is just too similar to be anything else I think.
I would probably see if I have good removal in any of my colors first. Then check creature quality then make the decision on colors based on which colors offer me those two things. If I have excellent creatures in black or red, or removal in white that will just be gravy.
I respectfully disagree Wickeddealer. While blue has plenty of good tools I don't think a mono-blue control deck would be any better than a deck running a second color. White still offers efficient removal, great finishers and threats, and great card advantage and other utility. I definitely think Blue/White will be very strong post rotation.
The two decks that top 16'd the Atlanta 5k didn't splash black. But yeah, I like the way the decks look too. I'll probably sleeve up a form of Devastating Summons Red for my next local standard tournament.
If you run a good attacking two drop you give yourself the opportunity to get a turn 3 win with a kicked bushwhacker and devastating summons in the same turn. I'd suggest trying to find a hard hitting two drop for the deck.

He's probably referring to it being Black's turn to be the least obviously usable color in the current iteration of standard.
