New to the Abzan Company deck (running a list similar to the one from Milwaukee). Is there any reason for no Kataki in the SB? Stony Silence is great against Tron, but Kataki seems good as a card that can be tutored by Chord against Affinity.

I've only been play testing the Jace version of Grixis Twin at the moment against Tron and Affinity for a bit, but here are some comments.

    - Terminate over Dreadbore can often be helpful, e.g. destroying the modular target of Ravager, killing a manland, destroying a creature about to be equipped by plating in affinity. Even stopping the combo in mirror matches!
    - 4 Kolaghan's mainboard seems a little heavy, running 3 Cryptics depends on the meta if there's a bunch of Dispel it might not be so good
    - 3 Desolate Lighthouse, this might make assembling Cryptic mana a bit more difficult

Interested in hearing how 4x Jace works out! I'm thinking of cutting one snap for another Jace myself as having him in the early game is great. I'm running Rob Chase's list but with a MD Thoughtseize. I find having more untapped black sources such as Darkslick Shores to be pretty decent so far in avoiding some pain from the mana base.

I'm playing a similar list, based off http://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/330242#paper but also using a 3/1 split of Inquisition and TS.

    Trying out this SB:
    2 Dispel
    1 Negate
    2 Anger of the Gods
    1 Languish
    1 Izzet Staticaster
    1 Engineered Explosives
    1 Vandalblast
    1 Pia and Kiran Nalaar
    1 Keranos, God of Storms
    1 Kolaghan's Command
    1 Grim Lavamancer
    2 Crumble to Dust

I was testing Pia for grindy matchups, I saw some recent lists running it in the side, I assume it acts like a Lingering Souls? Perhaps I will try 2 Crumble to Dust against Tron. I'm running 2 K-Commands and that would be my third in the SB. Is Vandalblast or Shatterstorm better in a Jace list? Vandalblast seems powerful since you can pay the overload cost when casting with Jace.

Any suggestions for sideboards in a meta of Jund, GR Tron, Control (Esper, Mono U Tron), Merfolk, Affinity and other GBx? I'm currently playing the proactive Jace discard one which I'm having fun with. In a Tron heavy meta, should I be packing 2 Molten Rain and a Crumble to Dust? I don't have Bloodmoon, so mine currently looks like this:

    3 Dispel
    1 Negate
    2 Anger of the Gods
    1 Pia and Kiran Nalaar
    1 Languish
    1 Izzet Staticaster
    1 Vandalblast
    1 Engineered Explosives
    1 Keranos, God of Storms
    2 Duress
    1 Kolaghan's Command

Quick ruling question, against a Tron opponent that has mana open and Oblivion Stone in play, what is the interaction with Deceiver/Pestermite? If I attempt to tap it down, can they just blow it up in response to the ETB effect?

Hmm, thank you for your input! I have zero experience with Twin or Grixis Twin for the matter so any help is appreciated. Would you happen to have any recommended lists without Jace to look at? Looking through mtgtop8 and mtggoldfish, it seems like there is still quite a bit of variation to lists (especially mana base).

I'm looking to change over from Grixis Control as I'd like a better matchup against Tron and still have decent ability to grind games out. Has there been more testing with Origins Jace? I was thinking of trying a list like http://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/330242#paper

Or is the counter spell version better rounded?

Thanks gkourou, I'll like try something similar and see how it goes. Does this deck also have a bad match-up against Tron like Chapin's Grixis?

New to this archetype, switching over from Grixis Control just to see how Jace is in Modern. I saw the list by Anthony Lowry but noticed he changed it quite a bit at the tournament itself. I had a few questions such as:

    1. Are Blackcleave Cliffs necessary? Are there stable manabases that don't require them?
    2. Any recent examples using a few maindeck counterspells?

    Thanks.

It's mainly for avoiding things like Choke and Boil. This way we have blue sources that are not islands.

I'm playing the Hangarback version, but do have a Spellskite main as well. How does it help in the mirror against Cranial Plating exactly? Equip/attach is to a creature you control, would Spellskite's ability still be relevant?

4 Mana leaks are an interesting choice, I was actually thinking of increasing my count to 3 and keep 1 Remand myself. Thanks for sharing your list!

Thanks a21ClownSalute for sharing your list, playing the stock list has been underwhelming at times. I will definitely try out yours with Jace. How has the main deck Ghost Quarter and Gifts helped? Have you missed the 1 Remand maindeck at anytime?
