Okay, my mistake. Doesn't explain how that is a scum tell.
People often mention their scum-buddies names in some way before a lot of the action starts to breadcrumb for later on. I don't know why you did; care to explain?
Heh, last time this was brought up, not by you, mind, it was suspicious because I was buddying up to obv-town.
What can I say, it seems you've caught two scum in one swipe. Good work!
Pay more attention. Simple. You already know about the day-talk, because you are Scum, so it was un-needed question (even if you weren't, you would still know this if you paid attention).
You're begging the question here.
What does it matter? It matters a heck of a lot more than if I didn't.
You're not answering the question.
@Az: I stand by what I've said. I think Nakamura needs to die. I'm willing to entertain the idea that he is town, but I am also confident that he will be a liability in a LyLo situation. I think vigging is the way to go.
Of course you want the extended version. But, lazily, I decided to only pick out the Scummy posts,
For some reason, I am not surprised...
because the rest would me marked "Null" and take up too much space. Or, a few of them, because I don't have that much time until later today.
So there will be more later then, I presume?
Most would pass this by as random early comment, but realistically, very few Town want to (or have a reason to) want to "run someone up to claim range" without reason behind it.
I know you weren't around during the pregame, but did you read it? Did you see the state of the game at the time? It was a (I think obvious) joke. Tilde hadn't even posted at the time. I don't see how this can be considered a tell in any direction.
Free breadcrumbs. Eat them or starve.
I have no idea what you even mean by this. Feel free to explain to me how 'ing Manders is a scum tell.
Yes, we all know that, because we were told. Scum-slip, anybody?
How is this a slip?
I didn't remember if the mod had said anything about it. Being too lazy to look it up, I asked in the thread, confident that someone would remember and answer.
Already went over this one. You can read it if you didn't know what I meant.
And I've already responded to it.
You're right -- you already know I'm Town, anyway.
Rather than being snide, can you please answer the question? What does it matter that you had just claimed?
Let's see... You don't actually pay for content patches. You pay for DLC, but that's the same on the PS3.
You don't get "content patches". Microsoft do not allow developers to distribute new content for free. That's why Gabe Newell of Valve recently described the distribution as a "train wreck", and also why the planned free multiplayer DLC for Red Dead Redemption was instead included in another $15 DLC package.
For live, what you're actually paying for, for the most part, is server upkeep. That is, GOOD servers. PS3 servers have a reputation of being laggy with disconnects.
Except for the fact that the game publishers host the servers for their respective games, while your $60 goes to Microsoft.
You also pay for the community options. For a good platform for friends (the PS3's is lackluster), the ability to voice-chat between games and with multiple people (an option the PS3 doesn't offer), access to their contests, access to Facebook/Twittter/etc., so on and so forth.
While those are included in the Xbox live cost, I'm pretty sure that the main draw for most people is the online gaming. That's what they're paying for.
I'm mostly mad about Live costing so much. I don't feel like paying $60 a year to just play every now and then. Why exactly do I have to pay for it again?
Nintendo 64 - Sept. 29 1996
Gamecube - November 18 2001
Gap: Roughly 5 years.
Xbox - November 15, 2001
Xbox 360 - November 22, 2005
Gap: Roughly 4 years.
It's been 5 years since the Xbox 360 has been out. I think in about a year or two they will be releasing a new home console.
Seeing as both Sony and Microsoft are pushing their new motion controllers pretty hard, I think it'll be a while, unless one of them tanks massively. Also, all three console makers have said that this generation will last longer than in the past. I'm thinking two more years, at the very least. Plenty of time to play some of the great games of this generation.
Your count in #1422 had you at 11 votes, but as iBug pointed out, you had DV listed twice.
Since then Vez has unvoted, and Nakamura did another Unvote/vote AI, despite voting for you already.
And, obvious as in if none of them voted for me, it would make life too easy for the Town.
But you have no idea who of the voters/non-voters respectively are scum?
Let's see, you claimed that ability in #1363, and claimed to have lost it in #1442.
Between those, 5 players voted you by my count. (AI, Vez, TFF, Nom, and WoD)
11 players, not counting yourself, posted but did not vote for you. (Myself, DKD, ~V~, Az, DYH, RafK, ~Tilde~, DV, Talore, iBug, and Ced)
Now, assuming that ~25% of the playerbase is scum of some variety, saying that 1/5 players, or 2/11 players, are likely to be scum is statistically likely to be correct.
If you have no way to narrow down who among your 5-player and 11-player subsets are scum, this is all really guesswork, and I fail to see the current value in it.
Of them, at least one Scum would have voted for obvious reasons, and two Scum wouldn't have voted (also, for obvious reasons). We need to analyze it and see what we can use.
I don't see the obvious reasons. Please explain.
How's the PBPA coming along?
While I'm here... @Mod: Prod on Ace, please? I believe it's been ~10 days...
My first point: You, dear Zchnique, are at the top of my new Scum list.
Okay.
-Why would a true, honest Townie be so eager to lynch a Townie who just claimed?
First, I have (so far) not pushed for your lynch. I have said I want you dead, true. That is because, even if you should be town, you will have a huge question mark over your head. You will be a liability in a LyLo situation, should it come to that. With your play and claim, again if you are town, the scum are highly unlikely to ever kill you.
Secondly, do you not realize how horribly, horribly loaded your question is?
"-Why would a true, honest Townie be so eager to lynch a Townie who just claimed?"
Obviously, a "true, honest Townie" would not be a eager to lynch another Townie, if that "true, honest Townie", knew the other Townie's alignment. However, a "true, honest Townie" would not know the other one's alignment, would he?
Thirdly, what does it matter that you had just claimed? You have done so no less than three times during this game already... And it's not like claiming is in any way a sure way not to be lynched, then there would be no point in this game.
Well, because that "true, honest Townie" isn't actually a Townie, they're Scum trying to push other players to lynch that Townie. Why? It would be a very, very easy kill for the Scum to make.
And, hopefully by late tomorrow, I'll have a PBPA up. Busy now.
Could be fun, I don't think I've been subject to a PBPA yet.
But for the PBPA, please get the name right. Or shorthand it, I answer to Z (where not confusing), Zch, and Sir Nils Olav.
So, you do consider it a scum tell?
You think that "knowledge" makes me scum?
at 3 vs. 3 the scum control the lynch, so they will not ever lynch one of their own, assuming reasonable play. Thus there is no need to play it out.
Other things later.
Okay, my mistake. Doesn't explain how that is a scum tell.

I'd like the full PBPA, please. With a side salad and a chocolate shake.
You don't get "content patches". Microsoft do not allow developers to distribute new content for free. ...duck in curry?
Facebook and Twitter!
