Have you considered trying Little Kid Abzan? I'm not sure which Midrange decks you're referring to, but it would be nice to switch every once in a while on the Midrange dudes and they may not even guess after the first 1 or 2 plays by you. After a Liliana of the Veil drops a Wilt-Leaf Liege into play, it will be on their radar. Outside of that, I would say that you need Trackers...many Trackers and a little luck. I do think that Midrange decks are around 50/50 vs. regular Abzan Company.
It's entirely possible that my losses to midrange are all my fault. I feel like my list SHOULD be good against them:

Anyways, I wonder if the Combo Focused Shell with -Eldritch Evolution, +Collected Company, +Militia Bugler would have enough value to push the combo through midrange's answers. If it works, it would only be worthwhile in a meta like mine. I can't see losing Eldritch Evolution and Commune with Nature and/or silver bullets in any other meta.

    Splinter Shard 0
    Creature - Splinter [U]
    ~ is green
    Flying
When ~ leaves the battlefield, ~ deals 1 damage to you and to each creature you control.
    2/1

Splintering Wind is a very weird card. Trying to make a Splinter playable in modern-day magic is very difficult.

Subject16 - Marchesa, Killer Queen: Excellent flavor. Despite monarchy and first strike + deathtouch, this is not a play-to-win commander. It is a chaos-causing, free-for-all instigator. Easily one of the most fun commander designs I've seen.

VolrathTheRisen - Dynamite//Laser Beam: Good flavor. Low power for Constructed, but a bomb common or uncommon for Limited.

Chemtrails - Metamorph Master: Solid flavor. But 6 mana to make a copy of card in hand on the turn you play Metamorph Master or 4 mana for a 2/2 with no abilities if your hand has no creatures or is empty. Feels bad man.

Cardz5000 - Flick of the Wrist: Wording issues? Nice flavor joining mechanics and name. Almost certainly won't see play outside of Limited. Even in Limited, it doesn't guarantee to save a creature, kill a creature, nor push through damage.

Sephon19 - Another One Bites The Dust: I love your flavor + mechanic combination. Definitely underpowered for the cost and rare slot if Morbid isn't on. Consider that Vona's Hunger doesn't see play anywhere.

BrainPo - The Prohphet//The Messiah: Prophets and Messiahs go hand-in-hand in the Bible, but not in "The Prophet's Song" by Queen. Far from it, in fact. At best, the song is about a prophet warning of disaster; at worst, its about a crazy dude shouting about the apocalypse. Your card is hella neat (though a smidge overpowered: maybe a 4/4?), but not really applicable to the challenge.

void_nothing - Magus of the Flash: Great integration of flavor with MtG mechanics/history.

Superbajt - Life//Fantasy: Nice use of the split card mechanic, though I feel this one sorely wants Fuse as well. Good flavor all around. Balanced cost vs effect.

Spelldreamer - Under Pressure: Interesting way to let Izzet colors nuke the field without breaking the color pie. No IIW?

Ulka - Seas of Rhye: Play it on yourself if you're behind, to ramp. Play it on the opponent to color screw them. But if you're on the same number of lands as your opponent or ahead, it is a total waste. Also lacking an IIW.

I'm going to give this one to Dynamite//Laser Beam for top-notch use of mechanics to evoke flavor and theme. Congrats VolrathTheRisen!

I posted about this a while ago, but I think one of the counterspells in the sideboard should definitely be a Disdainful Stroke. It is great against the big mana decks, and it can both creature and noncreature spells. I don't know whether it's better to run 2 Unified Will, 1 Negate, and 1 Disdainful Stroke, or 1/2/1 with the 2-of being Negate.

I don't quite buy this. Against Tron specifically, sure Disdainful Stroke is great, but against a broad field? Can you elaborate on why it warrants a slot?

People have made effective arguments against cutting Unified Will by citing important creatures that Unified Will counters; specifically Wurmcoil, Ulamog, and Primeval Titan. All of those are hit by Disdainful Stroke, which also hits Karn, Ugin, Collected Company, Ad Nauseam, Past in Flames, Scapeshift, Cryptic Command, and more.

    HOWEVER
almost all of those non-creatures that Disdainful Stroke hits are in matchups where the opponent doesn't play many creatures, hence Unified Will would be reliable and effective. Thus, I think we can officially rule out Disdainful Stroke. I'm still not convinced that the split of 3 Negate/1 Unified Will wouldn't be better due to the rise of Vizier combo (need to reliably stop their Chords and Collected Companys), but only time and testing will tell.

Why Signal the Clans instead of Eladamri's Call? I don't think the instant vs sorcery difference is enough to make Signal better than Call.

You're missing some fetchlands. Those seem like auto-includes.

I use Reflector Mage in so many matchups, check the sideboarding pane in my link above. I would feel uncomfortable having less than 3 in the board.

Thank you for the spreadsheet! It's an excellent resource. With Reflector Mage coming in for so so many matchups, have you considered playing it maindeck?

I have 3 ooze main and think any less is a mistake at the moment, its good vs dredge, vs DS, and has incedental splash dmg vs burn and storm.

You are underselling Scavenging Ooze. It can auto-win vs Dredge and Living End, easily controls Tarmogoyf-based matchups, stops infinite Kitchen Finks or Murderous Redcap loops, turns off Snapcaster Mage, can crush opposing Knight of the Reliquarys, ruins Storm, beats reanimation shenanigans, makes Delve decks super sad, turns off Kolaghans's Command and Lingering Souls, has splash damage vs Burn, and has splash damage against any creature heavy deck (will grow big over time).

I'm on an even split of 2 each of Ooze, Voice, Selfless Spirit, Qasali Pridemage, Courser, and Tracker. They've all been great, but as soon as one underperforms, its going to get trimmed down to fit the 3rd Scavenging Ooze.
