    Stoic Angel + Murkfiend Liege
The liege more or less subverts the effect of the angel. For that matter
Exalted stuffs + Topan Ascetic + Murkfiend Liege
attack with only the ascetic, then tap every other creature since you didn't attack with them, and then it all untaps thanks to Murkfiend Liege so you're still open to block.

Much like vampires*, I think that succubi have been "sexied" up in the modern era. If memory serves, the old legends had them as essentially hags that would crouch on chests and steal the breath/souls of sleepers- use whatever metaphorical analysis you want on that and you should be able to find a pretty easy transition to their modern form.

They've appeared in quite a few video games- Several Castlevanias, Darkstalker's Morrigan Aensland, and I think a Final Fantasy or two, and from an art and design point of view, Magic already has things like Soul Collector which could have been printed as a succubus without changing a single thing.

I see them as being printed in R primarily and B secondarily, likely with a Threatenesque CIP or activated ability. Probably creature type Demon (or possibily Devil) and Angel/Vampire sized (3/3-4/4) with flying.

*which prior to the Victorian era were almost always depicted as far more rotting, corrupted, etc. than the suave seducers they've become.

Nope, succubi have always been sexified. However far back you go, a succubus is a demon who takes the form of a young woman and gets men to sleep with it in order to steal their souls. The word itself in Latin literally translates to "one who sleeps under." Succubi were never anything else, and were certainly not ever anything haggish. Incubi, by that same token, are the male versions of succubi, hence their name meaning "one who sleeps on (top)"

Sadly I haven't been able to watch anime lately because my computer's gotten fussy about playing video, and all the dubs, even if I were interested in watching them, I've already seen either from back in the days when I watched dubs or in fansub form long before the dubs came out. So naturally, I've started reading all sorts of manga, and so far I'm up to reading 31 series. Anyway, just found this after years of being an otaku on the MTGS forums, so I thought I'd drop in and say hi ;D

    How about Lich Mirror+Ghostway
It's extended, but it offers a good way of retaining all your creatures once Lich Mirror pushes the auto-reset button.

One problem: once you've fulfilled Windbrisk's condition, this spell can't be played soon enough to be relevant anyway. It's a sorcery, and so can't be played until damage has already been dealt and the combat step is already over, which means playing off of Windbrisk will accomplish nothing more than making your creatures marder to kill until end of turn and making you look silly. As for Mosswort Bridge, my first inclination is to say win more, since if you have 10 or more power of creatures they should be beating everything in their path to a bloody pulp anyway, though I guess if your creatures just can't manage to get through this would do the trick. Finally, as far as Spinerock Knoll, if you've dealt 7 damage to the opponent, this is the very definition of win-more. Now in multi-player this changes a bit. 7 damage to one player or 10 power worth of creatures, especially with the slower overall game play, isn't nearly as big a deal, though Windbrisk is still out. But if that's the case, seems that you almost might as well just hardcast it anyway. The most plausable situation here is that you're playing big green/x/x creatures and you manage to get 10 power out at an early turn by mana ramping, and then play the spell off of Mosswort Bridge to take out one or more players and leave yourself with a ton of life to play around with as the other player tries to fend off the big creatures that, while not pumped up by your ultimatum anymore, are still rather intimidating. Quite a power play, but as far as regular old one-on-one constructed Magic, this card seems worthless since making that much mana should win you the game no matter what you play.

No, You can play this from under a Windbrisk and dominate combat. Following a Spectral Procession, that's a 36 point life swing. If you had a one or two drop, you probably win right there.

You don't get it, this is a sorcery. If you play it with Windbrisk it's already to late to attack witht he tapped creatures! Windbrisk doesn't change when the spell can be played, it just negates paying the cost.

On a side note, it was a pain having to fix that. Please quote properly.

Previews have started, we have 69 spoiled cards, it's high time we start contemplating how we can put them together. So folks, please post any ideas you have for combos involving cards from Shards of Alara here, be it block, standard, extended, or eternal, for casual, multiplayer, two-headed giant, or competitive duel players.

For all of you complaining about its casting cost:

Please do tell me who is actually going to hardcast it.

Turn 4 Win off Windbrisk. Oh, yes.

    No, yes, no.

Copies of spells copy ALL choices made when the spell was played. (X, modes, targets, etc) If you choose "target player gains 7 life; and put target permanent on top of its owner's library", then the copy will also say "target player gains 7 life; and put target permanent on top of its owner's library".

SIDENOTE: I said that copies of spells copy targets chosen. This is 100% true. However, the thing that circumvents the targets being copied is the little line "you may choose new targets for that copy" that is attached to most (all?) copy effects nowadays. If that line weren't there, you would not be able to change the targets.

Choosing to target yourself and land A is different from choosing to target yourself and land B. If you change the target of the half-Plow Under, you have changed targets. You don't have to change each and every target.

You make it sound like at least one target has to be changed. Since it says may, indeed you can go ahead and target the same land AND player if you really want to, you may have all targets the same, or you may change any or all of the targets. Just to clarify.

The only problem with your idea regarding Mirrorweave and Tidewalker is this: Morningtide has a +1/+1 counters theme. Any creature with a +1/+1 counter will survive the combination of Tidewalker and Mirrorweave. Chronozoa with Tidewalker and Mirrorweave, however, works much better.

I was just looking at the partial spoiler and I noticed something very interesting. It includes both Corrupt and Flow of Ideas. These cards have alot in common. They both cost 5C for a sorcery that produces an effect scaled based on the number of basic lands you control that produce the color of mana that pays for the sorcery. So if these orb predictions are accurate, I see 3 more of these, one for white, red, and green. Maybe something like these:

    Verdant Swarm 5G
    Sorcery
Put a 1/1 Insect creature token into play for each forest you control.

    Fiery Cataclysm 5R
    Sorcery
Deal damage equal to the number of mountains you control to each creature.

    Divine Judgement 5W
    Sorcery
Destroy 1 creature you control and 1 creature you don't control for each plains you control.

The basic swamps would not become mountains. However, Urborg would become a mountain and no longer make other lands swamps. Yes, the nonbasic lands can only tap for red mana, and, interestingly enough, they are still nonbasic, even though they are mountains.

Yeah, "Destroy all nonwhite creatures" would be interesting. But I don't know, this block IS supposed to synergize with LOR/MOR, so would mas creature destruction be good for that end? I think "Destroy all *insert qualifier here* lands" might be more on the mark for SHA

Post any combos involving Shadowmoor cards here. This includes combos with reprints, since reprinting opens the card up to new combos in the current format. Please use card tags. And please, please, please post combos, and not deck ideas. And, finally, we're looking for combos, not any of this "mountain + graven cairns" or "Seething Song + Demigod of Revenge" business, post cards that actually have a significant degree of synergy.

When I saw it, I noticed mentor, and I noticed how it shows a bunch of similar-looking creatures. Token shows up 16 times in the orb, so I don't think it's unlikely that the mentors are creature-shapers just like Llanowar mentor.
