I’ll run the GP Madrid streets with mono green Tron tomorrow. It’s just me who felt that the jund matchup after BB elf is not a bye anymore?

I’m looking for a decent sideboard guide for the deck but haven’t found an updated one :p

Thoughts on BG midrange? (Triosk/Thalai from MTGO). I'm thinking in playing it at the PT, currently at Jeskai Flash but I'm not feeling confident enough with the deck after 25 leagues.

I am on a BG list atm, I think it has some merit to it, because I really like Ruins. The lack of Souls is the only problem I have, don't know how good the Control matchups are without them. Did you play against it with Jeskai Flash? Any thoughts?

I tried the BG list (triosk version) on MTGO, and the results weren't as expected. Won most of the clunky decks but lost pretty hard against GDS multiple times. I'm a bit dissapointed right now, but I can't complain after only 3 leagues. I think I shouldn't move from jeskai 12 days before the PT so I'll stick with it. If not, I'd try to master sideboard plan for 5C Humans, which is my other weapon of choice right now.

About BG vs Jeskai, I only faced twice, once regular jund and the other was that FoR list I played. If you manage to deal with early bobs and slow them a bit the match is favourable for jeskai. I played with all flash guys version (I'm on geist right now) which was better IMHO. Queller is sometimes too dangerous, because you win the tempo-game but sometimes decay or push finds a LOTV quelled and it's like a snowball after that.

The 4 Tectonic Edge decklist is the pet deck of a friend of mine, Alberto Galicia. We went together to Albuquerque in Nov as he Q'd in Birgmingham and I did via RPTQ for PT Ixalan the week after that we both played the RPTQ and we both Q'd again, me with 5C humans and he with the same exact 75 of Birmingham (Madrid RPTQ). He's been playing the list since Aug 17: 2400 matches worth of testing, and his SB plan have hundreds of hours behind, he work hard studying the metagame after each tournament to improve his sb'ing and knows his deck very well. He have like 67% winrate with the deck, and finished the last MTGO comp league with 14 trophies I think. I tried the deck in a couple of tournaments and all those tecs felt like garbage, but I made a lot of missplays he wouldn't do, so I can't complain at all.
He's 100% sure about playing tec edge > field on ruin in his decklist and he's going to sign that for the PT, but he's trying to move from the deck after Lyon (and the most than likely bans/unbans that will occour) so I think he won't test FoR at all Smile

I'm playing 4C Saheeli deck. Having played with/with-out Marvel. I used to like 4 copies of Marvel, but a trending thing I found recently is 4 Copies of Marvel version getting reduced in the goldfish instead of multiple PWs+3 oath of Chandra (seldom 1-2 additional Marvel)
I try to see through that. One observation I have is Vehicle decks as worst enemy to Saheeli (my view) are having more and more artifact-hate cards in the SB, like Fragmentize, Release the Gremlins are very good answer to Marvel, either low cost or creating value. Maybe that's the reason why more decks leaning to oath of Chandra in the goldfish.
Expect any of your comments. Thanks!

I think that people are running up to 3 oath of Chandra to deal with the curve of BG on the draw and kill opposing Gideons with +1 Chandra plus Oath. I don't like release the grelims as it don't provide you an instant cheap protection against heart which dodges 3/7 of our removal, and by the time you could cast it for 2+ you could probably be comboing or threatnening to do so at least.

Pro tour Khans of Tarkir, 10/12/2014 : Liliana of the Veil revealed as new RPTQ promo.
Pro tour Battle for Zendikar, 10/18/2015: Snapcaster Mage revealed as new RPTQ promo.

Pro tour Kaladesh 10/14-16/2016 (or maybe, a few days before, as seen on this year GP schedule annoucement)...

Which will be the new RPTQ promo?.

If we consider high-end modern staples as "only" elegibles, because of the reward/payout basis on this promo from the beggining. A few names across my mind:

    Mox Opal: MM15 reprint
Noble Hierarch: MM15 reprint + judge promo
Cavern of Souls: no reprint, pretty expensive card used in legacy/modern
Dark confidant: MM13, MM15 and judge promo
Voice of Resurgence: no reprint, expensive but recent set.
Horizon Canopy / Grove of the Burnwillows: unlikely due to reprint (FTV, expedition) and 0% promo flavour.
    Tarmogoyf: haha, just joking.

After hitting two great and expensive cards which were only printed once, should we expect another expensive and just one time printed card?

    My candidates:

Cavern of souls keeps the INN block theme.
Voice of Resurgence isn't so expensive but reach 40$ mark and foils could pass the "premium" taste test, but it's more recent.
Linvala, Keeper of Silence maybe? With a new stunning Argyle or TNielsen art (<3)non reprinted angel avoided on the last FTV

Other theory is changing the policy to a different reward policy, giving X boosters just for playing, or different promos of lesser value due the lack of "money" modern cards.

    What do you think?

What about Teferi? His clothes looks very Kaladeshy. We've seen Ob Nixilis and Nahiri in the last two blocks, so why don't continue with those walkers? Daretti also seems fine, and Freyalise doesn't fit in Kaladesh IMO. Thoughts?

Despite the fact of UWR being pushed to the top thanks to Nahiri+Emrakul combo, I'm thinking about running a heavy creature based version of UWR a la old style with 3 Restoration Angel, 4 Geist, 4 Snapcaster and 2 Vendillion.

I feel that the combo-thing is pretty well positioned in the current meta, people are playing this deck a lot and the people it's packaging cards like Pithing Needle, Grafiggers Cage and Dreadbore to deal with the combo version. But the fact of combo loosing against regular control UWR itself, and having cards like x4 helix on the main upgrading the buschwaker zoo/burn matchups which are more difficult with nahiri. Also Geist is good against jund imo, always protecting from possible liliana's edict.

I'm planning this to face an open field (WMCQ) with a lot of Melira Pod, Infect, Jund y Jeskai Nahiri, and probably Grixis because it's last results.

What do you think about it guys?

    Thanks!

All I have to say about sideboarding is that I usually sideboard different each time I do it. It depends on what list I'm against, not only the archetype itself.

The magma spray is powerhouse against voice of resurgence and kitchen finks (melira combo, junk..). I do like it a lot. Also works as lightning for bird if needed but I recommend waiting for one of it's main targets.
Slay works very well vs abzan. One extra mana it's not problematic an you keep on with card advantage. I'm testing at the moment tribute to hunger and it works fine against boggles or any 5 thoughtness body.
Anger of the gods is always needed, and I also get damnation in, not langish, because I want to kill rhinos too.

    +1 Magma spray / -1 Lightning bolt
    +1 Slay / -1 Remand
    +1 Damnation / -1 Dispel
+1 Anger of the gods / -1 Cryptic Command
    +1 Countersquall / -1 Mana Leak

One of the main reasons because I don't usually share my sideboarding is because now someone who really know how to play say that I'm completely wrong. And he'd probably be right because I've been playing for 14 months now.

Anyways, the list performs extremely well (24-3 at the moment, lost to the mentioned Naya Zoo, Burn and Boggles, and won against almost every midrange and fair deck of the format with total superiority).

If you want something else I'll try to explain. Btw I'm testing the bunch of lists of top 32 GP OKC with Jaces everywhere, not happy enought by now.

Last weekend I played two modern last chance trial for WMCQ and one modern side event. 5-1 top 4 last man standing, 4-0 won last man standing and 4-0 16 people swiss no top; 13-1 overall with the following list, lost to naya zoo (mana screw) and won grixis twin (2-0), junk x2 (2-1 and 2-0), jund x2 (2-0 and 2-1), affinity (2-0), "blue jund" (2-0), grixis control (2-0), nacatl burn (2-0 lol), melforks (2-1), melira company (2-0) and UR delver (2-0) plus a bye.

Worked like a charm against everything Smile
I'll try the Majors variant, but I'm not confident with its reliability.

    Hi,

I'm preparing my lvl 1 exam, and lvl 2 judge asked me one question about that card ( Bridge from below) and the following situation:

My turn, combat phase, I attack with one non token creature, my opp blocks with other creature and both died after combat.

The question is, what happen with bridge, zombies etc? My answer were, the active player chooses how to put the triggers on the stack, so he can get the token and then exile the bridge, or if he doesn't know how stack works he might lose the token. And it looks like I was wrong (about the bridge and it's triggers, not about stack) but after a bit research I didn't found anything which clarifies the problem.

    Would someone help me?

    Regards.
