Im also running 2 blood moon in the side, on the long run is rhe most efficient way to slow down big mana decks. Its also very useful against 3 color strategies. What changes you made for the mana base? Im running 4 basics, 9 fetchlands

the blood moon gave me free wins against Primeval Titan and scapeshift decks. They usually don't search for basic forest and play the Summoner Pact for their loss.

Personally I would favour an extra fatal push over main deck electrolyze or even an extra kolaghan's command. Dreadbore is maybe sideboard worthy, depending on how many planeswalkers you have at your heels. I HATE sorcery speed removal; so, although meta dependent, dreadbore is bad. A snap bore would be ALL on your turn

The dreadbore is in there because of many Tron and JUND players in my LGS's. I was going to put 2 Kologhan's Command on the main deck but it just to sweet the 2 x 1 on decks with BoP and other 1 toughness creatures.

i have 1 anger of the gods and 1 magma spray on the sideboard for that matchup.

usually comes in magma spray, engineered explosives, magma spray, also my main deck contains 1 Electrolyze. I suggest that you play at least 2 spell snare.

This is my list from my local tcgplayer states
(I think this was the latest kevin jones list but with some jank)

The 21 land was a typo and you can easily play 19 lands.

Anyone else still running Kevin Jones list? , how to sideboard against Eldrazi Tron and Death Shadow decks?

Eldrazi Tron dies to early threats but is really hard to defeat Chalice so you need to hold Spell Snare and Kolaghan Command for it. Crumble to dust eats their mana acceleration making it a "fair" deck but Blood moon sealed it completely making them cast only one spell per turn if they manage to get a Waste.

Death Shaodw doesnt like hard removal, graveyard hate, and Engineered Explosives. I recommend you to use 3-4 Fatal Push main deck and 2 Surgical Extraction on the sideboard. If you don't have Explosives then play Anger of the Gods. Also if Izzet Staticaster is great against many strategies in the meta so one of them in you sb should work great.

Anger of the Gods is really, really bad against Death's Shadow Jund. It's probably worse than useless in the match-up. It's a reasonalby good substitute for Engineered Explosives in general, but EE is good against Death's Shadow as X=1 gets DS and X=2 gets Tarmogoyf. EE is not so great against any Grixis Shadow variant as Banana King and Big, Stinky Fish both laugh at it.

yeah, i did not meant anger against death shadow but as a explosive replacement since it gets swarm decks who are really good against us

Hey guys manages to get a 3-2 on my TCG States ranking a top 8 in a 20 something plater tournament. One loss being for misplays on my part.

LGS mistyped the Watery grave so it should be 20 lands instead of 21 https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/590101#online
I really like Creeping Tar Pit on my deck but I think I will play with 19 lands next time. For the creatures Clique is bust but I think that I will play 2 pyromancers in the main deck and Clique on the sideboard since it gives me blockers against creature decks.

Round 1 - won 2-0 against GR Valakut
Game 1 Early Delver and Tasigur with 3 Lightning Bolts sealed the game early.
Game 2 Turn 4 blood moon after my opponent played a Pact with no basic forest in play.

Round 2 - won 2-1 against Bant Eldrazi
Game 1 My opponent only drew two eldrazi temples on the game so I won fairly easy with delver
Game 2 Lost due to misplaying a Fatal Push instead of Bolt on the late game.
Game 3 Tasigur and Vendilion Clique pressured my opponent late game and I managed to Fatal Push 2 Tough Not seer. Bolt sealed the game.

Round 3 - Lost 0-2 to Naya Valakut, on both game my opponent got to 1 live before Valakuting me to death.
Game 1 Pressured my opponent with two early Delvers but when he got to 6 life he casted multiples Nahiri to deal with my Delvers. I I managed to put him down to 1 with a Gurmag Angler but he Valakuted me next turn. No counter during the game.
Game 2 I added counterspells from my sideboard but my opponent removed all his combo spelled. I was afraid to attack him with my Creeping Tar Pit to leave mana open to counter the combo and that was my lost because he did not won that turn so it should have had that turn and the next to force the 3rd game.

Round 4 - Lost 1-2 to Affinity, first lost on my live against the deck. I have to admit that due to health issues I wasn't playing magic, much less modern. People watching the match told me that I misused my removals on the third game.

Game 1 Lost due to lack of removal and got confident by having 3 flipped delvers. How did I lost? he got 2 cranial platings on play and multiple robots to reattach it instant speed.

Game 2 Got my A game and won. Early Delver and Tasigur with a mix of counters and removal.

Game 3 Mana Screwed for like 6 turns (only 2 lands) but managed to Fatal Push, Bolt and Kommand his threats until he draw more creatures than me and finished me with Galvanic Blast when I was one turn away to win.

Round 5 - Won 2-0 against Death Shadow aggro

Game 1 He only played like 3 Goyf, Inquizition x 2 and Toughtseize x 2. Had the answers for the Goyfs and Tasigur ended the game.
Game 2 I wasn't sure if he was playing Abzan or Death Shadow but I side boarded for the later. Entered my Izzet, Surgicals and Explosives if I recall correctly. During the game I managed to break Delirium using the Surgical Extraction making my opponent lose the ability to Traverse the Ulvenwald. Staticaster broke his Spirits and Fatal push dealed with his Death Shadow.

    Top 8

Got paired with the only TRON player of the day and he did not even considered that i gave him a ride to the event. He got his best draw against me on both games and on Game 2 he survived a t3 Blood Moon by having both Wurmcoil Engine in his hand.

I think that white can be splashed for some cards that are needed like:

    1. Anguished Unmaking - Instant removal for any combo strategy
    2. Manlands - Life gains
    3. Board wipe - we have one that exiles all creatures and 2 that destroy all creatures
    4. Sorin - Alternate Win condition, Kills walkers, life gains, additional draw

We where kind of dropping the use of Probe with he excess of agro this days and now we can Push it to new boundaries. This also stop us from going to 14 on turn 2 (is not often) just to play YP with a token. Remand and a max dose of Mana Leak can return to the deck or Painful Truths can also be on the main deck because this next week I think that we will see less Aggro and Dredge decks because of the bans.

I really think that our sideboard should not change even though I also think that Infect would not be played so often. Maybe the discussion should be

    2 Blood Moon
    2 Surgical Extraction
    or
    4 Surgical Extraction

I recently 5-0'd my league with my Grixis Delver list. The main differences in my list is that I'm running 6 counterspells main; 2 Countersquall (no Mana Leak), 3 Snare, 1 Pierce, only 2 Pyros and 2 Probes (also 3 Spirebluff Canals). Snare and Squall have been complete all-stars thus far, squall get snapcaster'd in a lot of matchups netting 4 damage which can often be the difference in having the reach to finish games if your creatures get shut-down. Snare is just amazing tempo, and never falls off. It's a powerhouse against Affinity and Burn, is relevant in almost every matchup, plus it never falls off. I'm considering dropping the Pierce and making it a 4th Snare, but I value the diversity a lot.

I had one question that I wanted to pose was how has Collective Brutality been performing for you guys, and given the current meta do you think it deserves a mainboard slot, sideboard slot, or some sort of split?

Collective Brutality get rid of some main spells that our opponent controls and we can get value of dead cards so i think that one main deck is fair enough.

So I'm wanting to get back into Modern Delver. A couple of questions: Is engineered explosives necessary? They're super expensive right now, just wondering if I can do well without it while I save up. Also, is there an optimal sideboard for playing on MTGO? Like what decks should I absolutely sideboard for?

engineered explosives they are not necesarry but help a lot in matches that your opponent goes wide like elves or removes planeswalker like liliana. If you don't have them you can use Anger of the gods or more removal on sideboard.

I am thinking to add Saheeli x3, chandra x1 and at least 2 Red Gearhulks. Using chandra ramp we can get gearhulk on furn 5 and with saheeli we can copy any of our creatures for extra value

Counterspells are pretty bad in the current meta. I got crushed in my WMCQ too this weekend playing a more controlling list with 8 maindeck counters (3 leak/2 remand/3snare).

Yeah, to many fast and big creatures. Thought I tested a version with TiTi and it was great. Returning everything to hand it's simply gorgeous against Dredge and Aggro since mana is kind of limited and they need discard spells to do their work

Man, I played exactly that list (different sideboard) on sunday's wmcq but i don't know what happened to me. I lost every round, every game got mana screwed or flooded. I haven't lost that bad with my delver deck since last year, maybe it wasn't for me this time.

IF we want to play chandra main deck, our manabase should be at least 20 lands. I would also like to give a shot to Saheeli since she can create a copy of any creature we have (except Tasigur) but she copies delver flipped (6 damage), Gourmag Angler (10 damage) and young pyromancer (double the tokens).

Plus Saheeli + 1 help us to flip delver

bood moon can be used on a 9-10 fetch manabase with minimun 2-3 island 1-2 swamps and no mountain.
