I'm ok with the SB plan. My original SB has 4 whip flare but I decided to make a last minute change to -2 whip flare + 2 spell pierce. I think I should have kept my SB with 4 whip flares.
Grafdigger's cage is pretty efficient vs pod decks, colorless and since it's an artifact and only 1cc it fits in the deck nicely. Rest in peace doesn't help out in the artifact count and would not work well with ravager. The white mana is also a restriction to consider. You can also sac it to ravager when trying to deal the last point of damage.
About enchantment destrucion, Are you preparing for stony silence? i find that card slow. unless you opponent has that card in his oppening hand and he is playing first, then you have a fighting chance. just make sure you mulligan a really fast hand and board out the big spells.
I have been playing affinity when it was still in standard then in legacy I played it since Scars of mirrodin was released. Now I am playing it in modern. The comment above is based on my experience. Although it's been a while since I last read tech updates in these forums. So feel free to comment if you disagree

I was paired with the UG Infect guy that I played against in the swiss. Unfortunately I run out of luck. No matter how much shuffle I just can't draw the cards that won me the game in the swiss.
You're right Vortex is 3 of at most. Many people choose to only run 2. Also, you need 4 Goblin Guide. Best creature for the deck, regardless of the build.

How useful is COTV vs RUG Delver and what did you take out? I havent played COTV vs delver irl yet. I want to know if it really works. I mean my plan is to use it against them since they have X number of 1cc spells.

Since we will be setting COTV to 1 we need to cut down on 1cc spells. Also pest is not very useful if your other guys already got burned.
On Game 1 I'm ok with loading vault skirge with +1/+1 counters c/o ravager. But game 2 & 3 they are ready with SBs that will ignore the creatures toughness. so even if you can pump skirge with all you got they'll prolly smash it anyway. unlike in game 1 where they are dependent on damage dealing spells and abilities for removals.
I've tried the orb before in sb at a tournament a long time ago. It pretty much sat in sideboard most of the time. It is very narrow, but it what it does affect it does well against (iona, modular, SFM, clones, snapcaster, etc). Needless to say i took them out of my SB a while ago. They don't hose enough IMO.
Have you tried it on the curent meta? or in a meta where SFM and snapcasters are all over the place?
That is my current problem. hopefully torpor orb will be enough.
How about CotV? have you ever tried it yet? want to get as much input as possible. really what to try it against delver irl.
I don't think clones, Iona and Modular is affected though

I feel like sulfiric vortex should only be a 3 of. The fetch lands is to keep my GY fill while I grim lavamancer my oponent.
any suggestion on the SB? we are heavy on Miracles and other blue based decks. i would definately want Martyr of Ashes in my SB by the way.
