Yo! This is ShinyMan. Thanks for commenting on my blog. In response to your courtesy, I'm here to see your blog.
Looking from the openess of T2 right now there could be hundred of deck archetypes between tier 2 to tier 1. Dovescape has always been a tier 1.5 at best. (Win sometimes but doesn't get played and win consistently.) It might take endless effort to push it up to tier 1. But I sure would like to pad your shoulder and say 'Go for it, man!'
Today at midday (My midday, I'm GMT +7.00) I took a ride on MTG.com and also I took a peek for the oracle text. But I couldn't view them and got the replied message as "We're under construction of our database please come back later" or some of the likes. That means 'something' is being done.
Later in the afternoon, I took a peek again and started with Time Vault. And as you have already said. The oracle text remained the same. However, I looked for Palinchron after that.
What I found was our old Palinchron with that 'if you play it from your hand' clause. But the image was missing. It showed a blank card which said 'Card image not found' Which probably meant (In my opinion) that some parts of the database is still under construction. And the updated card text is very likely to be among them. Also note that some images of the cards mentioned in the Saturday article including Cloud of Faeries, Treachery, Iridescent Drake, Karmic Guide and Basalt Monolith were also missing. I tried several new cards that has nothing to change and their images were displayed as normal. Great Whale, Peregrin Drake, Priest of Gix, Time Vault and Intuition's images were displayed normally though.
Why do I believe so? Firstly, it's simply because WotC just said it themselves. Not to abide by such a huge announcement would be plainly stupid. Secondly, WotC plan things months ahead, if not years. Annoucing it on Saturday and suddenly switch side on Monday is highly unlikely. Thirdly, If they have no plan on updating the text, they would go with their plan and tell us so. They wouldn't just mock up an announcement to please people and betray them just two days afterward. Fourthly, some of you might already noticed. Gatherer has undergone huge reconstruction. The interface, the variables for searching, the foreign languages text and some minor changes such as simplifying the terms or re-categorize the search variables.
These are the reasons that WotC bull****ing us is highly unlikely or even close to impossible. Summarizing from the above information I believe that the construction is still under process. And even if the database construction isn't finished in a few days, we still have Forsyte's article coming on Friday to read before concluding anything.
Well, I believe a bleeder deck's weakness is its early game and also from the stampeding fatties. This guy (guys?) doesn't do a lot in early game, but for holding a horde of fatties it's just, wow!
